This article introduces and solves a new rich routing problem integrated with practical operational constraints. The problem examined calls for the determination of the optimal routes for a vehicle fleet to satisfy a mix of two different request types. Firstly, vehicles must transport three-dimensional, rectangular and stackable boxes from a depot to a set of predetermined customers. In addition, vehicles must also transfer products between pairs of pick-up and delivery locations. Service of both request types is subject to hard time window constraints. In addition, feasible palletization patterns must be identified for the transported products. A practical application of the problem arises in the transportation systems of chain stores, where vehicles replenish the retail points by delivering products stored at a central depot, while they are also responsible for transferring stock between pairs of the retailer network. To solve this very complex combinatorial optimization problem, our major objective was to develop an efficient methodology whose required computational effort is kept within reasonable limits. To this end, we propose a local search-based framework for optimizing vehicle routes, in which feasible loading arrangements are identified via a simple-structured packing heuristic. The algorithmic framework is enhanced with various memory components which store and retrieve useful information gathered through the search process, in order to avoid any duplicate unnecessary calculations. The proposed solution approach is assessed on newly introduced benchmark instances.  相似文献

A full-vector finite-element beam propagation method in 3-D is introduced for the simulation of light propagation in liquid crystal (LC) devices. The three electric field components are expressed in terms of mixed finite elements, providing the correct enforcement of boundary conditions. Moreover, the optical dielectric tensor of the medium can have all its nine elements nonzero, thus allowing the LC director to have an arbitrary orientation. A photonic crystal fiber with a LC infiltrated core and a homeotropic to multi-domain cell are analyzed. Comparison with other existing simulation techniques is provided, in order to validate the accuracy of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the cyclic homology of affine algebras over a field of characteristic 0. We show that ifA is such an algebra the inverse system (HC *+2m (A),S) m decomposes in sufficiently large degrees into the direct sum of the constant system with value lZ H inf *+21 (A) and a system which is essentially zero. The Oxitester method, a novel, simple, and fast photometric method for the evaluation of the antioxidant capacity of olive oils, was validated and compared to the official oil stability index (Rancimat) method. The Oxitester method appeared to be a good alternative to the Rancimat method with adequate correlation for a wide range of virgin olive oil samples, including extrissima virgin olive oils (correlation coefficient 0.88), and extra virgin olive oils of increased acidity (free fatty acids >0.45%, correlation coefficient 0.89). Other quality factors (flavor, free fatty acids content, specific absorbance at 270 and 232 nm, peroxide value, and content of oleic, linoleic, and linolenic acids) were also measured and correlated to the antioxidant capacity values of the Oxitester and Rancimat methods. The Oxitester method, in contrast to the Rancimat method, was indicative of the flavor characteristics of the olive oils and the content of linolenic acid.  相似文献

Optical absorption spectroscopy has been used to study Cretan Greek wine matured for 3 months in various barrels. Vilana and Dafni white and Kotsifali and Mandilari red wines were analyzed. The total phenolic index for all varieties and color characteristics for only the red wine were determined. Principal component analysis (PCA) and hierarchical cluster analysis (HCA) demonstrated that the absorption spectra, combined with multivariate statistical methods, may be used to identify these varieties. The results of principal component analysis were used to infer the chemical compounds responsible for the discrimination between varieties.  相似文献

Cisplatin derivatives can form various types of DNA lesions (DNA-Pt) and trigger pleiotropic DNA damage responses. Here, we report a strategy to visualize DNA-Pt with high resolution, taking advantage of a novel azide-containing derivative of cisplatin we named APPA, a cellular pre-extraction protocol and the labeling of DNA-Pt by means of click chemistry in cells. Our investigation revealed that pretreating cells with the histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitor SAHA led to detectable clusters of DNA-Pt that colocalized with the ubiquitin ligase RAD18 and the replication protein PCNA. Consistent with activation of translesion synthesis (TLS) under these conditions, SAHA and cisplatin cotreatment promoted focal accumulation of the low-fidelity polymerase Polη that also colocalized with PCNA. Remarkably, these cotreatments synergistically triggered mono-ubiquitination of PCNA and apoptosis in a RAD18-dependent manner. Our data provide evidence for a role of chromatin in regulating genome targeting with cisplatin derivatives and associated cellular responses.  相似文献

Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) is a key component of the Mediterranean diet, with several health benefits derived from its consumption. Moreover, due to its eminent market position, EVOO has been thoroughly studied over the last several years, aiming at its authentication, but also to reveal the chemical profile inherent to its beneficial properties. In the present work, a comparative study was conducted to assess Greek EVOOs’ quality and authentication utilizing different analytical approaches, both targeted and untargeted. 173 monovarietal EVOOs from three emblematic Greek cultivars (Koroneiki, Kolovi and Adramytiani), obtained during the harvesting years of 2018–2020, were analyzed and quantified as per their fatty acids methyl esters (FAMEs) composition via the official method (EEC) No 2568/91, as well as their bioactive content through liquid chromatography coupled to high resolution mass spectrometry (LC-HRMS) methodology. In addition to FAMEs analysis, EVOO samples were also analyzed via HRMS-untargeted metabolomics and optical spectroscopy techniques (visible absorption, fluorescence and Raman). The data retrieved from all applied techniques were analyzed with Machine Learning methods for the authentication of the EVOOs’ variety. The models’ predictive performance was calculated through test samples, while for further evaluation 30 commercially available EVOO samples were also examined in terms of variety. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first study where different techniques from the fields of standard analysis, spectrometry and optical spectroscopy are applied to the same EVOO samples, providing strong insight into EVOOs chemical profile and a comparative evaluation through the different platforms.  相似文献
