Three-step iterations for nonlinear accretive operator equations

In this paper, we suggest and analyze a three-step iterative scheme for solving nonlinear strongly accretive operator equation Tx=f without continuous condition in a uniformly smooth Banach space. Our results include the Ishikawa, Mann and Noor iterations as special cases. The results presented in this paper improve and extend almost all the current results in the more general setting.     

Inclusion isotonicity of circular complex centered forms

This paper presents a proof for the fact that the circular complex centered form is inclusion isotone for arbitrary analytic functions.     

On the Volume of Unit Tangent Spheres in a Pinsler Manifold

Motivated by some issues which enter into the Gauss-Bonnet-Chern theorem in Finsler geometry, this paper studies the unit tangent sphere (or indicatrix) I_x M at each point x of a Pinsler manifold M. We demonstrate that the volume of I_mM, calculated with respect to a Riemannian metric induced naturally by the Finsler structure, is in general a function of x. This contrasts sharply with the situation in Riemannian geometry. We also express the derivative of such volume function in terms of the second curvature tensor of the Chern connection. In particular, we find that this function is constant on Landsberg spaces (though that constant need not be equal to the value taken by Riemannian manifolds).     

A Nonlinear Diffusion Equation-Based Model for Ultrasound Speckle Noise Removal

Ultrasound images are contaminated by speckle noise, which brings difficulties in further image analysis and clinical diagnosis. In this paper, we address this problem in the view of nonlinear diffusion equation theories. We develop a nonlinear diffusion equation-based model by taking into account not only the gradient information of the image, but also the information of the gray levels of the image. By utilizing the region indicator as the variable exponent, we can adaptively control the diffusion type which alternates between the Perona–Malik diffusion and the Charbonnier diffusion according to the image gray levels. Furthermore, we analyze the proposed model with respect to the theoretical and numerical properties. Experiments show that the proposed method achieves much better speckle suppression and edge preservation when compared with the traditional despeckling methods, especially in the low gray level and low-contrast regions.     

固定效应部分线性可加面板数据模型的惩罚二次推断估计

具有较强解释力和灵活性的部分线性可加面板数据模型在各学科领域应用广泛.针对个体内存在相关结构的固定效应部分线性可加面板数据模型,本文在结合幂样条函数和最小二乘虚拟变量(LSDV)法的基础上,利用惩罚二次推断函数(PQIF)法对模型进行估计,在一定的正则条件下,证明了参数估计的渐近正态性和非参数估计的收敛性,Monte Carlo数值模拟显示所述估计方法具有良好的有限样本表现,同时,我们还将估计技术应用于实际数据分析中.     

Bounds for the blowup time of the solutions to quasi-linear parabolic problems

In this paper, we obtain the lower and the upper bounds of the blowup time of the solutions to quasi-linear parabolic problems subject to Dirichlet(or Neumann) boundary condition. Our results are suitable for the problems with any smooth bounded domain ${\Omega \subset \mathbb{R}^n}$ and ${n \geq 3}$ . In some special cases, we can even get the exact values of blowup time.
