Nanocrystalline La0.73Sr0.27MnO3 perovskite oxides with an average particle size of 26 nm were synthesized using the sol-gel method. To make water based magnetic fluid, the obtained nanoparticles were coated by self-organized bilayer surfactant containing oleic acid and sodium dodecyl sulfate as inner and outer layer, respectively. The bare and coated nanoparticles were characterized by x-ray powder diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermogravimetry, and transmission electron microscopy analyses. Calorimetric analysis was used to determine the heat generation efficiency of the prepared magnetic fluid under various alternating magnetic fields. The obtained results revealed that the maximum temperature achieved by the nanoparticles is in the therapeutic temperature range which enables these materials to be used as self-controlled heating agents in magnetic hyperthermia therapy. 相似文献

In situ functionalization of a 4‐aminothiophenol (4ATP) self‐assembled monolayer (SAM) on a Au electrode (4ATP/Au SAM) by the Michael addition reaction is considered. Under optimized conditions, the nucleophilic attack of the amino group of 4ATP/Au SAM to give an electrogenerated ortho‐quinone produced a novel electroactive SAM (ESAM). The ESAM could be oxidized to quinone‐imine SAM (QI SAM) for the covalent immobilization of L ‐arginine monolayers. Cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy are employed to characterize these systems.. The purpose of this paper is to present a numerical algorithm for solving the Lane–Emden equations as singular initial value problems. The proposed algorithm is based on an operational Tau method (OTM). The main idea behind the OTM is to convert the desired problem to some operational matrices. Firstly, we use a special integral operator and convert the Lane–Emden equations to integral equations. Then, we use OTM to linearize the integral equations to some operational matrices and convert the problem to an algebraic system. The concepts, properties, and advantages of OTM and its application for solving Lane–Emden equations are presented. Some orthogonal polynomials are also used to reduce the volume of computations. Finally, several experiments of Lane–Emden equations including linear and nonlinear terms are given to illustrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed algorithm. Range‐free localization algorithms in wireless sensor networks have been an interesting field for researchers over the past few years. The combining of different requirements such as storage space, computational capacities, communication capabilities, and power efficiency is a challenging aspect of developing a localization algorithm. In this paper, a new range‐free localization algorithm, called PCAL, is proposed using soft computing techniques. The proposed method utilizes hop‐count distances as the data to train and build a neural network. Before feeding the data into the neural network for the purpose of training, the dimensionality of data is reduced by principal component analysis algorithm. The performance of the proposed algorithm is evaluated using simulation. The obtained results show that the proposed algorithm has a better performance in contrast to other algorithms based on storage space, communication overhead, and localization accuracy. A new graphite coated electrode for the determination of Pb2+ based on a recently synthesized ionophore 1-hydroxy-2-{2-[2-(2-hydroxy-ethoxy)-ethoxy]-ethoxy methyl}-anthracene-9,10-dione (L) has been developed. The electrode was used in flow injection potentiometry by a home-made flow cell. Under both the batch and flow conditions, the electrode revealed a near Nernstian response over a wide lead ion concentration range (10−6 to 10−1 M) and very low limit of detection. In flow injection potentiometry, excellent reproducibility (RSD%=0.49%), very high sampling rate (170 injections h−1) and stable baseline was observed in the presence of 10−3 M KCl as ionic strength adjuster. The electrode showed high sensitivity and good selectivity for Pb2+ over a wide variety of alkali, alkali earth and transition metal ions and the electrode can be used for at least 3 months without any considerable change in potential response. The proposed sensor was successfully applied to the direct determination of lead in real samples and also used for the titrimetric determination of phosphate ions by both batch and flow injection potentiometry. 相似文献

A method is proposed to estimate the size-dependent yield strength of columnar-grained freestanding thin films. The estimate relies on assuming a distribution of the size of Frank-Read sources, which is then translated into a log-normal distribution of the source strength, depending on film thickness, grain size and theoretical strength of the material, augmented with a single fit parameter. Two-dimensional discrete dislocation plasticity (DDP) simulations are carried out for two sets of Cu films and the fit parameter is determined from independent experiments. Subsequent DDP predictions of the stress-strain curves in comparison with the corresponding experimental data show excellent agreement of initial yield strength and hardening rate for films of varying film thickness and grain size. Having thus demonstrated the power of the proposed strength distribution, it is shown that the mode of this distribution governs the most effective source strength. This is then used to suggest a method to estimate the yield strength of thin films as a function of film thickness and grain size. Simple maps are presented that are in very good agreement with recent experimental results for Cu thin films. 相似文献

There has been substantial recent interest in studying monolayer-protected gold clusters (MPCs) owing to their diverse applications. The present work is an electrochemical study of novel gold nanoparticles covered with a monolayer of mercapto-dodecanol ended chloro-dicyano-quinone (HS-C12O-CDQ), which was adsorbed on the electrode (CDQ-MPCs film). Our findings reveal a redox behavior for CDQ-MPCs film similar to the solution electrochemistry of dichloro-dicyano-quinone. Furthermore, a diffusion-like mechanism was found for electron transfer, which may have occurred due to proton diffusion towards or outwards the electrode through the film casted. Chronoamperometry confirmed diffusion behavior of the ET process. Finally, EIS was used to find the rate constant of ET process for the redox reaction that occurred and the contribution of MPCs in total interfacial capacitance. 相似文献
