Colorless poly(vinyl chloride)s (PVC) containing up to 1.6 allylic chlorines per molecule have been prepared by controlled random dehydrochlorination with a strong base. The effect of temperature in the ?50 to +24°C range on the number of allylic chlorines and color of PVC has been investigated by ozonization experiments and UV–visible spectroscopy. A two-parameter kinetic model has been developed which quantitatively accounts for the observations and points the way for further research.  相似文献

An equation of state for a multicomponent mixture of nonadditive hard spheres in d dimensions is proposed. It yields a rather simple density dependence and constitutes a natural extension of the equation of state for additive hard spheres proposed by us [A. Santos, S. B. Yuste, and M. Lopez de Haro, Mol. Phys. 96, 1 (1999)]. The proposal relies on the known exact second and third virial coefficients and requires as input the compressibility factor of the one-component system. A comparison is carried out both with another recent theoretical proposal based on a similar philosophy and with the available exact results and simulation data in d=1, 2, and 3. Good general agreement with the reported values of the virial coefficients and of the compressibility factor of binary mixtures is observed, especially for high asymmetries and/or positive nonadditivities.  相似文献

In the present work, ethanol electrooxidation on a Pt(100) electrode modified by different coverage degrees of osmium nanoislands obtained by spontaneous depositions, was extensively studied employing in situ FTIR spectroscopy. A collection of spectra of the ethanol adsorption and oxidation processes was acquired during the first series of a positive potential step, to determine the intermediate species, as well as the main products formed. The spectroscopic results obtained were correlated with conventional electrochemical results obtained by cyclic voltammetry. It was shown that the catalytic activity of Pt(100) for ethanol oxidation increases significantly after osmium deposition and that the mechanistic pathway for this reaction depends directly on the osmium coverage degree. Thus, for low osmium coverage (theta;( Os) up to 0.15) the formation of CO as an intermediate was favored and hence the full oxidation of adsorbed ethanol to CO(2) was increased. For higher osmium coverages (theta;(Os) up to 0.33), the higher the coverage is, the more the direct ethanol oxidation to acetaldehyde and acetic acid is favored. For osmium coverage degree of 0.40, the catalytic activity of the electrode for ethanol oxidation decreased. On an almost complete osmium layer (theta;(Os) = 0.92) obtained by electrodeposition at 50 mV vs reversible hydrogen electrode, the catalytic activity for ethanol oxidation shows a much lower value.  相似文献

Base eversion is a fundamental process in the biochemistry of nucleic acids, allowing proteins engaged in DNA repair and epigenetic modifications to access target bases in DNA. Crystal structures reveal end points of these processes, but not the pathways involved in the dynamic process of base recognition. To elucidate the pathway taken by 8-oxoguanine during base excision repair by Fpg, we calculated free energy surfaces during eversion of the damaged base through the major and minor grooves. The minor groove pathway and free energy barrier (6-7 kcal/mol) are consistent with previously reported results (Qi, Y.; Spong, M. C.; Nam, K.; Banerjee, A.; Jiralerspong, S.; Karplus, M.; Verdine, G. L. Nature 2009, 462, 762.) However, eversion of 8-oxoG through the major groove encounters a significantly lower barrier (3-4 kcal/mol) more consistent with experimentally determined rates of enzymatic sliding during lesion search (Blainey, P. C.; van Oijent, A. M.; Banerjee, A.; Verdine, G. L.; Xie, X. S. Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. U.S.A. 2006, 103, 5752.). Major groove eversion has been suggested for other glycosylases, suggesting that in addition to function, dynamics of base eversion may also be conserved.  相似文献

The electrochemical oxidation of ibuprofen at a boron‐doped diamond electrode (BDDE) and its voltammetric determination is reported for the first time. A well‐defined oxidation peak was observed at around 1.6 V in 0.1 mol L?1 H2SO4 solution with 10 % (v/v) ethanol at the BDDE surface activated by either cathodic or anodic pretreatments. A differential‐pulse voltammetric method for the determination of ibuprofen in pharmaceutical formulations was optimized with a detection limit of 5 µmol L?1 and compared with the British Pharmacopeia method.  相似文献

Very different filtration and preservation procedures may be found in the literature on the study of the rainwater dissolved organic fraction. Thus, the influence of sample filtration and preservation procedures on the fluorescence of rainwater dissolved organic matter (DOM) was studied in this work. Rainwater was filtered through different filters (quartz 0.22 μm or PVDF 0.45 μm) and excitation (λem = 415 nm) and synchronous (Δλ = 70 nm) fluorescence spectra were obtained at the same day of collection, or after preservation by refrigeration (1-7 days) or by freezing (1-4 weeks). The excitation-emission matrix (EEM) spectra of rainwater showed six types of fluorescent bands: two corresponding to humic-like bands, and four resembling proteins. Then, the excitation and synchronous spectra were chosen in order to monitor changes in the humic-like and protein-like bands, respectively. The filtration procedures adopted in this work did not affect the fluorescence properties of the rainwater samples. However, these properties were differently preserved by refrigeration or freezing: after refrigeration, filtered rainwater maintained the original fluorescent properties for at least 4 days, while after freezing fluorescent properties were not always preserved since it occurred a decrease of protein-like fluorescence intensity.  相似文献

This article had studied the thermal characterization of the raw material and different fluconazole crystals, obtained through recrystallization with different solvents using thermoanalytical techniques (TG, DTA, DSC-50, DSC Photovisual, DSC-60) and Pyr-GC/MS. The results confirmed that the fluconazole volatilizes without decomposition until 250 °C. Pyr-GC/MS showed hexachlorobenzene like impurities in fluconazole raw material.  相似文献

We present a study of the electrical properties of electrochemically doped conjugated polymers using polymeric light-emitting electrochemical cells (PLECs) and interpreting the results according to a phenomenological model (PM) which assumes that, above the device turn-on voltage, the bulk transport properties of the doped organic semiconductor are responsible for the main contribution to the whole device conductivity. To confirm the predictions of this model, the dependence of the conductivity of PLECs with different parameters is evaluated and compared with the behavior expected for a doped semiconducting polymeric material. The organic semiconductor doping level, the blend concentration of organic semiconducting molecules, the device thickness, the charge carrier mobility, and the temperature are the parameters varied to perform this analysis. We observed that the device conductivity is independent of the active layer thickness, weakly dependent on the temperature, but strongly dependent on the semiconductor doping level, on the semiconductor fraction in the blend, and on the intrinsic charge carrier mobility. These results were well described by the variable range hopping (VRH) model, which has been widely employed to describe the charge transport in doped semiconducting polymeric materials, confirming the prediction of the phenomenological model. The current analysis demonstrates that PLECs are a suitable system for studying, in situ, the electrochemical doping of semiconducting polymers, permitting the evaluation of material properties as, for instance, the density of electronic charge carriers (and, consequently, the ionic charge carrier concentration) necessary to achieve the maximum electrochemical doping level of the organic semiconductor.  相似文献

The present study investigated the essential oil obtained from Campomanesia guazumifolia (Cambess.) O. Berg, an aromatic plant used in Brazilian folk medicine. The chemical composition was performed by GC×GC/qMS. The antioxidant and antimicrobial activities were evaluated by DPPH and BCB and, MIC assays, respectively. Sixty-eight compounds were identified in the oil, where the major compounds were bicyclogermacrene (15%), globulol (5%) and spathulenol (5%). Sesquiterpene hydrocarbons (29 compounds) and oxygenated sesquiterpenes (20 compounds) were the most representative classes of terpenes. DPPH (IC50 value 26.1 ± 0.5 μg/mL) and BCB (68.3 ± 1.5%) values indicated a significant antioxidant activity. The essential oil strongly inhibited Staphylococcus aureus (MIC 15 ± 0.1 μg/mL), Escherichia coli (MIC 25 ± 0.2 μg/mL) and Candida albicans (MIC 5 ± 0.1 μg/mL). The results give a deeper understanding of the chemical composition and report for the first time the antioxidant and antimicrobial potential of the C. guazumifolia essential oil.  相似文献
