Wireless sensor networks (WSN) consist of hundreds of miniature sensor nodes to sense various events in the surrounding environment and report back to the base station. Sensor networks are at the base of internet of things (IoT) and smart computing applications where a function is performed as a result of sensed event or information. However, in resource‐limited WSN authenticating a remote user is a vital security concern. Recently, researchers put forth various authentication protocols to address different security issues. Gope et al presented a protocol claiming resistance against known attacks. A thorough analysis of their protocol shows that it is vulnerable to user traceability, stolen verifier, and denial of service (DoS) attacks. In this article, an enhanced symmetric key‐based authentication protocol for IoT‐based WSN has been presented. The proposed protocol has the ability to counter user traceability, stolen verifier, and DoS attacks. Furthermore, the proposed protocol has been simulated and verified using Proverif and BAN logic. The proposed protocol has the same communication cost as the baseline protocol; however, in computation cost, it has 52.63% efficiency as compared with the baseline protocol. 相似文献
In this paper, an algorithm is proposed for detection and joint estimation of parameters of multiple targets using rotating antenna array. This paper is sequel to our previous work addressing a two element antenna array only. Joint estimation of number of targets, the targets’ range, Doppler and their directions of arrivals is carried while the effects of antenna rotation are compensated for a multi element linear array. The effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by the simulation results carried out for an eight element array. The proposed algorithm is able to resolve targets with same range and Doppler. The computations of the proposed algorithm are calculated and comparison is also given with other algorithms.
In this paper, a framework of smart transportation system is proposed, aiming to address the transportation problem in Karachi city. In modern day world, the mega cities and urban areas are on the edge of transformation into smart cities. With the advancement of engineering and technology, smart cities are designed to integrate and utilize these scientific innovations to provide smart solutions and social innovations for sustainable infrastructure, thus they are able to provide its resident highest quality of life by utilizing its resources effectively. One of the major application of smart cities is the Smart Transportation System, which provides safer, quick, environment friendly service to the residents. Thus, this study highlights the current traffic situation of Karachi and propose a framework to transform it into a smart transportation system. In order to have a smart transportation system, it is necessary to have in-depth knowledge and information about the city dynamics and its traffic related issues. Therefore, this study also highlights current traffic situation of Karachi, its road conditions and capacity, vehicles condition, alternate mean of transport (other than road-based system) and its present condition, and finally proposes a framework to develop a smart transportation system while keeping in mind the aforesaid traffic problems.

Density and viscosity data of proline (Pro) in sodium dodecyl sulfate/cetyltrimethylammonium bromide/poly (oxyethylene) isooctyl phenyl ether in formamide were measured at 298.15, 303.15, 308.15, and 313.15K and 0.1MPa. The density data were utilized to evaluate standard partial molar volumes (φ0V) and partial molar isobaric expansibility (φ0E). The viscosity data were used to evaluate A-and B-coefficients, free energy of activation of viscous flow (⊿μ0*1) and (⊿μ0*2), per mole of solvent and solute respectively, enthalpy (⊿H*) and entropy (⊿S*) of activation of viscous flow. The next generation video surveillance systems are expected to face challenges in providing computation support for an unprecedented amount of video streams from multiple video cameras in a timely and scalable fashion. Cloud computing offers huge computation resources for large-scale storage and processing on demand, which are deemed suitable for video surveillance tasks. Cloud also provides quality of service guaranteed hardware and software solutions with the virtual machine (VM) technology using a utility-like service costing model. In cloud-based video surveillance context, the resource requests to handle video surveillance tasks are translated in the form of VM resource requests, which in turn are mapped to VM resource allocation referring to physical server resources hosting the VMs. Due to the nature of video surveillance tasks, these requests are highly time-constrained, heterogeneous and dynamic in nature. Hence, it is very challenging to actually manage the cloud resources from the perspective of VM resource allocation given the stringent requirements of video surveillance tasks. This paper proposes a computation model to efficiently manage cloud resources for surveillance tasks allocation. The proposed model works on optimizing the trade-off between average service waiting time and long-term service cost, and shows that long-term service cost is inversely proportional to high and balanced utilization of cloud resources. Experiments show that our approach provides a near-optimal solution for cloud resource management when handling the heterogeneous and unpredictable video surveillance tasks dynamically over next generation network. 相似文献
Garlic has long been considered as a natural remedy against a range of human illnesses, including various bacterial, viral and fungal infections. This kind of antibiotic activity of garlic has mostly been associated with the thiosulfinate allicin. Even so, recent studies have pointed towards a significant biological activity of trisulfides and tetrasulfides found in various Allium species, including a wide range of antibiotic properties and the ability of polysulfides to cause the death of certain cancer cells. The chemistry underlying the biological activity of these polysulfides is currently emerging. It seems to include a combination of several distinct transformations, such as oxidation reactions, superoxide radical and peroxide generation, decomposition with release of highly electrophilic S(x) species, inhibition of metalloenzymes, disturbance of metal homeostasis and membrane integrity and interference with different cellular signalling pathways. Further research in this area is required to provide a better understanding of polysulfide reactions within a biochemical context. This knowledge may ultimately form the basis for the development of 'green' antibiotics, fungicides and possibly anticancer agents with dramatically reduced side effects in humans. 相似文献
