We study a practical approach to match the performance of an output-queued switch statistically. For this purpose, we propose a novel switching architecture called a multiple input/output-queued (MIOQ) switch that requires no speedup for providing sufficient switching bandwidth. To operate an MIOQ switch in a practical manner, we also propose a multitoken-based arbiter which schedules the switch at a high operation rate and a virtual first-in first-out queueing scheme which guarantees the departure order of cells belonging to the same traffic flow at output. Additionally, we show that the proposed switch can naturally provide asymmetric bandwidth for inputs and outputs, which may be important in dealing with the links with different bandwidth demands. Finally, we compare the performance of an MIOQ switch with that of an output-queued switch and discuss the design criteria to match the performance of an output-queued switch.  相似文献

In contrast to the conventional theories, we have revealed that the most distinguished mechanism in the data retention phenomenon after Fowler-Nordheim (FN) stress in sub-100 nm NAND Flash memory cells is the annihilation of interface states. Interface state generation rate increases rapidly as the channel width of NAND flash cell decreases. Comparison of interface states and stress-induced leakage current (SILC) component during retention mode shows that the annihilation of interface states strongly affects data retention characteristics of the programmed cells.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new robust code division multiple access (CDMA) receiver of which weight vector is obtained by projecting the effective spatio-temporal signature waveform onto the signal subspace of the data covariance matrix. We verified our proposed algorithm by the field measured data obtained with a custom-built wideband CDMA test-bed. An Mth order adaptive lattice filter automatically generates all M of the outputs that would be provided by M separate transversal filters. This feature may effectively suppress narrow-band interference (NBI) of either unknown or time-varying bandwidth (or number of frequency bands) in direct-sequence code-division multiple access systems for which the order of the interference rejection filter that achieves the optimal performance is unknown or constantly changing. Moreover, a lattice filter may significantly outperform its transversal counterpart in complex jamming environments in which the adaptive lattice filter must suppress multiple jammers, since each stage of a lattice filter adapts to suppress an orthogonal component of the NBI. The paper develops a computationally efficient and numerically stable adaptive QR-decomposition-based least squares lattice (QRD-LSL)-based nonlinear approximate conditional mean interpolator to suppress NBI effectively. Simulation results demonstrate that both the signal-to-noise ratio improvement and the convergence rate achieved by the proposed interpolators outperform those of other existing prediction-based techniques.  相似文献

We provide teletraffic models for loss probability evaluation of optical burst switching (OBS). We show that the popular Engset formula is not exact for OBS modeling and demonstrate that in certain cases it is not appropriate. A new exact model is provided. In the method, the degree of the adaptive smoothing is controlled based on the significance of each contour point, which is quantified according to inter-region contrast in an intensity image. Digital image processing techniques have been applied to the analysis of cellular smoked foil patterns from gaseous detonations. In particular, the two-dimensional autocorrelation function is applied to digital cell pattern images and an orientational correlation parameter is calculated. Taking line profiles along the directions of highest correlation provides an unbiased method of determining the mean cell size in each of the two principal directions. By analyzing the width, amplitude and angular position of the orientational correlation plots, information can be extracted concerning the cellular pattern regularity, the relative angular correlation between two sets of transverse waves in two directions, and the mean shape or elongation of the cells within the pattern. The technique is applied to smoked foils from oxyacetylene mixtures with argon dilutions ranging from 0 to 75% to quantify the increase in regularity with argon dilution. This method provides a simple and useful way of analyzing cellular patterns and constitutes a promising technique for improving smoked foil diagnostics.  相似文献

Mesoporous polymer microspheres with gold (Au) nanoparticles inside their pores were prepared considering their surface functionality and porosity. The Au/polymer composite microspheres prepared were characterized by transmission electron microscope (TEM), X‐ray diffraction (XRD), and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) techniques. The results showed that the adsorption of Au nanoparticles could be increased by imparting the pore structure and surface‐functional groups into the supporting polymer microspheres (in this study, poly (ethylene glycol dimethacrylate‐co‐acrylonitrile) and poly (EGDMA‐co‐AN) system). Above all, from this study, it was established that the porosity of the polymer microspheres is the most important factor that determines the distribution and adsorption amount of face‐centered cubic (fcc) Au nanoparticles in the final products. Our study showed that the continuous adsorption of Au nanoparticles with the aid of the large surface area and surface interaction sites formed more favorably the Au/polymer composite microspheres. The BET measurements of Au/poly(EGDMA‐co‐AN) composite microspheres reveals that the adsorption of Au nanoparticles into the pores kept the pore structure intact and made it more porous. © 2004 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
