The closely associated phenomena of preequilibrium emission and evaporation residue formation in fusion-like reactions were studied in central collisions between40Ar andnatCa at 30 MeV/u. Heavy reaction products were taken in coincidence with neutrons and light charged particles. The preequilibrium neutron data agree very well with predictions of a quantal phase-space model which, in addition to the mean field, takes two-body collisions properly into account. Preequilibrium emission ends in thermally equilibrated hot nuclei with an average excitation energy of about 6 MeV/u. The combined results show a striking interrelation between the missing mass and light-particle multiplicities: the mass difference between the full compound mass and the observed residues can be explained quantitatively by the emission of only neutrons and light charged particles withZ2 during the entire course of energy dissipation.Supported by the German Bundesministerium für Forschung und Technologie (BMFT) under contract 06 HD 983I  相似文献

Sulfation is a potentially important post-translational modification of proteins and has been demonstrated in a number of polypeptides, notably in gastrointestinal hormones. In contrast to phosphorylation, however, the investigation of sulfation patterns in tissues and on purified proteins has been complicated by the absence of specific immunoreagents (antibodies) for this modification as well as the chemical lability of the sulfate group. Here, we investigate the properties of a novel mAb against sulfated tyrosyl groups (anti-Tyr(SO(3)H) antibody) using CE and a panel of sulfated and nonsulfated peptides and proteins. The data show that the anti-Tyr(SO(3)H) antibody is completely specific for compounds containing sulfated tyrosyls. Affinity electrophoresis experiments allowed us to estimate dissociation constants for sulfated hirudin fragment (56-65), gastrin-17, and cholecystokinin octapeptide (CCK8) in the 1-3 microM range. The affinity of the antibody toward complement 4 protein that contains three sulfotyrosines was analyzed by surface plasmon resonance technology and modeled according to a bivalent-binding model which yielded a K(d1) of 20.1 microM for the monovalent complex. The same binding was studied by CE and found to be in the micromolar scale albeit with some uncertainty due to complex separation patterns. The work illustrates the amount of information on antibody-antigen interactions that may be obtained with microelectrophoretic methods consuming minute quantities of material. Furthermore the specificity of this antibody could be confirmed in one operation using an array of sulfated and nonsulfated compounds.  相似文献

Selective separation of heavy metal ions from acidic aqueous solutions is of strong interest for certain industrial processes, such as electroplating, as well as environmental protection, for example battery recycling. Amino-functionalized adsorbents are often discussed as suitable material for this purpose. Herein, two silica-based adsorbents functionalized with 3-aminopropyl- and 3-[2-[2-aminoethylamino]-ethylamino]-propyl-ligands resulting in adsorbents MonoA and TriA, respectively, were investigated regarding their separation behavior with focus on nickel(II) and cobalt(II) in batch as well as continuous flow experiments in acidic aqueous solutions. For both adsorbents, pH shifts into the alkaline range were observed in the process solutions, causing precipitation of metal hydroxides mainly in the particle pores in case of adsorbent MonoA and a combination of precipitation and adsorption regarding adsorbent TriA. Contrary to prior studies, our findings evidence that amino-functionalized adsorbents are not applicable for nickel(II) and cobalt(II) in selective adsorption processes and additionally demonstrate that, besides batch investigations, continuous flow experiments are essential for well-founded adsorbent selections in process development.  相似文献

Resonant ionization laser ion sources (RILIS) are popular ion sources if intense, radioactive ion beams (RIBs) with minimal isobaric contamination are required. The intensity of the ion beam depends strongly on the applied resonant laser ionization scheme. Based on the all solid state laser system TRIUMF’s RILIS (TRILIS) is using, the off-line development towards an efficient ionization scheme for yttrium is presented. Several continuous wavelength scans have been performed to compare different nonresonant ionization schemes and to identify suitable Rydberg or autoionizing states for resonant ionization schemes.  相似文献

Laser ion sources are in use extensively to ionize the nuclear reaction products at many on-line radioactive ion beam facilities. They have proven to be reliable and to combine good production efficiencies with chemical selectivity. A Laser ion source is currently under development for the SPIRAL2 project at GANIL.
