Synthesis and Characterization of Ferrocene-terminated Ruthenium Phenylacetylide COmplexes with Alligator Clips

Ferrocene-terminated trans-Ru(dppm)2 (dppm=Ph2PCH2pph2)-containing molecular wires with alligator clips were prepared.They are suitable for self-assembly on gold electrode to investigate the influence of metal incorporation on the electron transportation property of the molecular wires.     

Direct Observation of Various Al Sites in SAPO-34by ^27Al Multiquantum(MQ) Magic Angle Spinning (MAS)NMR

The elegant 2D multiquantum (MQ) MAS NMR has been applied to investigate the coordination of Al atoms in SAPO-34.The results show that the effects of the template and /or water on the coordination of Al atoms are significant,which lead to the formation of various Al species.Up to four kinds of Al species are distinctly resolved.     

Synthesis of New Chiral C2-Symmetrical Bis(oxazoline )Compounds

New chiral C2-symmetrical bis(oxazoline)compounds bearing one isobutyl-,secbutyl-benzyl- or isopropyl-substituent at the 4-position have been prepared and characterized.     

Characterization of Nested Hollow Inorganic Fullerene-like Tungsten Disulfide Nanoparticles Prepared by Solid-Gas Reaction

Non-carbon inorganic fullerene-like(IF) nanoscale materials have recently attracted intense interest due to their nested hollow and nanotube structures,In this letter,IF-WS2 nanoparticles prepared by solid-gas reaction were characterized by X-ray diffraction,Scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy.The results show that the IF-WS2 nanoparticles have a nested hollow closed spherical structure with diameter of 100-150mm.     

Effect of Particle Size and Capping on Photoluminescence Quantum Efficiency of 1,3,5-Triphenyl-2-pyrazoline Nanocrystals

Organic nanocrystals of 1,3,5-triphenyl-2-pyrazoline(TPP) with a series of sizes were synthesized by reprecipitation method.The luminescence quantum efficiency of TPP nanocrystals increases from 24.2% for the nanocrystals with an average size of 300nm to 34.6% for those with an average size of 20nm.Surface capping by polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP) will improve the quantum efficiency of TPP nanocrystals.The size-dependence and capping-induced variation of the luminescence quantum efficiency was elucidated in viewpoint of aggregation quenching and the equilibrium between the TPP monomers and the aggregates in TPP nanocrystals.     

Novel Chiral Aminophosphine Ligand:Synthesis and Application in Saymmetric Catalytic Hydrogenation Reaction

A new chiral aminophosphine ligand 6,6′-dimethoxy-2,2′-bis(diphenylphosphinoamino)biphenyl(DMBDPPABP) was prepared and its rhodium complex was found to be an effective catalyst for the asymmetric hydrogenation of amidoacrylic acid and its dervatives.The effects of solvent and reaction temperature on enantioselectivity were also studied.     

An Integrated Theory of Adsorption and Partition Mechanism and Eash Contribution to Solute Retention in Reversed Phase Liquid Chromatography

With the combination of the the stoichiometric displacement model for retention (SDM-R) in reversed phase liquid chromatography (RPLC) and the stoichiometric displacement model for adsorption (SDM-A) in physical chemistry,the total number of moles of the re-solvated methanol of stationary phase side.nr,and that of solute side in the mobile phase,q,corresponding the one mole of the desorbing solute,were separately determined and referred as the characterization parameters of the contributions of the adsorption mechanism and partition mechanism to the solute retention,respectively.A chromatographic system of insulin,using mobile phase consisting of the pseudo-homologue of alcohols(methanol,ethanol and 2-propanol)-water and trifluoroacetic acid was employed.The maximum number of the methanol layers on the stationary phase surface was found to be 10.6,only 3 of which being valid in usual RPLC,traditionally referred as a volume process in partition mechanism.However,it still follows the SDM-R.Both of q and nr of insulin were found not to be zero,indicating that the retention mechanism of insulin is a mixed mode of partition mechanism and adsorption mechanism.When methanol is used as the organic modifier,the ratio of q/nr was 1.13,indicating the contribution to insulin retention due to partition mechanism being a bit greater than that due to adsorption mechanism.A linear relationship between q,or nr and the carbon number of the pseudo-homologue in the mobile phase was also found.As a methodology for investigating the retention mechanism retention and behavior of biopolymers.a homologue of organic solvents as the organic modifier in mobile phase has also been explored.     

Synthesis and Characterization of a Novel Copoly(aryl ether ketone) Containing 4,4′-Biphenyl-bis[4-phthalazin-1(2H)-one] moiety

A new monomer of 4,4′-biphenyl-bis[4-phthalazin-1(2H)-one] was synthesized from biphenly and phthalic anhydride,and a novel copoly(aryl ether ketone)(PPEK) was synthesized from 2,2-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)-propane(BPA),4,4′-biphenyl-bis-[4-phthalazin-1(2H)pne],4,4′-difluorodiphenylketone(DFK).The monomer and copolymer were characterized by FT-IR and ^1H-NMR.DSC and TGA were used to the novel polymer.
