The effectiveness of maleic anhydride grafted ethylene propylene diene monomer rubber (EPDM-g-MAH) as an interfacial compatibilizer in enhancing the extent of interaction between natural rubber (NR) matrix and organoclay (OC) nanolayers, and also the eventually developed microstructure during a melt mixing process, has been evaluated as an alternative material to be used in place of commonly used epoxidized NR with 50 mol % epoxidation (ENR50). The latter usually weakens the processability of the final compound. The curing behavior, rheological, and dynamic mechanical properties of the prepared nanocomposites have been evaluated. Microstructural characterizations revealed better interfacial compatibilization by EPDM-g-MAH than ENR50, which is attributed to the lower polarity of the EPDM-g-MAH and hence more affinity for the NR matrix to be diffused onto the galleries of OC. This was confirmed with transmission electron microscopy (TEM) examination and higher elasticity exhibited by the unvulcanized NR/OC/EPDM-g-MAH nanocomposites in melt rheological measurements. Also, lower damping behavior was observed for the vulcanized NR/OC/EPDM-g-MAH samples. These imply intensified polymer–filler interfacial interaction and hence restricted viscous motions by the NR segments. Vulcanized NR/OC nanocomposites compatibilized with EPDM-g-MAH showed greater enhancements in tensile properties than the sample compatibilized with ENR50. 相似文献

The n-queens problem is a classical combinatorial optimization problem which has been proved to be NP-hard. The goal is to place n non-attacking queens on an n×n chessboard. In this paper, two single-solution-based (Local Search (LS) and Tuned Simulated Annealing (SA)) and two population-based metaheuristics (two versions of Scatter Search (SS)) are presented for solving the problem. Since parameters of heuristic and metaheuristic algorithms have great influence on their performance, a TOPSIS-Taguchi based parameter tuning method is proposed, which not only considers the number of fitness function evaluations, but also aims to minimize the runtime of the presented metaheuristics. The performance of the suggested approaches was investigated through computational analyses, which showed that the Local Search method outperformed the other two algorithms in terms of average runtimes and average number of fitness function evaluations. The LS was also compared to the Cooperative PSO (CPSO) and SA algorithms, which are currently the best algorithms in the literature for finding the first solution to the n-queens problem, and the results showed that the average fitness function evaluation of the LS is approximately 21 and 8 times less than that of SA and CPSO, respectively. Also, a fitness analysis of landscape for the n-queens problem was conducted which indicated that the distribution of local optima is uniformly random and scattered over the search space. The landscape is rugged and there is no significant correlation between fitness and distance of solutions, and so a local search heuristic can search a rugged plain landscape effectively and find a solution quickly. As a result, it was statistically and analytically proved that single-solution-based metaheuristics outperform population-based metaheuristics in finding the first solution of the n-queens problem. 相似文献

In the present study, a nonlocal continuum model based on the Eringen’s theory is developed for vibration analysis of orthotropic nano-plates with arbitrary variation in thickness. Variational principle and Ritz functions are employed to calculate the size dependent natural frequencies of non-uniform nano-plates on the basis of nonlocal classical plate theory (NCLPT). The Ritz functions eliminate the need for mesh generation and thus large degrees of freedom arising in discretization methods such as finite element (FE). Effect of thickness variation on natural frequencies is examined for different nonlocal parameters, mode numbers, geometries and boundary conditions. It is found that thickness variation accompanying small scale effect has a noticeable effect on natural frequencies of non-uniform plates at nano scale. Also a comparison with finite element solution is performed to show the ability of the Ritz functions in fast converging to the exact results. It is anticipated that presented results can be used as a helpful source in vibration design and frequency optimization of non-uniform small scaled plates. 相似文献

In this paper, a novel LC quadrature oscillator (QO) is presented that can simply and automatically cancel the phase and amplitude
errors raised by mismatches in LC tanks; the major source of phase and amplitude errors. The design is based on method of
using unequal coupling factors in a parallel quadrature oscillator (P-QO). This method shows how we can cancel phase and amplitude
errors simultaneously by choosing appropriate inversely proportional coupling factors. To cancel the errors, the proposed
circuits first sense the phase error and increase or decrease the difference between the coupling factors accordingly. When
tuning tail currents, the coupling factors can be simply adjusted. The entire system has a block diagram like a PLL. The dynamics
of the proposed circuit is analyzed, and it is shown how the phase and amplitude error is canceled in response to an imposed
LC tank mismatch. To evaluate the circuit, a QO has been designed to oscillate at 5 GHz with 1.8 V supply and 6.2 mA current
consumption. The circuit has been simulated using TSMC 0.18 CMOS practical model where all the results confirm the analytical

Optimization of alcoholic‐assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction of pentachlorophenol (PCP) and determination of it with high‐performance liquid chromatography (UV‐Vis detection) was investigated. A Plackett‐Burman design and a central composite design were applied to evaluate the alcoholic‐assisted dispersive liquid–liquid microextraction procedure. The effect of seven parameters on extraction efficiency was investigated. The factor studied were type and volume of extraction and dispersive solvents, amount of salt, and agitation time. According to Plackett‐Burman design results, the effective parameters were type and volume of extraction solvent and agitation time. Next, a central composite design was applied to obtain optimal condition. The optimized conditions were obtained at 170‐μL 1‐octanol and 5‐min agitation time. The enrichment factor of PCP was 242 with limits of detection of 0.04 μg L?1. The linearity was 0.1–100 μg L?1 and the extraction recovery was 92.7%. RSD for intra and inter day of extraction of PCP were 4.2% and 7.8%, respectively for five measurements. The developed method was successfully applied for the determination of PCP in environmental water samples. 相似文献
