Research in the areas of analog circuit fault simulation and test generation has not achieved the same degree of success as its digital counterpart owing to the difficulty in modeling the more complex analog behavior. This article presents a novel approach to this problem by mapping the good and faulty circuits to thediscrete Zdomain. An efficient fault simulation is then performed on this discretized circuit for the given input test wave form. This simulator provides an order of magnitude speedup over traditional circuit simulators. An efficient fault simulator and the formulation of analog fault models opens up the ground for analog automatic test generation.Note 1. Fitting the value function in a Markovian decision process by a linear superposition of M basis functions reduces the problem dimensionality from the number of states down to M, with good accuracy retained if the value function is a smooth function of its argument, the state vector. A popular prediction tool for decision making is the compensatory model based on regression analysis. In this model, the predicted performance is given by a linear combination of predictor scores, so that a reduction on the score of one variable can be compensated for by an increase in the score of a second variable. As an alternative this paper explores the predictive value of two simple Boolean models in which the predicted scores are given by predictor values connected by the or and and operators through the vehicle of fuzzy-set theory. Paramatized transformations relating raw scores on predictors to fuzzy-set membership are introduced and optimal values found. The model is tested on the performance scores of students in a graduate library school program. It is found that on the learning data, the disjunctive model outperforms the traditional regression model; the two models perform about the same on validation data. 相似文献

Due to the high surface to volume ratio, the interfacial tension of porous solids affects their outer dimensions by a minute, but detectable amount. Changes in the interfacial tension of a high surface area graphite electrode could be monitored adopting the moire deflectometry, a new optical technique for ray deflection mapping, by which the resolution in relative length changes of th e electrode was less than 1 microstrain.The strain vs. potential curves are typically pseudo-parabolic. Within the double layer potential range, their slope is a linear function of the electronic charge delivered to the electrode. Unlike the double layer charge, faradaic currents are not recognized as a strain change of the electrode, thus the method may serve to distinguish between faradaic and double layer processes. Hysteresis takes place in curves of charge or strain vs. electrode potential, but not for charge vs. strain curves. The minimum in the strain-potential plot, attributed to the potential of zero charge occurs at about –350 mV vs. SCE, corresponding to a surface group free carbon (or graphite) electrode. 相似文献

Recently a public committee has been appointed by the Israeli government. The committee was assigned to prepare regional plans for the northeastern Negev, in the southern part of Israel, in order to absorb some of the large waves of immigrants (about 400,000) expected by the year 2000. Among the strategic issues treated by the committee were the questions when, where and whether to build a new hospital in the area. The locational decision was studied by first identifying a finite candidate set of possible sites. At the final stage various quantitative locational models were employed. In the next stage a subjective multicriteria model was further used to derive locationally preferred solutions. This paper focuses on the first stage. Furthermore, the suggested solution approach is discussed in light of strategic issues. 相似文献
