Least-Square Collaborative Beamforming Linear Array for Steering Capability in Green Wireless Sensor Networks

This paper presents a collaborative beamforming (CB) technique to organize the sensor node's location in a linear array for green wireless sensor network (WSN) applications. In this method, only selected clusters and active CB nodes are needed each time to perform CB in WSNs. The proposed least-square linear array (LSLA) manages to select nodes to perform as a linear antenna array (LAA), which is similar to and as outstanding as the conventional uniform linear array (ULA). The LSLA technique is also able to solve positioning error problems that exist in the random nodes deployment. The beampattern fluctuations have been analyzed due to the random positions of sensor nodes. Performances in terms of normalized power gains are given. It is demonstrated by a simulation that the proposed technique gives similar performances to the conventional ULA and at the same time exhibits lower complexity. 相似文献

Poly(ethylene‐co‐vinyl acetate) (EVA) plastic films are widely used for solar coverings including photovoltaic modules and commercial greenhouse films, but are poor at controlling heat flow. In this work, silica aerogel (SA) nanogels were examined for preparing transparent heat retention EVA films that block far infrared spectra radiation to maintain heat, without compromising the optical performance of the films. SA nanogels were melt‐mixed using a mini twin‐screw extruder with EVA pellets to form SA/EVA composite, which were pressed into thin films with controlled thickness. The composite films were characterized in terms of optical properties using a variety of analytical methods including FTIR, UV–Vis spectroscopy, electron, confocal, and atomic force microscopy. Both thermicity and thermal conductivity of commercial and experimental SA/EVA films were measured. The results demonstrated that the SA/EVA films gave improved infrared retention compared to commercial thermal plastic films without compromising visible light transmission, showing the potential for this approach in next generation heat retention films. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, the homotopy analysis method is applied to solve linear and nonlinear fractional initial-value problems (fIVPs). The fractional derivatives are described by Caputo’s sense. Nanosized cobalt ferrite spinel particles have been prepared by using mechanically alloyed nanoparticles. The effects of various preparation parameters on the crystallite size of cobalt ferrite which includes milling time; ball-to powder weight ratio (BPR) and sintering temperature, were studied using X-ray diffractometer (XRD). Scherrer's equation was used to study the crystallite size evolution of the as-prepared materials. The results of the as-milled sample revealed that both milling time and BPR plays a role in determining the crystallite size of the milled powder. However, where sintering is involved, the sintering temperature results in grain growth, and thus plays a dominant role in determining the final crystallite size of the samples sintered at higher temperature (above 900 °C). From the vibrating-sample magnetometer (VSM) measurement it was observed that the coercivity of the as-milled samples without sintering is almost negligible, which is a type characteristic of superparamagnetic material. However, for the sintered samples, the saturation increases while coercivity decreases with increases sintering temperature. 相似文献

Undoped and doped ZnO with 1 at.% (atomic percentage) chromium (Cr) was synthesized by RF reactive co-sputtering for oxygen gas sensing applications. The prepared films showed a highly c-oriented phase with a dominant (0 0 2) peak at a Bragg angle of around 34.2°. The operating temperature of the prepared ZnO sensor was around 350 °C and shifted to around 250 °C for the doped ZnO sensor which is lower than that of previously reported work. The sensitivity of the sensor toward oxygen gas was enhanced by doping ZnO with 1 at.% Cr. Good stability and repeatability of the sensor were demonstrated when tested under different concentration of oxygen atmosphere. 相似文献

Photopyroelectric spectroscopy is used to study the
band-gap energy of the ceramic (ZnO + xSb2O3), x = 0.1 - 1.5 mol%
and the ceramic (ZnO + 0.4 mol% Bi2O3 + xSb2O3), x = 0 - 1.5 mol% sintered at isothermal temperature, 1280 °C, for 1 and 2 hours. The wavelength of incident light, modulated
at 9 Hz, is kept in the visible range and the photopyroelectric spectrum with
reference to doping level is discussed. The band-gap energy is reduced from
3.2 eV, for pure ZnO, to 2.86, 2.83 eV for the samples without
Bi2O3at 0.1 mol% of Sb2O3 for 1 and 2 hours of
sintering time, respectively. It is reduced to 2.83, 2.80 eV for the samples
with Bi2O3 at 0 mol% of Sb2O3 for 1 and 2 hours of
sintering time, respectively. The steepness factor σA which
characterizes the slop of exponential optical absorption is discussed with
reference to the doping level. The phase constitution is determined by XRD
analysis; microstructure and compositional analysis of the selected areas
