The synthesis and characterisation of a homologous series of rhodium 2,2′-biphenyl complexes featuring intramolecular dative bonding of the nominally inert and weakly coordinating trifluoromethyl group are described. Presence of these interactions is evidenced in the solid state using X-ray diffraction, with Rh−F contacts of 2.36–2.45 Å, and in solution using NMR spectroscopy, through hindered C−CF3 bond rotation and the presence of time-averaged 1JRhF and 2JPF coupling.  相似文献

The continued threat of emerging, highly lethal infectious pathogens such as Middle East respiratory syndrome coronavirus (MERS‐CoV) calls for the development of novel vaccine technology that offers safe and effective prophylactic measures. Here, a novel nanoparticle vaccine is developed to deliver subunit viral antigens and STING agonists in a virus‐like fashion. STING agonists are first encapsulated into capsid‐like hollow polymeric nanoparticles, which show multiple favorable attributes, including a pH‐responsive release profile, prominent local immune activation, and reduced systemic reactogenicity. Upon subsequent antigen conjugation, the nanoparticles carry morphological semblance to native virions and facilitate codelivery of antigens and STING agonists to draining lymph nodes and immune cells for immune potentiation. Nanoparticle vaccine effectiveness is supported by the elicitation of potent neutralization antibody and antigen‐specific T cell responses in mice immunized with a MERS‐CoV nanoparticle vaccine candidate. Using a MERS‐CoV‐permissive transgenic mouse model, it is shown that mice immunized with this nanoparticle‐based MERS‐CoV vaccine are protected against a lethal challenge of MERS‐CoV without triggering undesirable eosinophilic immunopathology. Together, the biocompatible hollow nanoparticle described herein provides an excellent strategy for delivering both subunit vaccine candidates and novel adjuvants, enabling accelerated development of effective and safe vaccines against emerging viral pathogens.  相似文献

3,3‐Disubstituted allylic boronic esters are not sufficiently reactive to react with ketones and imines. However, they can be converted into the corresponding borinic esters by the sequential addition of nBuLi and TFAA. These reactive intermediates possess the perfect balance between reactivity and configurational stability. Their enhanced reactivity allows the highly selective allylation of both ketones and ketimines, and facile access to adjacent quaternary stereocenters with full stereocontrol. The versatility of the methodology is demonstrated in the construction of all possible stereoisomers of a quaternary‐quaternary motif and by the allylation of the heterocycles, dihydroisoquinoline and indole.  相似文献

The formation and propagation of thermal fronts in a cylindricalmedium that is undergoing microwave heating is studied in detail.The model consists of Maxwell's wave equation coupled to a temperaturediffusion equation containing a bistable nonlinear term. When the thermal diffusivity is sufficiently small the leading-ordertemperature solution of a singular perturbation analysis isused to reduce the system to a free boundary problem. This approximationis then used to derive predictions for the steady-state penetrationand profiles of the temperature and electric fields. These solutionsare valid for arbitrary values of the electric conductivity,and thus extend the previous (small conductivity) results foundin the literature. A quasi-static approximation for the electric field is thenused to obtain an ordinary differential equation for the relaxationdynamics to the steady state. This equation appears to accuratelydescribe the time scale of the electric field's evolution bothwith and without the presence of a strongly coupled temperaturefront, and may be of wider interest than the model for microwaveheating studied here.  相似文献

In this paper a one-machine scheduling model is analyzed wheren different jobs are classified intoK groups depending on which additional resource they require. The change-over time from one job to another consists of the removal time or of the set-up time of the two jobs. It is sequence-dependent in the sense that the change-over time is determined by whether or not the two jobs belong to the same group. The objective is to minimize the makespan. This problem can be modeled as an asymmetric Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) with a specially structured distance matrix.
