Continuous rise in the number of users as well as the increased requirement of bandwidth per user has created a need to use the spectrum efficiently. Cognitive radios are solutions proposed to address the problem of using the spectrum efficiently. Regulatory bodies around the world, FCC included, have introduced specifications intended for cognitive radio applications. TV White Space devices, which operate in the spectrum holes caused by transition from analog to digital transmission, were the first targeted applications for cognitive radio specifications (IEEE 802.22, ECMA-392). However, to maximize the potential of the idea of cognitive radios it is desirable to be able to sense the spectrum across a wide band and accordingly transmit ??smartly??. This paper presents a possible transceiver architecture meant for integrated solutions while providing tentative block level specifications for the proposed architecture. Existing spectrum sensing techniques are discussed and an integrated low power system architecture at the PHY level suitable for waveform-based spectrum sensing technique that utilizes co-operative spectrum sensing methods is proposed. 相似文献

Many mobile propagation models are going under intensive corrections; recently, to suit other new criteria's such as rough terrain areas. This proposed model modifies Hata main urban equation by adding a formula representing a logarithmic linear regression estimator of the standard deviation (σ) of the measuring campaign path in Amman city, Madaba city, and Jiza town, Jordan. High correlation factor of −96.7% is calculated between excess measured path loss compared to Hata urban path loss and log(σ). Root mean square error (RMSE) difference between this model and the measured raw data path loss has overcome RMSE calculated for Hata model, by an average of 21 dB, for open areas. The correction of suburban areas is calculated, on average, as 20 dB, and for urban areas as 17 dB. 相似文献

In this study, direct quantification of ethanol and methanol in distilled alcoholic beverages using Raman spectroscopy was performed. Raman spectra of varying ethanol–methanol mixtures were obtained, baseline corrections were made, and the data were normalized using Raman scattering intensity of an internal standard (acetonitrile, 921 cm–1). Then, calibration graphs were produced for ethanol and methanol concentrations in the ranges of 0–7 M and 0–10 M, respectively. Accurate R2 values of the calibration graphs proved the notable linear correlations (0.998 for ethanol and 0.998 for methanol). The method was validated based on linearity, sensitivity, intraday and interday repeatability, and recovery tests. The limit of detection and limit of quantification values of the validated method were determined for ethanol concentration as 1.2 and 3.7 mM, and for methanol concentration as 3.4 and 10.3 mM, respectively. The ability of the developed method to detect ethanol and methanol concentrations in real samples was also investigated. The results of the developed method were compared with the experimental results from traditional method and high correlation value (R2 = 0.926) was obtained. Besides being sensitive and cheap, the developed method is rapid with the analysis time of less than 30 s. Furthermore, it eliminates labor‐consuming operations, chromatographic separation, and measurement error due to the high number of experiment steps in the standard method. We give new proofs and explain the origin of several combinatorial identities of Fu and Lascoux, Dilcher, Prodinger, Uchimura, and Chen and Liu. We use the theory of basic hypergeometric functions, and generalize these identities. We also exploit the theory of polynomial expansions in the Wilson and Askey-Wilson bases to derive new identities which are not in the hierarchy of basic hypergeometric series. We demonstrate that a Lagrange interpolation formula always leads to very-well-poised basic hypergeometric series. As applications we prove that the Watson transformation of a balanced ${_{4}\phi_{3}}$ to a very-well-poised ${_{8}\phi_{7}}$ is equivalent to the Rodrigues-type formula for the Askey-Wilson polynomials. By applying the Leibniz formula for the Askey-Wilson operator we also establish the ${_{8}\phi_{7}}$ summation theorem. 相似文献

A coefficient of restitution (COR) is used to represent viscoplastic dissipation of energy in the contact region of colliding bodies [6]. A model has been developed that distinguishes between rate-independent plastic and rate-dependent viscous energy dissipation during impact. A nondimensional contact force shape factor for compression α is introduced which can be measured experimentally. The measured α and COR are used to separate the energy dissipated during collision into part due to plastic deformation and another part due to viscous dissipation. In comparison to the viscoelastic compliance model, the viscoplastic compliance model approximates the force profile accurately, especially in terms of the maximum force that occurs during impact. 相似文献

A new preservation approach is presented in this article to prolong the lifetime of raw chicken meat and enhance its quality at 4 °C via coating with highly soluble kidney bean protein hydrolysate. The hydrolysates of the black, red, and white kidney protein (BKH, RKH, and WKH) were obtained after 30 min enzymatic hydrolysis with Alcalase (E/S ratio of 1:100, hydrolysis degree 25–29%). The different phaseolin subunits (8S) appeared in SDS-PAGE in 35–45 kD molecular weight range while vicilin appeared in the molecular weight range of 55–75 kD. The kidney bean protein hydrolysates have considerable antioxidant activity as evidenced by the DPPH-scavenging activity and β-carotine-linolenic assay, as well as antimicrobial activity evaluated by disc diffusion assay. BKH followed by RKH (800 µg/mL) significantly (p ≤ 0.05) scavenged 95, 91% of DPPH and inhibited 82–88% of linoleic oxidation. The three studied hydrolysates significantly inhibited the growth of bacteria, yeast, and fungi, where BKH was the most performing. Kidney bean protein hydrolysates could shield the chicken meat because of their amphoteric nature and many functional properties (water and oil-absorbing capacity and foaming stability). The quality of chicken meat was assessed by tracing the fluctuations in the chemical parameters (pH, met-myoglobin, lipid oxidation, and TVBN), bacterial load (total bacterial count, and psychrophilic count), color parameters and sensorial traits during cold preservation (4 °C). The hydrolysates (800 µg/g) significantly p ≤ 0.05 reduced the increment in meat pH and TVBN values, inhibited 59–70% of lipid oxidation as compared to control during 30 days of cold storage via eliminating 50% of bacterial load and maintained secured storage for 30 days. RKH and WKH significantly (p ≤ 0.05) enhanced L*, a* values, thus augmented the meat whiteness and redness, while, BKH increased b* values, declining all color parameters during meat storage. RKH and WKH (800 µg/g) (p ≤ 0.05) maintained 50–71% and 69–75% of meat color and odor, respectively, increased the meat juiciness after 30 days of cold storage.
