The reaction of tetrazine 1 with Sc(3)C(2)@C(80) exclusively affords the open-cage derivative 2 instead of the expected C(2)-inserted derivative 3 bearing a four-membered ring, as previously obtained for C(60). The structure of 2 has been firmly established by NMR spectroscopy and theoretical calculations. EPR spectroscopy shows that a single Sc atom of the Sc(3)C(2) cluster gets located within the bulge created by the bridging addend, which is a first step toward release of the internal metal atoms.  相似文献

We have demonstrated for the first time the production of highly polarized short-pulse positrons with a finite energy spread in accordance with a new scheme that consists of two-quantum processes, such as inverse Compton scattering and electron-positron pair creation. Using a circularly polarized laser beam of 532 nm scattered off a high-quality, 1.28 GeV electron beam, we have obtained polarized positrons with an intensity of 2 x 10(4) e+ /bunch. The magnitude of positron polarization has been determined to be 73 +/- 15(stat) +/- 19(syst)% by means of a newly designed positron polarimeter.  相似文献

Numerous antibodies have been developed and validated in recent years, and show promise for use in novel functional protein assays. Such assays would be an alternative to pre-existing comprehensive assays, such as DNA microarrays. Antibody microarrays are thought to represent those functional protein assays. While a variety of attempts have been made to apply DNA microarray technology to antibody microarrays, a fully optimized protocol has not been established. We have been conducting a project to comprehensively produce antibodies against mouse KIAA ("KI" stands for "Kazusa DNA Research Institute" and "AA" are reference characters) proteins. Using our library of antibodies, we established a novel antibody microarray format that utilizes surface plasmon resonance (SPR) technology. A label-free real-time measurement of protein expression in crude cell lysates was achieved by direct readout of the bindings using SPR. Further refinement of the antibody microarray format enabled us to detect a smaller quantity of target proteins in the lysate without the bulk effect. In this review, we first summarize available antibody array formats and then describe the above-mentioned format utilizing updated SPR technology.  相似文献

Novel photo- and proton-coupled behavior of azo-conjugated metal complexes is described. The trans-to-cis isomerization of azoferrocene proceeds not only by the photoexcitation of the π-π* transition band but also by photoexcitation of the MLCT (d-π* transition) band, by a protonation-deprotonation cycle (proton-coupled isomerization), and by an oxidation-reduction cycle (redox isomerization). A platinum tolylazophenylenedithiolato complex shows reversible trans-to-cis photoisomerization, protochromism, and novel proton-coupled cis-to-trans isomerization.  相似文献
