A series of carbosilane dendrimers with perfluorinated end groups has been prepared. The structure of these molecules in dilute solution is studied using small angle neutron scattering. For generations g<3 we find a non-spherical shape of the particles and a tendency for aggregation. This result is supported by the analysis of the diffusion coefficient obtained from photon correlation spectroscopy. The overall shape of the molecules is that of a core-shell particle. The generation 4 molecule is obtained as a compact sphere. Neutron spin echo spectroscopy reveals a relaxation time which is attributed to the form fluctuations of this particle.  相似文献

It is nowadays well-known that ionic liquids can dissolve cellulose. However, little systematic data has been published that shed light onto the influence of the ionic liquid structure on the dissolution of cellulose. We have conducted 1H NMR spectroscopy of ethanol in a large number of ionic liquids, and found an excellent correlation of the data obtained with the hydrogen acceptor properties (β-values). With this tool in hand, it is possible to distinguish between cellulose-dissolving and non-dissolving ionic liquids. A modulating effect of both, the anion of the non-dissolving ionic liquid and its cation was found in solubility studies with binary ionic liquid mixtures. The study was extended to other non-dissolving liquids, namely water and dimethylsulfoxide, and the effect of the cation was also investigated.  相似文献

A series of enantiomerically pure 8-oxabicyclo[3.2.1]oct-6-en-3-ones functionalized in the unsaturated two-carbon bridge has been prepared by the title reaction. Carbocation reactivity has been fined-tuned at -95 degrees C and adjusted to diene nucleophilicity. Conventional electrophilic substitution of 3-silylated and 3-stannylated furan is suppressed in favor of the rapid 4 + 3 cycloaddition mode. In the case of cycloadduct 13A, stereoselectivity (17:1) is perfectly matched to regioselectivity (17:1). High stereoselection as well as unprecedented regioselection and chemoselection is attributed to the low-temperature cycloaddition protocol and the design of chiral auxiliary and tether.  相似文献

A fast and robust high-throughput ultra-performance liquid chromatography/time-of-flight mass spectrometry (UPLC–TOF MS) profiling method was developed and successfully applied to discriminate a total of 78 Bacillus cereus strains into no/low, medium and high producers of the emetic toxin cereulide. The data obtained by UPLC–TOF MS profiling were confirmed by absolute quantitation of cereulide in selected samples by means of high-performance liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC–MS/MS) and stable isotope dilution assay (SIDA). Interestingly, the B. cereus strains isolated from four vomit samples and five faeces samples from patients showing symptoms of intoxication were among the group of medium or high producers. Comparison of HEp-2 bioassay data with those determined by means of mass spectrometry showed differences, most likely because the HEp-2 bioassay is based on the toxic action of cereulide towards mitochondria of eukaryotic cells rather than on a direct measurement of the toxin. In conclusion, the UPLC–electrospray ionization (ESI)–TOF MS and the HPLC–ESI–MS/MS–SIDA analyses seem to be promising tools for the robust high-throughput analysis of cereulide in B. cereus cultures, foods and other biological samples.

Intact human Senses incubated at 5.5 mM (normal) and 35.5 mM glucose were examined by phosphorus-31 nuclear magnetic resonance (31P NMR) spectroscopy. Lense in 35.5 mM glucose showed an altered metabolic steady-state characterized by a lowered adenosine triphosphate/inorganic orthophosphate ratio. 31P NMR spectroscopy can be used to measure metabolic changes in the lens. This model offers an important means to study dynamic metabolism in the human lens in the setting of diabetic cataractogenesis.  相似文献

Surface-modified magnetic nanoparticles can be used in extraction processes as they readily disperse in common solvents and combine high saturation magnetization with excellent accessibility. Reversible and recyclable adsorption and desorption through solvent changes and magnetic separation provide technically attractive alternatives to classical solvent extraction. Thin polymer layered carbon-coated cobalt nanoparticles were tagged with β-cyclodextrin. The resulting material reversibly adsorbed organic contaminants in water within minutes. Isolation of the immobilized inclusion complex was easily carried out within seconds by magnetic separation due to the strong magnetization of the nanomagnets (metal core instead of hitherto used iron oxide). The trapped molecules were fully and rapidly recovered by filling the cyclodextrin cavity with a microbiologically well accepted substitute, e.g., benzyl alcohol. Phenolphthalein was used as a model compound for organic contaminants such as polychlorinated dibenzodioxins (PCDDs) or bisphenol A (BPA). Fast regeneration of nanomagnets (compared to similar cyclodextrin-based systems) under mild conditions resulted in 16 repetitive cycles (adsorption/desorption) at full efficiency. The high removal and regeneration efficiency was examined by UV-vis measurements at chemical equilibrium conditions and under rapid cycling (5 min). Experiments at ultralow concentrations (160 ppb) underline the high potential of cyclodextrin modified nanomagnets as a fast, recyclable extraction method for organic contaminants in large water streams or as an enrichment tool for analytics.  相似文献

Structure-based drug discovery requires the iterative determination of protein-ligand costructures in order to improve the binding affinity and selectivity of potential drug candidates. In general, X-ray and NMR structure determination methods are time consuming and are typically the limiting factor in the drug discovery process. The application of molecular docking simulations to filter and evaluate drug candidates has become a common method to improve the throughput and efficiency of structure-based drug design. Unfortunately, molecular docking methods suffer from common problems that include ambiguous ligand conformers or failure to predict the correct docked structure. A rapid approach to determine accurate protein-ligand costructures is described based on NMR chemical shift perturbation (CSP) data routinely obtained using 2D 1H-15N HSQC spectra in high-throughput ligand affinity screens. The CSP data is used to both guide and filter AutoDock calculations using our AutoDockFilter program. This method is demonstrated for 19 distinct protein-ligand complexes where the docked conformers exhibited an average rmsd of 1.17 +/- 0.74 A relative to the original X-ray structures for the protein-ligand complexes.  相似文献

The mechanism of the previously published technique of dielectric barrier electrospray ionization (DB-ESI) was investigated in more detail. Two independent current signals occurring during the DB-ESI could be explained and allocated to sub-processes. The modulated shape of the HV signal, the applied frequency as well as the inner diameter of the emitter capillary have a big impact on the spray. Furthermore, there exists a cut-off frequency which depends on the electronic properties of the DB-ESI interface. Comparable mass spectra for lysine employing both conventional ESI and DB-ESI show a good analytical potential of the new technique.  相似文献

We present here the possibility of forming triphilic mixtures from alkyl‐ and fluoroalkylimidazolium ionic liquids, thus, macroscopically homogeneous mixtures for which instead of the often observed two domains—polar and nonpolar—three stable microphases are present: polar, lipophilic, and fluorous ones. The fluorinated side chains of the cations indeed self‐associate and form domains that are segregated from those of the polar and alkyl domains. To enable miscibility, despite the generally preferred macroscopic separation between fluorous and alkyl moieties, the importance of strong hydrogen bonding is shown. As the long‐range structure in the alkyl and fluoroalkyl domains is dependent on the composition of the liquid, we propose that the heterogeneous, triphilic structure can be easily tuned by the molar ratio of the components. We believe that further development may allow the design of switchable, smart liquids that change their properties in a predictable way according to their composition or even their environment.  相似文献
