The design and synthesis of a few simple N-benzyl derivatives of isobornyl amine is presented. The derivatives have been assessed as chiral solvating agents for effective discrimination of the signals of some acids in NMR analysis. The single crystal X-ray analysis of the salts of (R)-mandelic acid with two of the title derivatives help to understand the supramolecular interactions and assign the induced chemical shifts in 1H NMR analysis. The title derivative is found to be suitable for quantitative determination of the enantiomeric excess of unknown enantiomeric purity as well as being efficient in resolving racemic mandelic acid. 相似文献

This paper presents a modified graded mesh for singularly perturbed two-parameter problems. The mesh is generated recursively using Newton's algorithm and some implicitly defined function. The problem is solved numerically using the finite element method based on higher order polynomials of degree p≥1. We prove parameter uniform convergence of optimal order in ε-weighted energy norm. Nucleophiles add to the C-2 position from a direction opposite to that of the disposition of the anomeric methoxy group. A global analytical potential energy surface for the ground state of H(3)(-) has been constructed by fitting an analytic function to the ab initio potential energy values computed using coupled cluster singles and doubles with perturbative triples [CCSD(T)] method and Dunning's augmented correlation consistent polarized valence triple zeta basis set. Using this potential energy surface, time-dependent quantum mechanical wave packet calculations were carried out to calculate the reaction probabilities (P(R)) for the exchange reaction H(-)+H(2)(v, j)-->H(2)+H(-), for different initial vibrational (v) and rotational (j) states of H(2), for total angular momentum equal to zero. With increase in v, the number of oscillations in the P(R)(E) plot increases and the oscillations become more pronounced. While P(R) increases with increase in rotational excitation from j=0 to 1, it decreases with further increase in j to 2 over a wide range of energies. In addition, rotational excitation quenches the oscillations in P(R)(E) plots. 相似文献

A novel design of a photonic microwave filter with infinite impulse response is presented and demonstrated experimentally, ft overcomes the problems due to optical coherence. The design exhibits substantial flexibility, permitting easy and continuous tunability of the free spectral range. In particular, when a Mach-Zehnder modulator is used in the filter, the passband of the filter response can be changed to stopband and vice versa. The design also provides scope for cascading more stages. Theoretical analysis and measured results are presented, showing a very good match between them. 相似文献

The spectral efficiency of a cellular network can be increased significantly by allowing spatial reuse of its spectrum by an underlay device-to-device (D2D) network. In an underlay D2D network, devices in close vicinity are allowed to establish low-power direct links with little to no involvement of the base station. In order to increase the spectral efficiency and the number of devices with channel access, multiple D2D pairs may transmit in each cellular channel. Additionally, each pair can be allowed to utilize multiple channels to transmit so as to maximize the D2D network capacity. This multiple-pair multiple-channel (MPMC) strategy is quite appealing but is limited by the resultant additional aggregate interference and the inherent complexity, hence necessitating the need for a fast and reliable channel allocation scheme. This work proposes a polynomial-time iterative Hungarian assignment with feedback (IHAF) algorithm for multiple channel allocations amongst multiple D2D pairs that increases the D2D network capacity manifold while maintaining the desired minimum capacity for each cellular user. 相似文献

We present an analytical expression relating the output state of polarization and the first-order polarization mode dispersion (PMD) vector in terms of the angle of precession of the output state of polarization around the PMD vector. We derive, incorporating for the first time this angle of precession, a general relation to study the effect of first-order PMD on pulses of arbitrary shapes, and expressions for pulse shape, pulse broadening and power penalty taking into account both PMD and chromatic dispersion. Ion acoustic dressed solitons in a three component plasma consisting of cold ions, hot electrons and positrons are studied. Using reductive perturbation method, Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation and a linear inhomogeneous equation, governing respectively the evolution of first and second order potentials are derived for the system. Renormalization procedure of Kodama and Taniuti is used to obtain nonsecular solutions of these coupled equations. It is found that electron–positron–ion plasma system supports only compressive solitons. For a given amplitude of soliton on increasing the positron concentration, velocity of the KdV as well as dressed soliton increases. For any arbitrary values of soliton's amplitude and positron concentration, velocity of the dressed soliton is found to be larger than that of the KdV soliton. For small amplitude of solitons, the width of KdV as well as dressed soliton decreases as positron concentration increases and width of dressed soliton is found to be larger than that of the KdV soliton. However, for a large value of soliton's amplitude as concentration of positrons increases, instead of decreasing width of dressed soliton starts to increase. 相似文献
