Operating fluids play an important role in heat transfer equipment. Water is inexpensive popular operating fluid with extensive applications, but its thermophysical properties are not good enough, especially for high temperature processes. Therefore, modification of its inherent characteristics by adding nano-sized solid particles found high popularities. Thermal conductivity is one of the most important thermophysical properties of an operating fluid in relatively all energy-based processes. Variation of thermal conductivity of nanofluids with different operating conditions is required to be understood in such processes. Therefore, the focus of this study is concentrated on modeling of thermal conductivity of water-alumina nanofluids using four different smart paradigms. Multilayer perceptron, radial basis function, cascade feedforward, and generalized regression neural networks are employed for the considered task. The best structure of these paradigms is determined, and then, their accuracies are compared using different statistical indices. Accuracy analyses confirmed that the generalized regression neural network outperforms other considered smart methodologies. It predicted more than 280 experimental datasets with excellent absolute average relative deviation?=?0.71%, mean square error?=?0.0006, root mean square error?=?0.023 and regression coefficient (R2)?=?0.9675. In the final stage, the proposed paradigm is used for investigation of the effect of influential parameters on the thermal conductivity of water-alumina nanofluids. This type of accurate and straightforward paradigm can broaden our insight about thermal behavior of homogeneous suspension of nano-size alumina particles in water.

Tyrosinase is used to eliminate phenolic compounds from wastewater. Therefore, its immobilization is important to enhance catalytic efficiency. Papery materials are of particular interest for use as support for enzyme immobilization since the porous microstructure of fiber networks in papers can provide a suitable reaction environment, especially in flow-type catalytic reactions. However, immobilization of protein onto papery structure needs chemical modifications in severe conditions. To overcome this challenge, a cellulosic paper was directly amine-functionalized in moderate conditions and used for tyrosinase immobilization. The support was pretreated with HCl (0.5 N) solution and then sequentially immersed in ethylenediamine (EDA), glutaraldehyde solution (2% v/v) and the crude enzyme. In comparison with the untreated one, the immobilized enzyme on the EDA-treated support offered a 3.7-fold increase in activity. The FTIR spectra as well as EDX analysis proved the presence of amine groups in the cellulosic paper and also covalent immobilization of tyrosinase on the modified support. When considering the effect of pH on the activity at 25 °C, a maximum relative activity of 134% at pH 6 was revealed. Similarly, evaluating the effect of temperature on the activity at pH 7 displayed a maximum relative activity of 152% at 35 °C. The immobilized enzyme was suitable for use for more than four cycles to degrade a phenolic compound at severe pH and temperature conditions. Additionally, the immobilized enzyme was active after treatment of the surface at different pHs and temperatures for 105 min. The chemically modified cellulosic paper can be used as a support for enzyme immobilization.  相似文献

Pd nanoparticles with an average diameter of 5 nm were decorated on the surface of ionic liquid derived fibrillated mesoporous carbon (IFMC) to prepare a novel nano‐hybrid material (Pd@IFMC). Thereafter, glucose oxidase was immobilized on Pd@IFMC modified glassy carbon electrode to fabricate an enzymatic glucose biosensor. A pair of well‐defined redox peaks was recorded for direct electron transfer of the immobilized glucose oxidase at the formal potential of ? 0.418 V with a peak to peak separation of 25 mV. Electron transfer rate constant of was calculated to be 14.6 s?1. The response of fabricated biosensor was linear towards glucose concentration.  相似文献

75 years after the discovery of hydroformylation, cobalt catalysts are now undergoing a renaissance in hydrogenation reactions. We have evaluated arene metalates in which the low‐valent metal species is—conceptually different from heteroatom‐based ligands—stabilized by π coordination to hydrocarbons. Potassium bis(anthracene)cobaltate 1 and ‐ferrate 2 can be viewed as synthetic precursors of quasi‐“naked” anionic metal species; their aggregation is effectively impeded by (labile) coordination to the various π acceptors present in the hydrogenation reactions of unsaturated molecules (alkenes, arenes, carbonyl compounds). Kinetic studies, NMR spectroscopy, and poisoning studies of alkene hydrogenations support the formation of a homogeneous catalyst derived from 1 which is stabilized by the coordination of alkenes. This catalyst concept complements the use of complexes with heteroatom donor ligands for reductive processes.  相似文献

This article aims to provide a new formulation for the analysis of the extrusion process for non-axisymmetric sections. The upper bound theorem has been used to obtain a generalized kinematically admissible velocity field. The geometry of the deforming region has been formulated considering variation of the dead zone size at different angular positions and three-dimensional curved surfaces have been employed to define the entry and exit surfaces of the deformation zone. Using this analytical method, extrusion of square, rectangular and L-shaped sections were analyzed and the effect of shape complexity on material flow and dead material zone (DMZ) formation under different conditions has been investigated. Physical modelling experiments and finite element analysis were carried out to reveal the capability of the proposed theoretical method.  相似文献

A ring is of finite type if it has only finitely many maximal right ideals, all two-sided. In this article, we give a complete set of invariants for finite direct sums of cyclically presented modules over a ring R of finite type. More generally, our results apply to finite direct sums of direct summands of cyclically presented right R-modules (DCP modules). Using a duality, we obtain as an application a similar set of invariants for kernels of morphisms between finite direct sums of pair-wise non-isomorphic indecomposable injective modules over an arbitrary ring.
