Recent studies have shown the anti-inflammatory activity of Copaiba oils may be addressed to the high content of β-caryophyllene, the most common sesquiterpene detected, especially in the Copaifera multijuga Hayne species. In the present study, nanoemulsions were proposed as a delivery system for copaiba oil in view to treat locally inflamed skin. This article describes the optimization and validation of a stability-indicating SPME-GC method, for β-caryophyllene analysis in the nanoemulsions produced by high pressure homogenization. SPME methods are performed with PDMS (polydimethylsiloxane) fiber (100 μm). Three SPME parameters were evaluated by a three-level-three-factor Box–Behnken factorial design as potentially affecting the technique efficiency. According to the results obtained, the best conditions to extract β-caryophyllene were: (i) sampling temperature of 45 °C, (ii) sampling time of 20 min and (iii) no NaCl addition. Results coming from the forced degradation tests showed a reduction of β-caryophyllene peak area when both caryophyllene methanolic solution and nanoemulsions were exposed to acid hydrolysis, UV-A irradiation, oxidative (H2O2) and thermolitic (60 °C) conditions. Such reduction occurred in lower extent in the nanoemulsions, suggesting a protective effect of the formulation to β-caryophyllene content. Since no degradation products were detected in the same retention time of β-caryophyllene, the specificity of the method was demonstrated. The method was linear in the range of 0.14–0.68 μg mL−1 of β-caryophyllene (r2 > 0.999), and was also validated for precision (R.S.D. ≤ 5.0%), accuracy (97.85–101.87%) and robustness. Finally, the method was applied to quantification of β-caryophyllene content in the developed formulations.  相似文献

In this paper, we have studied the plasmatic membrane behavior using an electric circuit developed by Hodgkin and Huxley in 1952 and have dealt with the variation of the amount of time related to the potassium and sodium conductances in the squid axon. They developed differential equations for the propagation of electric signals; the dynamics of the Hodgkin–Huxley model have been extensively studied both from the view point of its their biological implications and as a test bed for numerical methods, which can be applied to more complex models. Recently, an irregular chaotic movement of the action potential of the membrane was observed for a number of techniques of control with the objective to stabilize the variation of this potential. This paper analyzes the non-linear dynamics of the Hodgkin–Huxley mathematical model, and we present some modifications in the governing equations of the system in order to make it a non-ideal one (taking into account that the energy source has a limited power supply). We also developed an optimal linear control design for the action potential of membranes. Here, we discuss the conditions that allow the use of control linear feedback for this kind of non-linear system.  相似文献

Radiometric "artifacts" are known to be present to varying degrees in the reflective-band imagery from both Landsat-4 and Lansat-5 Thematic Mappers (TMs). The most common artifacts are known as scan-correlated shift (SCS), memory effect (ME), and coherent noise (CN). The characterization and correction of these artifacts has been performed for both the Landsat-4 and Lansat-5 TMs. SCS is a sudden shift in bias that can be as large as 2 DN. However, this artifact can be accurately quantified and easily removed from imagery using a line-by-line bias subtraction. ME causes the detector response to undershoot after a sudden transition from a bright target to a dark target. For large transitions, this can cause a 2% radiometric error. This artifact can be removed through a spatial filtering operation. Lastly, CN is a periodic pattern that is most often seen in homogeneous portions of TM imagery. The amplitude of this noise artifact is quite small, less than 0.5 DN. While CN has been accurately characterized, a correction procedure is not recommended, due to the small amplitude of this artifact. Recommendations are given for proper processing of TM imagery to remove the effects of these artifacts.  相似文献

Abstract

The sorption of pentachlorophenol (PCP) onto the aquatic humic matter (HM) for very wide concentration range (60 ng PCP/L - 1 mg PCP/L) was investigated. The binding affinity increased significantly with the acidity of the solution. The dissolved organic carbon (DOC) normalized sorption coefficients (log KOC) of PCP were 3.39 at pH 3, 3.19 at pH 5.5 and 3.01 at pH 7. The binding of PCP took place via a two step binding mechanism: the rapid first step was followed by a second much slower one indicating that the surface of the HM is very heterogeneous containing binding sites with different binding affinities. It was possible to obtain a “fully saturated” HM-PCP adduct (also all possible micro-voids of the HM were occupied) in a very high PCP concentration. The log KOC value for the whole concentration range was slightly smaller than that obtained under very low PCP concentration level. The Langmuir isotherm was the most suitable for the whole concentration range of PCP, whereas the Freundlich model was the most suitable for the low concentration range of PCP. The dissimilarities between different sorption models were as a whole marginal and thus it is possible without significant loss of information to describe the PCP sorption with a linear model. The results verify that the conventional humic (HA) and fulvic (FA) acid type humic solutes of fresh waters account for the main part of the PCP sorption.  相似文献

The formulation is developed in the frequency domain and the finite difference method is used for the numerical solution of the scalar wave equation, written in terms of the transverse components of the magnetic field. As a result a conventional eigenvalue problem is obtained without the presence of spurious modes due to the implicit inclusion of the divergence of the magnetic field equal to zero. The formulation is developed to include biaxial anisotropic dielectrics with an index profile varying arbitrarily in the cross section of the waveguide under analysis. This formulation is then applied to the analysis of the influence on the dispersion characteristics of the dimensions of asymmetric coupled rectangular uniaxial anisotropic dielectric waveguides. As expected, the reduction of the height or the width of one of the rectangular dielectric waveguides causes the dispersion curves to move towards higher frequencies.  相似文献

We have investigated Bi doping in the bulk and in a = 13 tilt grain boundary in ZnO using ab-initio DFT-calculations. We obtain a negative segregation energy suggesting that bismuth accumulates in the grain boundary. The Bi-atom causes considerable atomic displacements in the grain boundary increasing the local Bi–O bond length and attracting an O-atom on the opposite side of the structural unit in the grain boundary. The results suggest the formation of a Bi–rich phase in the grain boundary. The Bi-atoms act as donors and the conduction electrons are quasi-localised in the grain boundary region.  相似文献

An improved method for the preparation of the heme octapeptide acetyl-MP8, obtained by proteolysis of horse heart cytochrome c, is described. AcMP8 obeys Beer's law at pH 7.0 in aqueous solution up to a concentration of 3 x 10(-)(5) M. The self-association constant measured at 25 degrees C (log K(D) = 4.04) is an order of magnitude lower than that for MP8, reflecting the role of the N-acetyl protecting group in abolishing intermolecular coordination. However, AcMP8 does form pi-stacked dimers in aqueous solution with increasing ionic strength. A more weakly packed pi-pi dimer reaches a maximum abundance at approximately 3 M ionic strength, but a more tightly packed dimer is favored at &mgr; > 3 M. An equilibrium model based on charge neutralization by specific binding of Na(+) ions gives a total molecular charge of 3- for AcMP8 at pH 7.0 and a self-association constant log K(D) = 4.20. AcMP8 exhibits six spectroscopically active pH-dependent transitions. The Glu-21 c-terminal carboxylate binds to the heme iron at low pH (pK(a) = 2.1) but is substituted by His-18 (pK(a) = 3.12) as the pH increases. The two heme propanoic acid substituents ionize with pK(a)'s of 4.95 and 6.1. This is followed by ionization of iron-bound water with a pK(a) = 9.59, DeltaH = 48 +/- 1 kJ mol(-)(1), and DeltaS = -22 +/- 3 J K(-)(1) mol(-)(1). The electronic spectra indicate that AcMP8 is predominantly in the S = (5)/(2) state at pH 7.0, while the hydroxo complex at pH 10.5 corresponds to an equilibrium mixture of S = (5)/(2) and S = (1)/(2) states at 25 degrees C. In the final transition, His-18 ionizes to form the S = (1)/(2) histidinate complex with a pK(a) of 12.71. AcMP8 is relatively stable under alkaline conditions, dimerizing slowly at high pH (k = 2.59 +/- 0.14 M(-)(1) s(-)(1)) to form a high-spin &mgr;-oxo-bridged species. The pH-dependent behavior of AcMP8 in the presence of excess 3-cyanopyridine, however, is markedly different. At low pH, AcMP8 simultaneously binds the exogenous ligand and the Glu-21 c-terminal carboxylate with a pK(a) < 2. His-18 replaces the carboxylate ligand at higher pH (pK(a) = 2.60), and both heme propanoic acid groups ionize with a mean pK(a) = 5.10. Unlike AcMP8.OH(-), the axial histidine of the 3-CNPy complex ionizes at near neutral pH (pK(a) = 7.83), prior to being replaced by OH(-) (pK(a) = 10.13). The sixth transition in the AcMP8/3-CNPy system produces the bis(hydroxo) complex (pK(a) > 13).  相似文献

Relative radiometric responses for the thematic mapper (TM) band 6 data from Landsat-4 and Landsat-5 were analyzed, and an algorithm has been developed that significantly reduces the striping in Band 6 images due to detector mismatch. The TM internal calibration system as originally designed includes a DC restore circuit, which acts as a feedback system designed to keep detector bias at a constant value. There is a strong indication that the DC restore circuitry implemented in Band 6 does not function as it had been designed to. It operates as designed only during a portion of the calibration interval and not at all during acquisition of scene data. This renders the data acquired during the calibration shutter interval period virtually useless for correction of the individual responses of the four detectors in Band 6. It was observed and statistically quantified that the relative response of each of the detectors to the band average is stable over the dynamic range and throughout the lifetime of the instrument. This allows an alternate approach to relative radiometric correction of TM Band 6 images  相似文献
