Reconstruction of Scalar Field Dark Energy Models in Kaluza-Klein Universe

This paper is devoted to study the modified holographic dark energy model by taking its different aspects in the flat Kaluza-Klein universe.We construct the equation of state parameter which evolutes the universe from quintessence region towards the vacuum.It is found that the modified holographic model exhibits instability against small perturbations in the early epoch of the universe but becomes stable in the later times.We also develop its correspondence with some scalar field dark energy models.It is interesting to mention here that all the results are consistent with the present observations.     

On the Product of Almost Dunford–Pettis and Order Weakly Compact Operators

In this paper, we give some results on the product of positive almost Dunford–Pettis and interval preserving order weakly compact operators. As consequence, we derive some interesting consequences. Also, we look at the dual counterpart.     

Bragg scattering of sound by surface waves in shallow water

We present a theory of Bragg scattering of sound by surface gravity waves which are nearly periodic with a slowly varying envelope. Through several examples we illustrate how the resonant scattering of sound from a CW source in shallow water can reveal the characteristics of weak surface waves. Only plane sound waves of a guided mode are studied in this paper. Specific examples include the scattering by surface waves which are modulated in amplitude and/or phase. The incident sound waves are sinusoidal but detuned. Applications to short surface waves riding on long surface waves are examined.

Starting from a study of perturbation equations for stationary Newtonian fluid flow in deformed axisymmetric tubes, we propose a semi-analytical method allowing to generate in a given section of the conduit, an arbitrary velocity profil previously defined. We get this velocity profile by geometrical modification of the duct walls on a given length. Ferroelectric properties of mixtures of a liquid crystalline polymer and its side-group mesogen

Abstract

We present the results of our studies of the ferroelectric properties of mixtures of a high polarization, ferroelectric liquid crystalline copolymer and its side-group antecedent, a high polarization, low molecular weight, ferroelectric mesogen. These two materials are found to be completely miscible in all proportions. Spontaneous polarization values and electro-optical response times are found to be monotonic functions of the weight percentage of the mesogen in the mixture, while optical tilt angles do not exhibit such a monotonic dependence.
