An Economical Magnetocardiogram System Based on High-To SQUIDs

An economical magnetocardiogram （MCG） system is built in our laboratory. It mainly consists of a MCG data acquisition stage equipped with two high-To superconducting quantum interference device （SQUID） magnetometers, a data processing stage with digital filtering and a one-layer μ-metal magnetically shielded room in conjunction with a high-Tc SQUID based active compensation. Experimental results show that a noise level of pico-tesla in MCG profiles, which is necessary for clinical applications, may be achieved with the system. Moreover, stable and convenient operations of the system are demonstrated with simulating MCG measurements.     

Carathéodory's method for a class of second order differential equations on the half-line

The method of equivalent variational methods, originally due to Carathéodory for free problems in the calculus of variations is extended to investigate boundary value problems for a class of second order differential equations on the half-line. Some applications are presented to illustrate the potential of this method.     

0.2 μm AlSb/InAs HEMTs with 5 V gate breakdown voltage

DC and microwave measurements on AlSb/InAs HEMTs with a gate length of 0.21 μm are reported. The reverse gate characteristics exhibit relatively low gate leakage current and gate-drain breakdown voltages as high as 5 V. Equivalent circuit modelling yields an f_T of 110 GHz after removal of the gate bonding pad capacitance. The bias dependence of f_max is examined indicating a significant reduction in the unilateral gain due to impact ionisation     

Controller for digital audio power amplifier with bit stream input

A new controller for a digital audio amplifier with bit stream input is proposed. The proposed controller has excellent features such as wide error correction range and no limitation on the modulation index. The controller is implemented in the half-bridge class-D amplifier and performance is verified through experiments.     

Parton-hadron duality in event generators

The validity of local parton-hadron duality within the framework of HERWIG and JETSET event generators is investigated. We concentrate one ⁺ e ^– annihilations in LEP 2 energy range as these interactions provide theoretically the cleanest condition for the discussion of this concept. We conclude that the concept of local parton-hadron duality is not valid in either of the two generators considered.     

NiCuZn铁氧体和银内电极的共烧行为

NiCuZn铁氧体正作为磁介质广泛地应用于低烧多层片式电感，因此有必要对其与银内电极的共烧行为进行研究。该文主要介绍NiCuZn铁氧体／银内电极多层复合体共烧过程中的烧结收缩、界面反应、扩散对介质性能的影响。尖晶石结构中存在相当数量的空位，这为银离子提供了一定的溶解度，因此在共烧过程中银对铁氧体的相组成影响较小。银对铁氧体性能的影响体现在两个方面。一方面是由于银具有相对低的烧结温度，从而在烧结过程中起到助烧剂的作用，促进致密化过程，提高烧结体的密度和磁导率；另一方面，银促使铁氧体中的铜在晶界处析出，导致晶界处应力，使磁导率降低，晶粒生长也被一定程度地抑制。     

DDS技术在数字激光相位测距仪中的应用

本文介绍了直接数字合成(DDS)技术在激光相位测距仪中的应用。使用该技术研制的数字激光相位测距仪具有操作简便、携带方便、性能可靠的特点，测相精度优于干分之一。     

ANALYSIS AND PROCESSING OF LMF－COSTAS STEPPED FREQUENCY RADAR SIGNAL

Linear Modulated Frequency (LMF) Costas Stepped Frequency Radar (SFR) signal is introduced. Its ambiguity function is derived and analyzed in detail and its feasibility is validated in theory. The scheme of the proposed signal processing is also presented. The results of theoretic analysis and simulation show that, by using the proposed signal and increasing the bandwidth of the total stepped frequency, the ambiguity sidelobe is well suppressed and the range-velocity coupling in the stepped frequency radar is also greatly weakened.     

A One‐Kilobit PQR‐CMOS Smart Pixel Array

The photonic quantum ring (PQR) laser is a three dimensional whispering gallery (WG) mode laser and has anomalous quantum wire properties, such as microampere to nanoampere range threshold currents and √T‐dependent thermal red shifts. We observed uniform bottom emissions from a 1‐kb smart pixel chip of a 32×32 InGaAs PQR laser array flip‐chip bonded to a 0.35 µm CMOS‐based PQR laser driver. The PQR‐CMOS smart pixel array, now operating at 30 MHz, will be improved to the GHz frequency range through device and circuit optimization.     

Electrotunable Non‐reciprocal Laser Emission from a Liquid‐Crystal Photonic Device

A liquid crystal (LC) photonic device with an anisotropic optical heterojunction structure has been fabricated. The device has a phase‐retarding nematic LC (NLC) layer sandwiched between two polymer cholesteric LC films with right‐handed helices of different pitches. Electrotunable non‐reciprocal light transmittance and unidirectional circularly polarized (CP) lasing emission have been successfully demonstrated for this device structure. Two left CP (LCP) lasing emission peaks are observed at the edges of the overlapping region between the two photonic bands in the structure and are shifted upon the application of a voltage. In contrast, a non‐reciprocal right CP (RCP) lasing emission peak emerges at one of the band edges and diminishes upon the application of a voltage. These phenomena are interpreted based on the selective reflection of RCP light and the reorientation of the NLC molecules by the application of a voltage.
