We present an improved method to compute the radiative momentum transfer in the Pioneer 10 and 11 spacecraft that takes into account both diffusive and specular reflection. The method allows for more reliable results regarding the thermal acceleration of the deep-space probes, confirming previous findings. We propose an adaptive online load-balancing protocol for multi-gateway Wireless Mesh Networks (WMNs) which, based on the current network conditions, balances load between gateways. Traffic is balanced at the TCP flow level and, as a result, the aggregate throughput, average flow throughput and fairness of flows improves. The proposed scheme (referred to as Gateway Load-Balancing, GWLB) is highly responsive, thanks to fast gateway selection and the fact that current traffic conditions are maintained up-to-date at all times without any overhead. It also effectively takes into account intra-flow and inter-flow interference when switching flows between gateway domains. We have found the performance achievable by routes used after gateway selection to be very close to the performance of optimal routes found by solving a MINLP formulation under the protocol model of interference. Through simulations, we analyze performance and compare with a number of proposed strategies, showing that GWLB outperforms them. In particular, we have observed average flow throughput gains of 128% over the nearest gateway strategy. 相似文献

During the last years (2000–2014), many publications concerning the forensic analysis of questioned documents have been published, and new techniques and methodologies are nowadays employed to overcome forensic caseworks. This article reviews a comprehensive collection of the works focused on this issue, including dating studies, the analysis of inks from pens and printers, the analysis of paper, the analysis of other samples related to questioned documents and studies on intersecting lines. These sections highlight the most relevant analytical studies by a wide range of analytical techniques. Separation and spectrometric techniques are critically discussed and compared, emphasizing the advantages and disadvantages of each one. In this paper, radiation characteristics of H-plane sectoral horn antenna are treated systematically by investigation of main structural design parameters and, flare edge rolling, throat bending and asymmetric flare effects. The analytical regularization method (ARM) is used to solve the problem of E-polarized wave diffraction in a fast and accurate way. The numerical procedure is initially verified by the analytical solutions, and then the calculated directivity gain patterns are demonstrated for the modeled horn antenna configurations. Proper choices of the antenna parameters, such as horn depth, aperture length, feeder waveguide width, flare angle, wall thickness, flare edge rolling and throat bending are proposed for the designers to reach high directivity gain, narrow beam width, suppressed side lobe levels, increased front-to back ratio and improved aperture efficiency. 相似文献
