A method is described for the precise determination of carbon and hydrogen in milligram, amounts of sample. The method is based on the manometric measurement of the amounts of carbon dioxide and water formed on combustion. A precision mercury manometer is used in which pressures are converted to mercury volumes. The latter are measured with the aid of a commercial piston-type buret using a photo-electric level indication.  相似文献

Summary Crystals ofcatena-di--bromobis(3,5-dimethylpyridine)copper(II) are monoclinic, space group P21/a. The unit cell constants area=13.900(2),b=14.416(2),c=4.097(1) Å,=93.49(2)°, V=819.4 Å3 and Z=2. The structure was determined from powder data using a Guinier-Johansson focussing powder camera. The structure was solved using a simplex method for function minimization to a conventional R-value of 0.13.The structure consists of infinite linear chains parallel toc in which the copper coordination is distorted elongated octahedral. Cu-Br distances were found to be 2.449(7) and 3.286(7) Å, whereas the Cu-N bond length is 2.02(2) Å. All distances are in the range usually observed for this type of compounds.The antiferromagnetic superexchange interactions between adjacent CuII ions (J = –21 cm–1) has been compared with those observed in structural similar CuBr2L2 compounds. The differences in observed J-values are discussed briefly, in relation to the structural variations. It appears that very small changes in structural parameters strongly affect the magnetic exchange.  相似文献

The following reactions, carried out in the absence of solvents, has been studied: α-TiCl3 + Al(CH3)3 at 20°C., β-TiCl3 + Al(CH3)3 at 65°C., α-TiCl3 + Al(CH3)2Cl at 20 and 65°C., and α-TiCl3 + Al(C2H5)3 between 30 and 65°C. It appears that a general reaction mechanism, such as discussed in the preceding paper of this series, applies to all these reactions between TiCl3 and aluminum alkyls. The differences in overall stoichiometry between some of these systems may be linked to differences in stability of the intermediate Ti? C bonds. In the case of α-TiCl3 + Al(CH3)2Cl, alkylation is probably accompanied by fixation of the AlCH3Cl2 on the nonvolatile product.  相似文献

An accurate method for the determination of inorganic sulphate in synthetic detergents has been developed. After addition of a cationic surface-active agent (cetyl pyridinium chloride) to an anionic detergent, sulphate can be determined by means of indirect titration with EDTA, using a mixture of Metalphthalein and Naphthol Green B as indicator.  相似文献

Using CD data (solution, solid state, various temperatures), X-ray data and MO calculations for a number of substituted mandelic acids (phenylglycolic acids) an attempt was made to explain the different results for the relation between sign of the 1Lb CD band and substitution pattern as described in the literature for various types of aromatic compounds. Moreover the reported sector rule has been reconsidered taking into account the sign and magnitude of the spectroscopic moments. It has been found that in any explanation of the signs of the 1Lb CD bands of substituted aromatic compounds both the conformational behaviour and the spectroscopic moments should be taken into account.  相似文献

Several polymeric materials were studied as membrane materials for potassium-selective ion-sensitive field-effect transistors (ISFETs) to overcome the problems related with the use of conventional plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) membranes casted on ISFET gate surfaces. Several acrylate materials, such as ACE, Epocryl and derivatives, showed no reproducible results. Three room-temperature vulcanizing (RTV)-type silicone rubbers were tested. The addition-type RTV-2 silicone rubber was not suitable as a membrane material, but the condensation-type RTV-1 and especially the RTV-2 silicone rubber showed good results. ISFETs with a Silopren membrane showed a durability of at least 2 months.  相似文献

Dendrimers are well-defined hyperbranched macromolecules with characteristic globular structures for the larger systems. These novel polymers have inspired many chemists to develop new materials and several applications have been explored, catalysis being one of them. The recent impressive strides in synthetic procedures increased the accessibility of functionalized dendrimers, resulting in a rapid development of dendrimer chemistry. The position of the catalytic site(s) as well as the spatial separation of the catalysts appears to be of crucial importance. Dendrimers that are functionalized with transition metals in the core potentially can mimic the properties of enzymes, their efficient natural counterparts, whereas the surface-functionalized systems have been proposed to fill the gap between homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysis. This might yield superior catalysts with novel properties, that is, special reactivity or stability. Both the core and periphery strategies lead to catalysts that are sufficiently larger than most substrates and products, thus separation by modern membrane separation techniques can be applied. These novel homogeneous catalysts can be used in continuous membrane reactors, which will have major advantages particularly for reactions that benefit from low substrate concentrations or suffer from side reactions of the product. Here we review the recent progress and breakthroughs made with these promising novel transition metal functionalized dendrimers that are used as catalysts, and we will discuss the architectural concepts that have been applied.  相似文献

The diluted sample is passed through a SepPak C18 cartridge and the toxin is eluted with acetonitrile/water (3:7, v/v). The extract is cleaned up on a SepPak silica cartridge. The antidiagonal spot application technique is used for two-dimensional thin-layer chromatography. Spots are quantified by fluorescence densitometry. Recoveries of aflatoxin M1 added in the range 0.03-0.1 ng g?1 of milk are 86–97%. The detection limit is about 0.005 ng g?1 for milk and 0.05 ng g?1 for milk powder.  相似文献
