Abstract From the early days of alchemy, heating has been a primary method to promote chemical reaction and to obtain new materials. Organic and inorganic compounds, such as benzene and sulfuric acid, were being prepared pyrolytically by the early 19th century. The use of light, particularly the advent of the laser in this century, added another tool for chemical reaction. The ease of regulation and superior selectivity of laser frequencies are advantages over the thermal reaction. State-to-state chemistry in combination with the laser is highly developed at the present time. On the other hand, although some of the black-box character of thermal reactions makes it difficult to rigorously study reaction mechanisms, most of the new compounds are still created by the effects of heating. 相似文献

The Raman, infrared and 1H-NMR spectra of (CH3)3 -X-Si (CH3)3 (X=O,S,Se,Te) were measured, and the assignment was carried out by comparison with those of the structurally related compounds, (CH3)3 SiCl and (CH3)3 Si-Si (CH3)3. The vibrational spectra of (CH3)3 Si-X-Si (CH3)3 can be interpreted in terms of a non-rigid D3d symmetry with internal rotations, because those of skeletones of the molecules indicate the lack of coincidence between Raman and infrared frequencies. A theoretical study of the temperature-dependent gain and noise figure effects on erbium-doped fiber amplifiers (EDFAs) pumped at 1480 nm is investigated, solving the propagation equations related to two level systems. The solution of these equations is based on the population and temperature difference among amplification levels. The temperature-dependent propagation equation considered is used to determine the gain and noise figure effects on EDFAs. The population difference depends on pump and signal powers, Boltzmann factor KB, cross-sections, noise figure (NF) and Er3+ concentration. The temperature-dependent gain and noise figure effect the EDFA length are numerically obtained for the temperature range of −20 °C to +60 °C. Axinelloside A was isolated from the lipophilic extract of the Japanese marine sponge Axinella infundibula as a strong human telomerase inhibitor (IC(50) 2.0 microg/mL). It has the molecular weight of 4780.4 as the monoisotopic mass of the 19 sodium salt. The chemical structure was elucidated mainly by spectroscopic methods (2D NMR and MS). Axinelloside A consists of twelve sugars, e.g., a scyllo-inositol, a D-arabinose, 5 D-galactoses, and 5 L-fucoses, together with an (R)-3-hydroxy-octadecanoic acid, 3 (E)-2-hexadecenoic acids, and 19 sulfates. 相似文献
