Three new coordinative compounds that contain mixed ligands (5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole and acrylato anion) were synthesized and characterized. The features of complexes have been assigned from microanalytical, IR, UV–Vis and EPR spectra as well as thermal analysis. IR data are in accordance with unidentate nature of 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole while the acrilato ion acts as uni- or bidentate ligand. The electronic spectra display the characteristic pattern of square pyramidal or octahedral stereochemistry, which were confirmed by the EPR spectra. Antibacterial and antifungal activities of the complexes have been determined in vitro, against various Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and fungi. The tested complexes exhibited different spectra of antimicrobial activity and inhibited the microbial ability to colonize the inert surfaces, acting as potential anti-adherence and biofilm-controlling agents. Thermal decomposition evidenced several well-defined steps as dehydration (complex 2), 5,6-dimethylbenzimidazole molecule release (all complexes) and the acrylate decomposition in carbonate (complex 3). The final residue is in all cases copper (II) oxide.  相似文献

New S-thiocarbamates possessing a 10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[a,d]cycloheptene moiety were obtained unexpectedly in the process of preparing new O-thiocarbamates starting from 5-dibenzosuberol (10,11-dihydro-5H-dibenzo[a,d]cyclohepten-5-ol) and aroyl-isothiocyanates. These compounds were obtained via a benzylic Newman–Kwart rearrangement mechanism. The structures of the new thiocarbamates were confirmed by elemental analysis, IR, and NMR spectroscopy and by X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

Colorectal cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed forms of cancer, and the therapeutic solutions are frequently aggressive requiring improvements. Essential oils (EOs) are secondary metabolites of aromatic plants with important pharmacological properties that proved to be beneficial in multiple pathologies including cancer. Mentha piperita L. (M_EO) and Rosmarinus officinalis L. (R_EO) essential oils are well-known for their biological effects (antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and cytotoxic in different cancer cells), but their potential as complementary treatment in colorectal cancer is underexplored. The aim of the present study was to investigate the M_EO and R_EO in terms of chemical composition, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and cytotoxic effects in a colorectal cancer cell line—HCT 116. The gas-chromatographic analysis revealed menthone and menthol, and eucalyptol, α-pinene and L-camphor as major compounds in M_EO and R_EO respectively. M_EO exhibited potent antimicrobial activity, moderate antioxidant activity and a low cytotoxic effect in HCT 116 cells. R_EO presented a significant cytotoxicity in colorectal cancer cells and a low antimicrobial effect. The cytotoxic effect on non-cancerous cell line HaCaT was not significant for both essential oils. These results may provide an experimental basis for further research concerning the potential use of M_EO and R_EO for anticancer treatment.  相似文献

The carbodiimide-mediated reaction of N-hydroxysuccinimide with carboxyl groups immobilized to hydroxyl-containing polymers (such as Sepharose or Trisacryl) leads to N-hydroxysuccinimide ester and N-hydroxysuccinimide derivatives of β-alanine which react subsequently with the hydroxyl group of the polymer via ester and carbamate bonds. These derivatives are formed upon interaction of dicyclohexyl carbodiimide with three equivalents of N-hydroxysuccinimide followed by a Lossen rearrangement. The amount of β-alanine thus coupled is very high compared to the number of carboxyl groups present on the resin. The β-alanine bound through the ester bond comprises about 90% of the β-alanine bound. Alkaline treatment of the ester bonded β-alanine containing polymers (prior to coupling of amino-containing ligands) causes a rearrangement yielding β-alanine with a free carboxyl group coupled through a stable carbamate linkage. After coupling of amino-containing ligands, the above-described rearrangement cannot occur, and the β-alanine-linked ligand leaks from the polymer via hydrolysis of the ester bond. The newly formed carboxyl groups (derived from the rearrangement) can be used to prepare active esters (e.g. nitrophenyl). Upon coupling with amino-containing ligands, these esters yield resins bearing chemically stable bonds.  相似文献

The problem of minimizing a polynomial function in several variables over R n is considered and an algorithm is given. When the polynomial has a minimum the algorithm returns the global minimal value and finds at least one point in every connected component of the set of minimizers. A characterization of such points is given. When the polynomial does not have a minimum the algorithm computes its infimum. No assumption is made on the polynomial.  相似文献

In the present study, dynamic differential scanning calorimetry has been used to investigate the effect of an alkali lignin in amounts up to 20% by weight, on the crosslinking kinetics of an epoxy prepolymer cured with an aliphatic polyamine. Lignin presence does not significantly affect the overall reaction order, but the activation energy increases and the slowing of the overall curing process with lignin content could be explained by the interaction between lignin and the polyamine hardener. The possibility of having a “false compensation” in the case of the use of single DSC scans is also discussed.  相似文献

The densities, heat capacities, and dilution enthalpies ofn-pentanol+2-methyl-2-butanol mixtures have been measured, in many cases as a function of temperature, over the complete mole fraction range. Excesses thermodynamic properties, apparent and partial molar heat capacities, volumes and expansibilities were derived. The concentration and temperature dependences of these functions are discussed in terms of the variations of the structure of the system caused by the participation of the two alcohol molecules (with quite different steric hindrance of the alkyl chain around the-OH group) in the dynamic intermolecular association process through hydrogen bonding.  相似文献
