In this work some calorimetric measurements were also carried out on the electrorefining silver by using different current densities with a Calvet type microcalorimeter at room temperature. The ratio (R) of the measured heat (
m) to the input electric energy (
in) and the excess heat (
ex), i.e., difference between
m and
in during the electrorefining process, were discussed in terms of general thermodynamics. It was found that the R and
ex for silver were related with the current density or cell voltage employed in the experiment. The results obtained here also indicate that the heat generation under different conditions, such as different currents or voltages may be caused partially by the irreversibility of the process or by some unknown processes.This revised version was published online in November 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.  相似文献

Plasmonic nanoparticles (e.g., gold, silver) have attracted much attention for biological sensing and imaging as promising nanoprobes. Practical biomedical applications demand small gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) with a comparable size to quantum dots and fluorescent proteins. Very small nanoparticles with a size below the Rayleigh limit (usually <30–40 nm) are hard to see by light scattering using a dark-field microscope, especially within a cellular medium. A photothermal microscope is able to detect very small nanoparticles, down to a few nanometers, but the imaging speed is usually too slow (minutes to hours) to image living cell processes. Here an absorption modulated scattering microscopy (AMSM) method is presented, which allows for the imaging of sub-10 nm Au NPs within a cellular medium. The unique physical mechanism of AMSM offers the remarkable ability to remove the light scattering background of the cellular component. In addition to having a sensitivity comparable to that of photothermal microscopy, AMSM has a much higher imaging speed, close to the video rate (20 fps), which allows for the dynamic tracking of small nanoparticles in living cells. This AMSM method might be a valuable tool for living cell imaging, using sub-10 nm Au NPs as biological probes, and thereby unlocking many new applications, such as single molecule labeling and the dynamic tracking of molecular interactions.

Sulfonylation of alkenes through photoredox‐catalyzed functionalization of alkenes with thiourea dioxide under visible‐light irradiation is achieved. The reaction of alkenes, thiourea dioxide and electrophiles provides a green and efficient access to alkyl sulfones and sulfonamides. A broad reaction scope is presented with good functional group compatibility and excellent regioselectivity. A plausible mechanism involving a radical addition process with sulfur dioxide radical anion (SO2) derived from the oxidation of sulfur dioxide anion (SO22–) is proposed, which is supported by fluorescence quenching experiments.  相似文献

[reaction: see text] Diverse organometallic reagents readily add to enantiopure N-sulfinyl beta-amino Weinreb amides providing the corresponding, stable, N-sulfinyl beta-amino carbonyl compounds in good to excellent yields. This new methodology represents a general solution to the problem of beta-amino carbonyl syntheses, which are important chiral building blocks and constituents of natural products. N-Sulfinyl beta-amino Weinreb amides are prepared by reaction of the potassium enolate of N-methoxy N-methylacetamide with sulfinimines (N-sulfinyl imines) or lithium N,O-dimethylhydroxylamine with N-sulfinyl beta-amino esters.  相似文献

运用傅立叶变换红外光谱(FT-IR)对水/琥珀酸(乙基已基)磺酸钠(AOT)/正庚烷微乳体系中磺酸根的水化作用进行了研究.由于微乳体系中水分子与表面活性剂分子的相互作用,S=O对称伸缩振动的红外吸收峰向低频方向移动.体系中的加水量W0(水与AOT的摩尔比)由0.5增大至25时,磺酸根对称伸缩振动的红外吸收峰由1051.39cm-1向低频移动至1046.15cm-1.同时,由于Na 的不对称作用,AOT分子中磺酸根反对称伸缩振动分裂成两个吸收峰,分别位于正215cm-1及1245cm-1附近,两个劈裂峰的距离及各自的峰面积均随体系中加水量的变化而变化,应用二阶导数、傅立叶退卷积及曲线拟会等分辨率增强技术可更清楚地反映出这个二重峰的变化情况.固体AOT分子中碳酸根反对称伸缩振动分裂的两个峰之间频率的差值约为42cm-1,形成微乳液以后,这两个峰的差值变小,W0为20时,这两个峰频率的差值逐渐减小到29cm-1,这些变化与磺酸根的水化程度直接相关  相似文献

The analysis of polyamide-6 oligomers and polymer is usually performed with expensive fluorinated alcohols like 2,2,2-trifluoroethanol (TFE) or 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropanol (HFIP). Formic acid is well known as a mobile phase additive to adjust pH in reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography. However, formic acid is seldom used as a modifier to perform gradient elution chromatography on octadecyl-modified silica-based columns. Here we demonstrate the determination of cyclic and linear polyamide-6 oligomers using formic acid as a modifier on an octadecyl-modified silica-based column. This column was shown to be stable for more than 5000 column volumes, even when a mobile phase of 65-95% formic acid in water at a flow of 1 ml/min is applied. With formic acid under the conditions used (65-95% formic acid in water) the oligomers are retained on the column, while the polymer does not precipitate. In comparison, during adsorption and separation with a HFIP gradient, precipitation of the polymer occurs. The implications of the different separation mechanisms, i.e., adsorption vs. precipitation chromatography are discussed. Loadability is shown to be much better with the formic acid system. However, with formic acid as a modifier UV detection below 250 nm is not feasible. The less sensitive evaporative light scattering detector is used to detect the polyamide oligomers in the formic acid phase. In addition it is shown that capillary zone electrophoresis (CZE) with UV-absorbance detection using HFIP is an attractive combination as HFIP is UV-transparent and CZE allows low modifier consumption.  相似文献

Summary The spectrochemical, electrochemical and electrocatalytic properties of Co[15]aneN4 ([15]aneN4 = 1,4,8,12-tetraazacyclopentadecane) have been investigated. The results show that, in aqueous solution, this compound mainly exists as three species whose axial coordination positions are occupied by water and/or hydroxy ligands; it is marginal whether other substrates such as Cl and NO inf3 sup– interact with the central ion in acid-base solutions. The approximate Pourbaix diagram of CoIII/II[15]ane N4 was determined. There is an electrochemically-induced isomerization between two trans conformational isomers of the Co[15]aneN4 complexes in acid and netural solutions. The Co[15]aneN4 complex has electrocatalytic properties for reduction of nitrate and nitrite only in strong alkaline solution.  相似文献

Based on the theory of stochastic resonance, a new method carried on the quantitive analysis to weak chromatographic signal of glyburide in plasma, which was embedded in the noise background and the signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of HPLC-UV is enhanced remarkably. This method enhances the quantification limit to 1 ng ml−1, which is the same as HPLC-MS, and makes it possible to detect the weak signal accurately by HPLC-UV, which was not suitable before. The results showed good recovery and linear range from 1 to 50 ng ml−1 of glyburide in plasma and the method can be used for quantitative analysis of glyburide.  相似文献

<正> 目前许多学者已采用计算机X衍射分峰法对具有较复杂结构的结晶聚合物进行研究.这个方法的核心是数学模型,即反映晶态与非晶态的X衍射峰峰形规律的表征函数.它对研究结果的可靠性、精确度有直接的影响.Hindeleh与Johnson等人提出的三次多项式及其它形式,不能使样品的计算的衍射曲线与实验的衍射曲线相拟合,误差大.说明表征非晶态X衍射的数学模型还存在问题,分峰法还不完善.因此,我们认为有必要对非晶态表征函数进行探讨.本文提出了两个非晶态表征函数,并应用于聚丙烯结构分析,  相似文献
