Mixed needlets     
The construction of needlet-type wavelets on sections of the spin line bundles over the sphere has been recently addressed in Geller and Marinucci (2008) [14], and Geller et al. (2008, 2009) [12] and [13]. Here we focus on an alternative proposal for needlets on this spin line bundle, in which needlet coefficients arise from the usual, rather than the spin, spherical harmonics, as in the previous constructions. We label this system mixed needlets and investigate in full their properties, including localization, the exact tight frame characterization, reconstruction formula, decomposition of functional spaces, and asymptotic uncorrelation in the stochastic case. Semantic networks (SNs) are excellent knowledge representation structures. However, large semantic networks are difficult to comprehend. To overcome this difficulty, several methods of partitioning have been developed that rely on different mixes of structural and semantic methods. However, little has appeared in the literature concerning the question whether a partition of a semantic network creates subnetworks that agree with human insight. We address this issue by presenting a comparison between the results of an algorithmic partitioning method and a partition created by a group of experts. Subsequently, we show how a network partition can be used to generate various partial views of a semantic network, which facilitate user orientation. Examples from the Unified Medical Language System (UMLS) SN are used to demonstrate partial views  相似文献

A promising solution to protect wired Internet networks is to use the Secure Internet Protocol (IPSec); however, this has some drawbacks, particularly on the quality of service (QoS). This paper aims at evaluating the video traffic QoS in terms of end‐to‐end delay and packet loss rate. Based on some basic assumptions, our analysis shows that the performance with IPSec is rapidly inferior to the IPv4 performance. We thus suggest adding some QoS parameters into IPSec in order to achieve a compromise between QoS and security.  相似文献

The ν = 0 and 1 rotational spectrum of BrO in the 2Π32 state has been observed in selected regions between 60 and 400 GHz. The precision of previously measured parameters and the quality of the fit has been improved. In addition, the centrifugal distortion constant, D02, the effective Λ-doubling constant, qeff, the perpendicular quadrupole coupling constant, eqQ2, and a linear combination of the magnetic hyperfine constant, b, and nuclear spin-rotation constant, Crs, have been measured for the first time. The values of ωe and ωexe derived from the mechanical constants are in good agreement with very recent optical data.  相似文献

An electrospray ionization (ESI)/fast-flow technique has been applied to the study of gas phase hydrogen/deuterium (H/D) exchange kinetics. Multiply charged ubiquitin ions [ubiquitin + nH](n)(+), in charge states n = 7-13, were reacted with ND(3). The behavior of ND(3) as exchange reagent is different from that of the previously studied reagents, D(2)O and CH(3)OD. Contrary to those, the maximum number of exchanged hydrogen atoms and the overall exchange rate were observed to increase with increasing charge state of the ubiquitin ions. The results are reagent-dependent because the exchange mechanisms are different for the different reagents. This observation is in agreement with a recent conclusion by Beauchamp and co-workers that contrary to the assumption often expressed in earlier studies, H/D exchange kinetics may not directly reflect ion structures. The results for all three reagents are, however, consistent with observations of previous ion mobility experiments that with increasing charge state the conformers change from more compact, partially folded structures to elongated nearly linear ones. H/D exchange of (ubiquitin + 13H)(13+) with ND(3) leads to two separated ion populations reflecting the possible existence of two conformers with different exchange rates. The ions (ubiquitin + 8H)(8+) and (ubiquitin + 11H)(11+) represent a partially folded structure and an unfolded structure, respectively, and were studied in greater detail. The relative abundances of ions were measured in steps of 0.5 m/z (mass-to-charge ratio), as a function of the ND(3) flow rate. The experimental results were simulated by computer fitted curves based on a recently developed algorithm. The algorithm allows the extraction of sets of grouped rate constants. Eight rate constant groups were deduced for each of the two ions. These rate constants correspond to 32 and 44 H/D exchanges for the 8+ and 11+ charged ions, respectively. The results indicate higher individual rates for most of the exchanged atoms in the 11+ ion compared to the 8+ ion.  相似文献
