The impact of the solvent environment on the stabilization of the complexes formed by fluorine (T-F) and cyanide (T-CN) substituted tweezers with halide anions has been investigated theoretically. The study was carried out using computational methodologies based on density functional theory (DFT) and symmetry adapted perturbation theory (SAPT). Interaction energies were obtained at the M05-2X/6-31+G* level. The obtained results show a large stability of the complexes in solvents with large dielectric constant and prove the suitability of these molecular tweezers as potential hosts for anion recognition in solution. A detailed analysis of the effects of the solvent on the electron withdrawing ability of the substituents and its influence on the complex stability has been performed. In particular, the interaction energy in solution was split up into intermonomer and solvent-complex terms. In turn, the intermonomer interaction energy was partitioned into electrostatic, exchange, and polarization terms. Polar resonance structures in T-CN complexes are favored by polar solvents, giving rise to a stabilization of the intermonomer interaction, the opposite is found for T-F complexes. The solvent-complex energy increases with the polarity of the solvent in T-CN complexes, nonetheless the energy reaches a maximum and then decreases slowly in T-F complexes. An electron density analysis was also performed before and after complexation, providing an explanation to the trends followed by the interaction energies and their different components in solution.  相似文献

Quantum mechanical calculations of the ground and excited electronic states of several [Ag(n)-pyridine](q) complexes yield a linear dependence of the energies of the surface states, especially the metal-to-molecule charge transfer states, on q(eff) = q/n. The surface-enhanced raman scattering (SERS) of benzoic acid/benzamide and salicylic acid/salicylamide on silver colloids show important wavenumber shifts with respect to the Raman spectrum of the band assigned to mode 1;ν(ring) when adsorbed on the metal surface (ca. +50 cm(-1)). In the case of the acids, this shift is originated by the deprotonation of the carboxylic group in agreement with the well-known fact that aromatic acids are adsorbed on silver as carboxylates. However, the main conclusion of this work is that a similar behavior is found for the respective amides that do not behave as acids in water solution. The here studied aromatic amides are adsorbed as azanions on silver nanoparticles even at pH 7 and link to the metal through the nitrogen and oxygen atoms of the ionized carboxamide group. This is a very surprising result given that amides are not significantly ionized even at pH 13-14. The deprotonation of these amides is not determined exclusively by the pH, but it is mainly caused by the strong affinity of the anionic species to the metal. Therefore, the SERS must be cautiously used as a universal pH sensor if the adsorption occurs through the ionizable group. In order to support this conclusion, theoretical DFT force field calculations have been carried out, confirming that deprotonated benzamide and salicylamide interact with the metallic surface.  相似文献

A strategy for the synthesis of the novel (6bR,7R,8S,9S,10S,10aR)-8-(benzyloxy)-7,9,10-trihydroxy-6b,7,8,9,10,10a-hexahydro-11H-benzo[a]carbazole-5,6-dione is reported. The key steps were the Michael addition of 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone to 1-nitrocyclohexene or 3-O-benzyl-5,6-dideoxy-1,2-O-isopropylidene-6-nitro-α-d-xylo-hex-5-enefuranose and the diastereoselective intramolecular Henry reaction of 3-O-benzyl-5,6-dideoxy-5-C-(3′-hydroxy-1′,4′-naphthoquinon-2′-yl)-1,2-O-isopropylidene-6-nitro-α-d-glucofuranose to give the key (1S,2S,3S,4R,5R,6R)-3-(benzyloxy)-1,2,4-trihydroxy-5-(3′-hydroxy-1′,4′-naphthoquinon-2′-yl)-6-nitrocyclohexane. When 2-hydroxy-1,4-naphthoquinone was replaced by (1,4-dimethoxynaphthalen-2-yl)lithium, the novel (1R,2S,3S,4R,4aS,11bS)-2-(benzyloxy)-1,3,4-trihydroxy-1,2,3,4,4a,5-hexahydro-11bH-benzo[b]carbazole-6,11-dione was obtained.  相似文献

High hydrostatic pressure (HHP) has become in the last few years a promising technology for food processing and preservation. Pressure treatment of foods always results in a temperature increase due to the work of compression. After compression, heat loss through the metal wall of the high-pressure vessel causes temperature gradients in the processed product. So, it is absolutely necessary to know how thermal exchanges in high-pressure treatments are produced and at what rate in order to establish the real conditions at which a given process is realised. In this paper, a modelling/simulation of the thermal exchanges taking place in a high-pressure pilot unit during different processes of pressurisation and depressurisation is presented. Good agreement between simulated and experimental values is found. This work involves an important advance in optimisation and regulation of high-pressure processes in food industry.  相似文献

The chemical changes associated to the autooxidation process of linoleic acid (LA) were detected by Raman spectroscopy and interpreted in the light of density functional theory (DFT) calculations performed for both the fatty acid and its main oxidation products. The present methodology, applied for a six‐day period upon induction of oxidation (through heating), allowed to understand the chemical modifications occurring during the oxidation process. Raman spectroscopy was shown to be a suitable and reliable technique for assessing the oxidation degree of fatty acid samples, particularly pure fatty acids, mainly when computational methods are used alongside to predict the spectral features of the distinct chemical entities involved. Screening of the oxidation process was mostly based on the loss of intensity of the bands assigned to LA cis‐double bonds. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper calculates response surface models for a large range of quantiles of the Leybourne (Oxf Bull Econ Stat 57:559–571, 1995) test for the null hypothesis of a unit root against the alternative of (trend) stationarity. The response surface models allow the estimation of critical values for different combinations of number of observations, T, and lag order in the test regressions, p, where the latter can be either specified by the user or optimally selected using a data-dependent procedure. The results indicate that the critical values depend on the method used to select the number of lags. An Excel spreadsheet is available to calculate the p-value associated with a test statistic.  相似文献

We have studied large areas of (√3×√3)R30° graphene commensurate with a Pt(111) substrate. A combination of experimental techniques with ab initio density functional theory indicates that this structure is related to a reconstruction at the Pt surface, consisting of an ordered vacancy network formed in the outermost Pt layer and a graphene layer covalently bound to the Pt substrate. The formation of this reconstruction is enhanced if low temperatures and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are used as molecular precursors for epitaxial growth of the graphene layers.  相似文献
