Directing-Group-Free C7-Alkylations of N-Alkylindoles Mediated by Cationic Zirconium Complexes: Role of Brønsted Acid for Catalytic Manifold

Highly position selective alkylations of N-alkylindoles at C7-positions have been enabled by cationic zirconium complexes. The strategy provides a straightforward access to install alkyl groups at C7-positions of indoles without a complex directing group. Mechanistic studies provided support for the importance of Brønsted acids in the catalytic manifold.     

A refined algorithm for multisensor image registration based on pixel migration.

Multimodality image registration via pixel migration is a powerful approach. However, it suffers from a serious problem--the global maximum on the sum of squared gradient magnitude (SSG) surface does not correspond to the correct solution of registration. To solve the problem, we partition the search space into feasible and infeasible regions. The genetic algorithm (global optimizer) is used to obtain a good initial estimate of registration parameters and followed by a fast refining with Powell's approach (local optimizer). The experimental results demonstrate that the use of this modified pixel migration algorithm on multisensor image registration is very effective.     

Reduced-rate retransmissions for spread-spectrum packet radio multimedia networks

A reduced-rate retransmission (RRR) scheme is proposed for improving the throughput performance of spread-spectrum packet radio networks. The scheme takes advantages of the available multi-rate scalable source coding techniques. It assumes that several versions of a data packet with different sizes (number of information bits) are available. The transmission of a packet starts from its full-size version. If the full-size version is not correctly received, its half-size version is used in the retransmission. If further retransmissions are needed, the quarter-size version and so on are used. The shrunk packets are transmitted either in a minislot if the processing gain is kept the same, or occupying a slot duration by increasing the processing gain proportionally. In both cases, the effective signal to interference ratio for a packet is increased. As a result, the system throughput is improved. Theoretical and numerical results are provided in this paper which illustrate the throughput improvement. Another advantage of the proposed RRR scheme is that the packet-size reduction provides finer granules for link adaptation. Therefore, it is especially suitable for multimedia applications for which codes of variable rate for the source data are available and which can tolerate gracefully degraded quality of service. The performance of the proposed scheme in fading channels is also addressed.

具有控制项的限定记忆卡尔曼滤波器

在已有的限定记忆卡尔曼滤波器的基础上 ,将确定性先验信息作为控制项加以应用 ,推导出了完整的限定记忆卡尔曼滤波公式 ,从而在记忆长度确定的情况下 ,有效地减小了模型不准的误差 ,降低了滤波总误差。仿真同样表明了该方法的有效性     

Hf-doped and NH/sub 3/-nitrided high-K gate dielectric thin film with least drain current degradation and flatband voltage shift

A novel technique to form high-K dielectric of HfSiON by doping base oxide with Hf and nitridation with NH/sub 3/, sequentially, is proposed. The HfSiON gate dielectric demonstrates excellent device performances such as only 10% degradation of saturation drain current and almost 45 times of magnitude reduction in gate leakage compared with conventional SiO/sub 2/ gate at the approximately same equivalent oxide thickness. Additionally, negligible flatband voltage shift is achieved with this technique. Time-dependent dielectric breakdown tests indicate that the lifetime of HfSiON is longer than 10 years at V/sub dd/=2 V.     

线性调频的脉冲压缩雷达视频信号仿真

利用数字方法实现线性调频的脉冲压缩雷达视频目标模拟信号具有诸多优点：信号模拟的精度高，灵活性好，幅度、相位补偿方便，可以模拟复杂情况，系统结构简单，可靠性高，可扩展性强。详细介绍了基于FPGA设计线性调频的脉冲压缩雷达视频目标模拟信号的原理、结构、具体实现以及简要的性能分析。结果表明该方案性能良好，具有现实可实现性。     

热作模具钢表面激光堆焊耐磨合金层的研究

本文主要通过在H13钢上用大功率CO_2激光束进行堆焊,阐述了激光堆焊工艺变化对堆焊组织和性能的影响,在本试验条件下,得到了高密度弥散金属化合物组织的激光堆焊层,平均硬度为HV800,与基体呈冶金结合,耐磨性比H13模具钢提高149%。     

Convex functions, subdifferentiability and renormings

This paper through discussing subdifferentiability and convexity of convex functions shows that a Banach space admits an equivalent uniformly [locally uniformly, strictly] convex norm if and only if there exists a continuous uniformly [locally uniformly, strictly] convex function on some nonempty open convex subset of the space and presents some characterizations of super-reflexive Banach spaces.
