Misfit-layered calcium cobaltites (Ca3Co4O9, Ca3Co3.9Fe0.1O9, and Ca3Co3.9Mn0.1O9), as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, were synthesized by a simple hydro-decomposition method. All synthesized samples do not show any impurity phase. They exhibited plate-like particle with the particle size of 1–2 μm. The specific capacities of doped samples showed higher electrochemical performance compared to the undoped sample. After charge/discharge of 50 cycles, the specific capacities of Ca3Co4O9, Ca3Co3.9Fe0.1O9, and Ca3Co3.9Mn0.1O9 were 343, 562, and 581 mAh g?1, respectively. The doped samples showed an increase of over 60% compared to the undoped sample. The cyclic voltammetry profile of the doped samples showed the enhanced reactivity corresponding to their improved electrochemical performance. The capacity improvement of doped samples resulted from the metal oxide/Li conversion reactions, volume change, and high reactivity.  相似文献

This paper proposes iPTT, a peer‐to‐peer (P2P) Push‐to‐Talk (PTT) service for Voice over IP (VoIP). In iPTT, a distributed and mobile‐operator independent network architecture is presented to accelerate the deployment of the PTT service. Based on the serverless architecture, we develop two mechanisms, that is, flooding‐based floor control mechanism (FFC) and tree‐based floor control mechanism (TFC), for real‐time talk‐burst determination. The determination algorithms and the corresponding message flows for these two mechanisms are designed to show the feasibility of FFC and TFC. The performance of FFC and TFC is investigated through our analytical and simulation models in terms of the determination latency and the number of floor‐control message exchanges. Block copolymers have been extensively studied over the last few decades because they can self‐assemble into well‐ordered nanoscale structures. The morphologies of block copolymers in confined geometries, however, are still not fully understood. In this work, the fabrication and morphologies of three‐dimensional polystyrene‐block‐polydimethylsiloxane (PS‐b‐PDMS) nanostructures confined in the nanopores of anodic aluminum oxide (AAO) templates are studied. It is discovered that the block copolymers can wet the nanopores using a novel solvent‐annealing‐induced nanowetting in templates (SAINT) method. The unique advantage of this method is that the problem of thermal degradation can be avoided. In addition, the morphologies of PS‐b‐PDMS nanostructures can be controlled by changing the wetting conditions. Different solvents are used as the annealing solvent, including toluene, hexane, and a co‐solvent of toluene and hexane. When the block copolymer wets the nanopores in toluene vapors, a perpendicular morphology is observed. When the block copolymer wets the nanopores in co‐solvent vapors (toluene/hexane = 3:2), unusual circular and helical morphologies are obtained. These three‐dimensional nanostructures can serve as naontemplates for refilling with other functional materials, such as Au, Ag, ZnO, and TiO2.

Single-crystalline TiOF(2) nanotubes were prepared by a one-step solvothermal method. The nanotubes are rectangular in shape with a length of 2-3?μm, width of 200-300?nm, and wall thickness of 40-60?nm. The formation of TiOF(2) nanotubes is directly driven by the interaction between TiF(4) and oleic acid in octadecane to form the 1D nanorods, and this is followed by a mass diffusion process to form the hollow structures. The synthesis approach can be extended to grow TiOF(2) nanoparticles and nanorods. Compared with TiO(2), which is the more commonly considered anode material in lithium-ion batteries, TiOF(2) has the advantages of a lower Li-intercalation voltage (e.g., to help increase the total voltage of the battery cell) and higher specific capacities. The TiOF(2) nanotubes showed good Li-storage properties with high specific capacities, stable cyclabilities, and good rate capabilities.  相似文献

Glutathione‐decorated 5 nm gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and oppositely charged poly(allylamine hydrochloride) (PAH) were assembled into {PAH/AuNP}n films fabricated layer‐by‐layer (LbL) on pyrolytic graphite (PG) electrodes. These AuNP/polyion films utilized the AuNPs as electron hopping relays to achieve direct electron transfer between underlying electrodes and redox proteins on the outer film surface across unprecedented distances >100 nm for the first time. As film thickness increased, voltammetric peak currents for surface myoglobin (Mb) on these films decreased but the electron transfer rate was relatively constant, consistent with a AuNP‐mediated electron hopping mechanism.  相似文献

The way cells communicate is not fully understood. However, it is well-known that extracellular vesicles (EVs) are involved. Researchers initially thought that EVs were used by cells to remove cellular waste. It is now clear that EVs function as signaling molecules released by cells to communicate with one another, carrying a cargo representing the mother cell. Furthermore, these EVs can be found in all biological fluids, making them the perfect non-invasive diagnostic tool, as their cargo causes functional changes in the cells upon receiving, unlike synthetic drug carriers. EVs last longer in circulation and instigate minor immune responses, making them the perfect drug carrier. This review sheds light on the latest development in EVs isolation, characterization and, application as therapeutic cargo, novel drug loading techniques, and diagnostic tools. We also address the advancement in plant-derived EVs, their characteristics, and applications; since plant-derived EVs only recently gained focus, we listed the latest findings. Although there is much more to learn about, EV is a wide field of research; what scientists have discovered so far is fascinating. This paper is suitable for those new to the field seeking to understand EVs and those already familiar with it but wanting to review the latest findings.  相似文献
