An optimized design of laser range finding system using the self-mixing effect in a single-mode vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) is proposed. In order to improve the ranging accuracy and expand dynamic measurement range, we apply difference frequency analog phase-locked loop (PLL) instead of fast Fourier transform (FFT) to process signal, and choose the optimum triangular wave frequency fm = 500 Hz and small modulation current △Ip-p = 0.28 mA to modulate single-mode VCSEL. The experiment results show that, without controlling the laser's temperature, the ranging accuracy is better than 2 mm and the measurement dynamic range is as large as 50-500 mm when the sampling time is 0,1 s and the room temperature is 0-55℃. 相似文献

The effect of speckle pattern on laser Doppler velocimeters is studied theoretically and experimentally. We have found that dynamic speckle patterns can cause error in velocity measurement. Increasing sampling time and using proper signal processing circuits can eliminate this bad effect caused by speckle pattern. The accuracy of velocity measurement is better than 2.1% in a wide velocity range (4.66-468.86 mm/s) when speckle effects are taken into account. 相似文献

基于激光自混合原理研制了多普勒测速传感系统,应用单纵模垂直腔面发射激光器(VCSEL),简化了光路设计;应用差频模拟锁相环技术处理微弱自混合多普勒信号,提高了测速精度和动态范围;应用单片机进行数字采样测量多普勒频移和计算物体的运动速度,实现了传感系统的集成化和小型化.实验结果表明,该传感系统在采样时间为0.1S的条件下,测速精度优于1%,测速范围达到30~500 mm/s,具有非接触式测量、测速精度高、动态范围大、结构简单、成本低和易于集成化等优点,在生物工程测量等领域有着广泛的应用前景.Abstract: The Doppler velocity sensor system based on laser self-mixing effect applies single-longitudinal-mode vertical-cavity surface-emitted laser (VCSEL),simplifying the optical path.And it uses difference frequency analogy phase locked loop (APLL) to process the self-mixing Doppler signal,so both the velocity measurement accuracy and dynamic range can be improved obviously.And it uses microcontroller unit (MCU) to make digital sampling and measure the Doppler signal frequency to obtain the velocity of the target,realizing the integration and miniaturization of velocity sensor systems.The experimental results show that,with the sampling time of 0.Is,the velocity measurement accuracy is better than 1%,and the dynamic range is from 30mm/s to 500 mm/s.The Doppler velocity sensor system has advantages of non-touch measurement,high accuracy of velocity measurement,wide dynamic range,simple configuration,low cost,and convenience in integration,so it has wide applications in such fields as bioengineering measurement. 相似文献

A real-time two-dimensional (2D) triangulation range finder is presented, which is composed of two linear complementary metal oxidation semiconductor (CMOS) chips, two camera lenses, and four light emitting diodes (LEDs). The high order distortion in image aberrations is the main factor responsible for the coarse errors. The theoretical prediction is in good agreement with experiments and the correction equation is used to obtain more reliable results with the unique distortion coefficient in the whole working region. 相似文献
