In this article,the aptitude of natural gas as feedstock in steam reforming process for hydrogen production is compared with that of different liquid fuels (pure compounds and commercial fuels),with the aim to investigate the potentialities of biofuels to overcome the CO2 emission problems deriving from fossil fuel processing.The performances of a nickel based catalyst (commercially used in steam reforming of natural gas) were evaluated in terms of feed conversion and yield to the different products as function of temperature,space velocity and water/fuel ratio.Furthermore,a preliminary evaluation of catalyst durability was effected by monitoring yield to H2 versus time on stream and measuring coke formation at the end of experimental tests.High yields to hydrogen were obtained with ail fuels investigated,whereas the deactivation phenomena,which are correlated to carbon deposition on the catalyst,were observed with all tested fuels,except for methane and biofuel.  相似文献

In this paper the lower bound theorem of limit analysis for No-Tension materials is applied to study the equilibrium of spiral vaults, modeled as continuous unilateral membranes. The most efficient approach to the equilibrium of a thin shell is the covariant representation proposed by Pucher and adopted in the present study. Statically admissible singular stresses in the form of line or surface Dirac deltas and lying inside the masonry, are taken into account. The unilateral restrictions require that the Airy stress function representing the stress, be concave. The case study is a helical stair with a central pillar in Sanfelice Palace in Naples, whose structure is a tuff masonry spiral vault. The maps of the stress corresponding to two different stress functions and the safety factors in the two cases are provided.  相似文献

An approximate solution at the critical point of the pairing transition from harmonic vibration to deformed rotation in gauge space is found by analytic solution of the collective pairing Hamiltonian. Human bones recovered from the archaeological site of Pontecagnano (Salerno, Italy) have been studied to reconstruct the diet of an Etrurian population. Two different areas were investigated, named Library and Sant' Antonio, with a total of 44 tombs containing human skeletal remains, ranging in age from the 8th to the 3rd century B.C. This time span was confirmed by 14C dating obtained using Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) on one bone sample from each site.Atomic Absorption Spectrometry (AAS) was used to extract information about the concentration of Sr, Zn, Ca elements in the bone inorganic fraction, whilst stable isotope ratio measurements (IRMS) were carried out on bone collagen to obtain the delta13C and delta15N. A reliable technique has been used to extract and separate the inorganic and organic fractions of the bone remains.Both IRMS and AAS results suggest a mixed diet including C3 plant food and herbivore animals, consistent with archaeological indications.  相似文献

During the last years, oxide semiconductors have shown that they will have a key role in the future of electronics. In fact, several research groups have already presented working devices with remarkable electrical and optical properties based on these materials, mainly thin-film transistors (TFTs). Most of these TFTs use indium-tin oxide (ITO) as the material for source/drain electrodes. This paper focuses on the investigation of different materials to replace ITO in inverted-staggered TFTs based on gallium-indium-zinc oxide (GIZO) semiconductor. The analyzed electrode materials were indium-zinc oxide, Ti, Al, Mo, and Ti/Au, with each of these materials used in two different kinds of devices: one was annealed after GIZO channel deposition but prior to source/drain deposition, and the other was annealed at the end of device production. The results show an improvement on the electrical properties when the annealing is performed at the end (for instance, with Ti/Au electrodes, mobility rises from 19 to 25 cm2/V ldr s, and turn-on voltage drops from 4 to 2 V). Using time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF-SIMS), we could confirm that some diffusion exists in the source/drain electrodes/semiconductor interface, which is in close agreement with the obtained electrical properties. In addition to TOF-SIMS results for relevant elements, electrical characterization is presented for each kind of device, including the extraction of source/drain series resistances and TFT intrinsic parameters, such as (intrinsic mobility) and VTi (intrinsic threshold voltage).  相似文献

Thin films of copper oxide were obtained through thermal oxidation (100-450 °C) of evaporated metallic copper (Cu) films on glass substrates. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies confirmed the cubic Cu phase of the as-deposited films. The films annealed at 100 °C showed mixed Cu-Cu2O phase, whereas those annealed between 200 and 300 °C showed a single cubic Cu2O phase. A single monoclinic CuO phase was obtained from the films annealed between 350 and 450 °C. The positive sign of the Hall coefficient confirmed the p-type conductivity in the films with Cu2O phase. However, a relatively poor crystallinity of these films limited the p-type characteristics. The films with Cu and CuO phases show n-type conductivity. The surface of the as-deposited is smooth (RMS roughness of 1.47 nm) and comprised of uniformly distributed grains (AFM and SEM analysis). The post-annealing is found to be effective on the distribution of grains and their sizes. The poor transmittance of the as-deposited films (<1%) is increased to a maximum of ∼80% (800 nm) on annealing at 200 °C. The direct allowed band gap is varied between 2.03 and 3.02 eV.  相似文献

Recently, it has been claimed that some complex networks are self-similar under a convenient renormalization procedure. We present a general method to study renormalization flows in graphs. We find that the behavior of some variables under renormalization, such as the maximum number of connections of a node, obeys simple scaling laws, characterized by critical exponents. This is true for any class of graphs, from random to scale-free networks, from lattices to hierarchical graphs. Therefore, renormalization flows for graphs are similar as in the renormalization of spin systems. An analysis of classic renormalization for percolation and the Ising model on the lattice confirms this analogy. Critical exponents and scaling functions can be used to classify graphs in universality classes, and to uncover similarities between graphs that are inaccessible to a standard analysis.  相似文献

We prove that there are quantum mechanical observables which are sensitive to the type of state-vector (first type or second type) describing two correlated physical systems, in the sense that the expectation value of these sensitive observables is measurably different in the two cases. The proof centers around Bell's inequality since we show that in quantum mechanics forall state-vectors of the second type (and only for them) sensitive observables exist in the absence of super-selection rules. Experimental verification of the existence of sensitive observables rules out local hidden variables.  相似文献
