A chromotropic acid-functionalized polyurethane foam has been developed for use in an on-line preconcentration system for cobalt and nickel determination. The packing material was prepared by covalent coupling of chromotropic acid with the polyurethane foam through an azo group. Co and Ni ions were sorbed in the mini-column, from which they could be eluted directly to the nebulizer-burner system of a flame atomic absorption spectrometer. Elution of cobalt and nickel from the mini-column can be accomplished with 0.50 and 0.75 M HCl solutions, respectively. The enrichment factors obtained were 22 (Co) and 27 (Ni), for 60 s preconcentration time, and 57 (Co) and 59 (Ni), if a preconcentration time of 180 s was used. Under the optimum conditions, the proposed procedure allowed the determination of metals with detection limits of 0.43 (cobalt) and 0.52 microg/L (nickel), respectively, on using preconcentration periods of 180 s. The accuracy of the developed procedure was evaluated by analysis of the certified reference materials NIST 1515 Apple Leaves and NIST 1570a Spinach Leaves. The method was applied to the analysis of lettuce samples. The contents of cobalt in the samples analyzed varied from 0.75 to 0.98 microg/g. Nickel was not detected in the lettuce samples. 相似文献

This study reports on the use of surface‐enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) detection and follow‐up treatment of Paracoccidioides brasiliensis (Pb) infection in lung's mice. We also reports on the introduction of a new drug carrier system [nanoparticle‐Amphotericin B (NP‐AmB)], comprising magnetic NP surface functionalized with AmB, and its use in the treatment of infected and non‐infected mice. SERS was successfully used to monitor the efficacy of the mice's treatment using the new NP‐AmB, while free AmB (F‐AmB), considering the current drug of choice for treatment of Pb infection, was also used and taken as reference for the treatment. We found SERS provides a robust platform to discriminate infected lung tissues from non‐infected ones based on fingerprints assessed via SERS spectra and focused on the redox state of heme groups present in the collected biological material. Finally, SERS data reported in this study indicated that the new NP‐AmB formulation provides similar clinical response as the F‐AmB, although incorporating 40% lower content of AmB and administered in a time interval schedule (every 72 h) three times longer than F‐AmB (every 24 h). Sunscreen agents and in particular UV filters are compounds added in different cosmetic formulations, that has the function of preventing damage caused by sun exposition. Therefore, this paper proposes the development of a simple, fast and reliable electroanalytical method utilizing square wave voltammetry (SWV) to the determination of Benzophenone‐3 (BZ‐3), camphor 4‐methylbenzylidene (MBC) and 2‐ethylhexyl‐4‐methoxycinnamate (OMC) in cosmetic samples. The electrochemical system consisted of a cell with three electrodes: work – gold electrode modified, reference – Ag/AgCl(sat) and auxiliary – platinum, using as supporting electrolyte 4.0 mL of Britton Robinson Buffer 0.04 mol L?1 (pH=4.0), 1.0 mL of methanol and 5.50×10?4 mol L?1 of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). The method was validated using three commercial sunscreen samples and the results showed recovery values between 83 and 98 %. The average values found for the analysed samples were 3.49 % m/m (728 mg L?1) to BZ‐3, 0.56 % m/m (113 mg L?1) to MBC and 0.99 % m/m (208 mg L?1) to OMC. The detection (DL) and quantification (QL) limits were 0.47 mg L?1 and 1.56 mg L?1 to BZ‐3, 0.77 mg L?1 and 2.58 mg L?1 to MBC and 0.78 mg L?1 and 2.59 mg L?1 to OMC, respectively. The sunscreen protector samples were also evaluated by high‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) demonstrating a good correlation between the results and compared the results with allowed concentration. 相似文献

Evidence is given for the existence of metal-free spin channels in an insulating medium. First-principles calculations indicate the presence of an unpaired spin, in a ground state boron-nitrogen nanostructure with a carbon zig-zag chain generated by the inclusion of a disclination with either negative or positive Gaussian curvature. A novel method for the online extraction and preconcentration of four sulfonamides was developed using column switching liquid chromatography. Sulfadiazine, sulfathiazole, sulfamethoxypyridazine and sulfamethoxazole were analysed in water samples and preconcentrated in a C18 guard column. Suitable validation parameters were obtained, such as precision, accuracy and relative recovery, in accordance with the validation guidelines of the Food and Drug Administration. Low limits of detection (0.05–0.09 µg L?1) and quantification (0.30 µg L?1, for all of them) were obtained. The quadratic polynomial model was used to adjust the calibration data, and the coefficients of determination were higher than 0.999 for all the analytes. The method was shown to be robust to the assayed parameters according to Youden’s test. The proposed method was successfully used to determine sulfonamides in 11 different fish farming water samples, in which sulfadiazine (0.732 µg L?1), sulfamethoxazole (0.531 µg L?1), sulfathiazole (0.546–1.856 µg L?1) and sulfamethoxypyridazine (0.369–1.509 µg L?1) were found. 相似文献
