Most of the literature on compressed sensing has not paid enough attention to scenarios in which the number of acquired measurements is insufficient to satisfy minimal exact reconstruction requirements. In practice, encountering such scenarios is highly likely, either intentionally or unintentionally, that is, due to high sensing cost or to the lack of knowledge of signal properties. We analyze signal reconstruction performance in this setting. The main result is an expression of the reconstruction error as a function of the number of acquired measurements. 相似文献

This work reports the synthesis and characterization of a hybrid molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) membrane for removal of methylene blue (MB) in an aqueous environment. MB-MIP powders were hybridized into a polymer membrane (cellulose acetate (CA) and polysulfone (PSf)) after it was ground and sieved (using 90 μm sieve). MB-MIP membranes were prepared using a phase inversion process. The MB-MIP membranes were characterized using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) and Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). Parameters investigated for the removal of MB by using membrane MB-MIP include pH, effect of time, concentration of MB, and selectivity studies. Maximum sorption of MB by PSf-MB-MIP membranes and CA-MB-MIP membranes occurred at pH 10 and pH 12, respectively. The kinetic study showed that the sorption of MB by MB-MIP membranes (PSf-MB-MIP and CA-MB-MIP) followed a pseudo-second-order-model and the MB sorption isotherm can be described by a Freundlich isotherm model. 相似文献

Aluminum (Al) and its alloys have widespread engineering applications because of their higher strength to weight ratio, ductility, and formability. However, in various applications, mechanical properties such as hardness, corrosion, wear, and fatigue resistance are prerequisite at near surface regions. Such localized modification without affecting the bulk phase can be performed by various surface-engineering approaches including electro-deposition, physical and chemical vapor depositions, thermal spraying, plasma spraying, and organic polymeric coatings. Delamination failure of such coatings from the substrate is often inevitable due to the difference in film-to-substrate elastic modulus associated with the aforementioned processes. Recently, researchers have adopted a new approach of laser surface engineering to modify the near surface regions of metallic substrate by laser beams resulting in superior mechanical properties with the formation of novel microstructures. In this article, the recent developments in the surface modification of Al and its alloy by laser treatment are reviewed. Processing parameters and resulting microstructures of Al and its alloys are briefly summarized, along with their impact on mechanical properties. Parameter estimation of signals of universal software radio peripheral (USRP) devices is crucial to solve the problem of phase offsets of received signals in distributed beamforming. For systems that will utilize the closed loop feedback algorithm where the receiver needs to send the received signal strength (RSS) values periodically to the beamforming node so as to take advantage of energy conservation, the frequency and phase of these signals should be estimated before smoothening by nonlinear filters. This article presents the estimation of the frequency offsets of a Gaussian minimum shift keying (GMSK) signal from N210 USRP devices in real time by using the Radix-2 fast Fourier transform (FFT) algorithm in GNURadio. For these green communications devices, most of the needed hardware parts have been software defined, thereby reducing the supposed energy consumption. The frequency offsets from reference carrier frequencies of 900 MHz and 2.4 GHz are less than 3 kHz each before the estimation, but the average offsets are 45 Hz and 100 Hz after the estimation, respectively. The high offset value experienced with the 2.4 GHz carrier was due to consistent interference from devices on that same frequency. 相似文献

Lycopene is a well-known compound found commonly in tomatoes which brings wide range of health benefits against cardiovascular diseases and cancers. From an anti-cancer perspective, lycopene is often associated with reduced risk of prostate cancer and people often look for it as a dietary supplement which may help to prevent cancer. Previous scientific evidence exhibited that the anti-cancer activity of lycopene relies on its ability to suppress oncogene expressions and induce proapoptotic pathways. To further explore the real potential of lycopene in cancer prevention, this review discusses the new insights and perspectives on the anti-cancer activities of lycopene which could help to drive new direction for research. The relationship between inflammation and cancer is being highlighted, whereby lycopene suppresses cancer via resolution of inflammation are also discussed herein. The immune system was found to be a part of the anti-cancer system of lycopene as it modulates immune cells to suppress tumor growth and progression. Lycopene, which is under the family of carotenoids, was found to play special role in suppressing lung cancer. 相似文献

We study the screening length \(L_{\mathrm{max}}\) of a moving quark–antiquark pair in a hot plasma, which lives in a two sphere, \(S^2\), using the AdS/CFT correspondence in which the corresponding background metric is the four-dimensional Schwarzschild–AdS black hole. The geodesic of both ends of the string at the boundary, interpreted as the quark–antiquark pair, is given by a stationary motion in the equatorial plane by which the separation length L of both ends of the string is parallel to the angular velocity \(\omega \). The screening length and total energy H of the quark–antiquark pair are computed numerically and show that the plots are bounded from below by some functions related to the momentum transfer \(P_c\) of the drag force configuration. We compare the result by computing the screening length in the reference frame of the moving quark–antiquark pair, in which the background metrics are “Boost-AdS” and Kerr–AdS black holes. Comparing both black holes, we argue that the mass parameters \(M_{\mathrm{Sch}}\) of the Schwarzschild–AdS black hole and \(M_{\mathrm{Kerr}}\) of the Kerr–AdS black hole are related at high temperature by \(M_{\mathrm{Kerr}}=M_{\mathrm{Sch}}(1-a^2l^2)^{3/2}\), where a is the angular momentum parameter and l is the AdS curvature. 相似文献

The present development of high data rate wireless applications has led to extra bandwidth demands. However, finding a new spectrum bandwidth to accommodate these applications and services is a challenging task because of the scarcity of spectrum resources. In fact, the spectrum is utilized inefficiently for conventional spectrum allocation, so Federal Communications Commission has proposed dynamic spectrum access mechanism in cognitive radio, where unlicensed users can opportunistically borrow unused licensed spectrum, which is a challenge to obtain contiguous frequency spectrum block. This also has a significant impact on multicarrier transmission systems such as orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and multicarrier code division multiple access (MC‐CDMA). As a solution, this paper develops non‐contiguous OFDM (NC‐OFDM) and non‐contiguous MC‐CDMA (NC‐MC‐CDMA) cognitive system. The implementation of NC‐OFDM and NC‐MC‐CDMA systems provides high data rate via a large number of non‐contiguous subcarriers without interfering with the existing transmissions. The system performance evaluates NC‐OFDM and NC‐MC‐CDMA for mobile scenario where each propagation path will experience Doppler frequency shift because of the relative motion between the transmitter and receiver. The simulation results of this paper proved that NC‐OFDM system is a superior candidate than NC‐MC‐CDMA system considering the mobility for cognitive users.
