Performance Comparison of WDM Systems with Different Duty Cycle

The performances of nonlinear WDM systems with different duty cycle are compared by means of numerical simulation.The numerical results show that the optical pulse with duty cycle of 0.5 is superior to the conventional NRZ modulation schene.The conclusion is different from that of some references.The reason is that inter symbol interference is not included in some references.In fact,inter symbol interference plays an important role in monlinear WDM system.Although the larger the duty cycle is,the stronger the effect of the cross-phase modulation and self-phase modulation on nonlinear WDM is however,the larger the duty cycle is ,the stronger the inter symbol interference is.     

New Compenated Method to the Phase for a Bulk Optic Faraday Current Sensor

A new method to reduce the reflection-induced phase between the two ortho-gonal components of the linearly polarized light after the reflections is presented.This kind of sensor haad essier to fabricate and adjust than that whose internal reflection is at critical angle.     

Analytical Expression of the Threshold Pump Power of Erbium—doped Fiber Laeers Pumped at 980 nm and 1480nm Wavelengths

The rate equations,which is suiable to erbium-doped fiber lasers pumped at 980 nm and 1480 nm wavelengths respectively,are investigated,and analytical ex-pressions of the threshold pump powers under two pump wavelengths are derived.As a result,some important parmeters can be quantitatively specified.

966nm半导体激光激发下ErYb：ZBLAN玻璃的上转换特征饱和现象

本文研究了单掺Er和ErYb共掺的ZBLAN玻璃的上转换发光现象,发现了一种新颖的“Er(0.3)Yb(0.5):ZBLAN样品上转换发光强度随激光功率变化的双对数曲线的斜率相对于Er(0.3):ZBLAN样品有明显的降低、但都保持着很好的直线”的这种“特征、饱和现象,它的上转换机制是一种新颖的“扩散－传递”机制：即Yb^3 -Yb^3 间能量扩散和随后的Yb^3 -Er^3 间能量传递。其“特征”饱和现象就是由“Yb^3 -Yb^3 ”间能量扩散导致的。     

激光质谱法探测不同状态下机动车尾气中芳香烃物质相对含量的变化

利用高灵敏度、高选择性、多组分和快速实时分析探测的方法——激光质方法研究机动车尾气。发现在266nm激光作用下,低速状态下机动车尾气中的芳香族含量远高于加速状态下的含量。     

Putting It All Together：Experience and Challenges at the DELPHI off—line Processing Farm

After over 10 years of existence,DELPHI off-line software counts altogether over 1500k lines.Being written by multitude of authorsk,many of them having already left,it is very incoherent and extremely difficult to maintain:it is written in Fortran,it relies on obsolete tools and it has to run in a distributed multi-os computing environment.Still.as the analysis of LEP data will continue during the next 5-6 years,this code will have to be used and be ported to yet another platforms.In order to ensure high efficiency in use of our resources,we have developed several tools which hide from the user most of the intricaices of the operating system,batch system and data access.These tools are well integrated and easy to maintain.As the problems are quite typical for the High Energy Physics software,we believe that the ideas we have implemented can be useful also for the next generation of experiments.     

平顶高斯高束的传输特性

将平顶高斯光束作为一个整体光束处理,研究了它通过近轴ABCD光学系统的传输特性,对无光阑情况,推导出较为普遍的解析式;而对有光阑限制情况,数值积分是可行的。给出的典型数值计算结果证实了这种方法与有限拉盖尔－高斯函数展开法是等价的。     

Fe：LiNbO3晶体光折变全息热固定动务学特性分析

以Fe:LiNbO3晶体为例,考虑了电子载流子热激发（强烈地依靠于温度）,通过对以扩散和光伏特效应为主导输运机制的带输运议程和耦合波方程进行数值求解,分析了热固定过程初始光强入射比和固定温度对光栅空间电荷场的影响,指出记录固定过程中内电场极值的出现为源于质子电场对施主光栅电场的部分补偿,质子光栅电荷场可以导致晶体中记录光束之间能量耦合方向的变化,得出了理论上的加热固定时间。
