Strong Convergence to Solutions for a Class of Variational Inequalities in Banach Spaces by Implicit Iteration Methods

In this paper, in order to solve a variational inequality problem over the set of common fixed points of an infinite family of nonexpansive mappings on a real reflexive and strictly convex Banach space with a uniformly Gâteaux differentiable norm, we introduce two new implicit iteration methods. Their strong convergence is proved, by using new V-mappings instead of W-ones.     

Reachable Set Bounding for Linear Discrete-Time Systems with Delays and Bounded Disturbances

This paper addresses the problem of reachable set bounding for linear discrete-time systems that are subject to state delay and bounded disturbances. Based on the Lyapunov method, a sufficient condition for the existence of ellipsoid-based bounds of reachable sets of a linear uncertain discrete system is derived in terms of matrix inequalities. Here, a new idea is to minimize the projection distances of the ellipsoids on each axis with different exponential convergence rates, instead of minimization of their radius with a single exponential rate. A smaller bound can thus be obtained from the intersection of these ellipsoids. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.     

Implicit multifunction theorems in complete metric spaces

In this paper, we establish some new characterizations of metric regularity of implicit multifunctions in complete metric spaces by using lower semicontinuous envelopes of the distance functions to set-valued mappings. Through these new characterizations it is possible to investigate implicit multifunction theorems based on coderivatives and on contingent derivatives as well as the perturbation stability of implicit multifunctions.     

Smooth metric measure spaces with weighted Poincaré inequality

In this paper, we study smooth metric measure space (M, g, e ^?f dv) satisfying a weighted Poincaré inequality and establish a rigidity theorem for such a space under a suitable Bakry–Émery curvature lower bound. We also consider the space of f-harmonic functions with finite energy and prove a structure theorem.     

Weak Cayley Table Groups II: Alternating Groups and Finite Coxeter Groups

A weak Cayley table isomorphism is a bijection φ: G → H of groups such that φ(xy) ～ φ(x)φ(y) for all x, y ∈ G. Here ～denotes conjugacy. When G = H the set of all weak Cayley table isomorphisms φ: G → G forms a group 𝒲(G) that contains the automorphism group Aut(G) and the inverse map I: G → G, x → x ^?1. Let 𝒲₀(G) = ?Aut(G), I? ≤ 𝒲(G) and say that G has trivial weak Cayley table group if 𝒲(G) = 𝒲₀(G). We show that all finite irreducible Coxeter groups (except possibly E ₈) have trivial weak Cayley table group, as well as most alternating groups. We also consider some sporadic simple groups.     

On σ(·, W)-Holomorphic Functions and Theorems of Vitali-Type

The aim of this paper is to give some criterions for holomorphy of F-valued σ(F, W)-holomorphic functions which are bounded on bounded sets in a domain D of Fréchet spaces E (resp. ${\mathbb{C}^n}$ ) where ${W \subset F'}$ defines the topology of Fréchet space F. Base on these results we consider the problem on holomorphic extension of F-valued σ(F, W)-holomorphic functions from non-rare subsets of D and from subsets of D which determines uniform convergence in H(D). As an application of the above, some theorems of Vitali-type for a locally bounded sequence ${\{f_i\}_{i \in \mathbb{N}}}$ of Fréchet-valued holomorphic functions are also proved.     

New Results on Henig Proper Generalized Vector Quasiequilibrium Problems

New sufficient conditions are given for the existence of solutions of a Henig proper generalized vector quasiequilibrium problem with moving cones. They are established by a new scalarizing approach, which is based on a suitable nonlinear scalarization function, proposed recently for set-valued maps in Sach and Tuan (J. Optim. Theory Appl. 157:347–364 (2013)). Examples are given to illustrate our main results.     

On Efficiency Conditions for Nonsmooth Vector Equilibrium Problems with Equilibrium Constraints

In this article, necessary conditions of Fritz John type for weak efficient solutions of a nonsmooth vector equilibrium problem involving equilibrium constraints (VEPEC) in terms of the Clarke subdifferentials are established. Under constraint qualifications which are suitable for (VEPEC), necessary conditions of Kuhn-Tucker type for efficiency are derived. Under assumptions on generalized convexity of data, sufficient conditions for efficiency are developed. Some applications to vector variational inequalities and vector optimization problems with equilibrium constraints are also given.
