First-principles plane-wave pseudopotential calculations of the adhesion, bonding and magnetism of the interface between the ferromagnetic bcc Fe and non-magnetic HfC are performed. The work of adhesion for C- and Hf-site Fe/HfC interfaces is calculated. High adhesion at C-site interface is found and Fe–C polar covalent bonds are formed across the interface. The magnetic moments of Fe atoms at interface are increased in both interfaces. The effect of the magnetism on the electronic structure of Fe/HfC interface is also investigated. It is shown that the change in band of majority-spin leads to enhance the magnetic moment of Fe.  相似文献

The study of a bubbly laminar two-phase flow in an open capillary channel under microgravity conditions was conducted aboard the sounding rocket, Texus-45. The channel consists of two parallel plates of width b = 25 mm and distance a = 10 mm. The flow along the length l = 80 mm is confined by a free surface on one side and a plate on the opposite side. The bubbles are injected at the nozzle of the capillary channel via six capillary tubes of 100 μm in inner diameter. Different liquid and gas flow rates were tested leading to different liquid free surface shape and bubble size.  相似文献

The optimal control of water quality model is considered. We analyze a regularized version of the pointwise control. A numerical algorithm is presented. The solution approach is a combination of a TVD scheme for the shallow water equations and a purley deterministic particle method for the pollutant problem. We present some computational results. We consider a simple but representative model incorporating the main behavior of the electromagnetic field near the edge of a patch antenna. Recall that this kind of antenna is obtained by a metal patch laying on a dielectric substrate covering a ground metallic plane. The functioning principle of such an electric device is based on the matching of an N-dimensional behavior of the field outside the antenna with an (N-1)-dimensional one inside the zone limited by the patch and the ground plane, N = 3 or 2 according to the considered model. In this study, we make use of the technique of matched asymptotic expansions and computation of singularities to describe this behavior for the two-dimensional case. The objective of this work is to simulate a single quantum well ultraviolet light emitting diode (LED) based on AlGaN/GaN/AlGaN and AlGaN/BGaN/AlGaN, by using TCAD Silvaco simulator. The first structure has a GaN quantum well taken between two layers, of n-AlGaN and p-AlGaN. The second one has a BGaN quantum well instead of GaN. We fix the concentration of the boron in BGaN to only 1% and we vary the thickness of GaN and BGaN quantum well layer from 7 to 20 nm, for the two structures. As results, we obtain respectively for GaN-LED and BGaN-LED, a maximum current of 0.52 and 0.27 mA, a maximum power spectral density of 1.935 and 6.7 W cm−1 eV−1, a maximum spontaneous emission of 3.34 × 1028 and 3.43 × 1028 s−1 cm−3 eV−1, and a maximum Light output power of 0.56 and 0.89 mW.  相似文献

One of the complex problems nowadays in communication systems is the lack of frequency spectrum. To solve this problem, cognitive radio is considered the best candidate that can opportunistically exploit the spectrum. The periodogram based spectrum sensing technique can be used to detect the spectrum in cognitive radio. It is a useful technique since does not need to prior information about the primary signal. In this paper, a new periodogram is presented using the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT). Results are analyzed and compared with the current raw periodogram. It is observed that the DCT periodogram outperforms the raw technique in terms of probabilities of false alarm and detection, variance, and complexity. In addition, the lowest power of DCT coefficients can be removed without compromising the sensing performance. The proposed system shows high probability of detection with low probability of false alarm even in the case of low Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR).  相似文献

Graphene‐based textiles show promise for next‐generation wearable electronic applications due to their advantages over metal‐based technologies. However, current reduced graphene oxide (rGO)‐based electronic textiles (e‐textiles) suffer from poor electrical conductivity and higher power consumption. Here, highly conductive, ultraflexible, and machine washable graphene‐based wearable e‐textiles are reported. A simple and scalable pad?dry?cure method with subsequent roller compression and a fine encapsulation of graphene flakes is used. The graphene‐based wearable e‐textiles thus produced provide lowest sheet resistance (≈11.9 Ω sq?1) ever reported on graphene e‐textiles, and highly conductive even after 10 home laundry washing cycles. Moreover, it exhibits extremely high flexibility, bendability, and compressibility as it shows repeatable response in both forward and backward directions before and after home laundry washing cycles. The scalability and multifunctional applications of such highly conductive graphene‐based wearable e‐textiles are demonstrated as ultraflexible supercapacitor and skin‐mounted strain sensors.  相似文献
