Simultaneous Determination of Four Flavonoids in Pigeonpea [Cajanus cajan (L.) Millsp.] Leaves Using RP-LC-DAD

A simple and accurate RP-HPLC method using photodiode array detection (PAD) was developed for the simultaneous determination of four flavonoids, namely quercetin (QU),luteolin(LU),apigenin(AP) and isorhamnetin (IS) in pigeonpea leaves.Extract samples were separated on HIQ SIL C₁₈V column using methanol-acetonitrile-water(31:10:59, v/v/v) as mobile phase.The flavonoids were detected at 254.5 nm for QU and IS, and at 345 nm for LU and AP.Contents were determined with satisfactory repeatability (R. S. D. < 2.2%) and recovery (97.27 – 99.98%). The developed method was found to be simple and efficient.     

丽春红G-高碘酸钾催化光度法测定痕量锇

以Os(Ⅳ )催化高碘酸钾氧化丽春红G(PG)的褪色反应为基础 ,在 90℃加热 1 2min和 5 0 0nm波长处采用固定时间法测定丽春红G吸收值的降低 ,建立了测定痕量锇 (Ⅳ )的新方法。锇 (Ⅳ )的质量浓度在 0～ 0 48μg/L范围内呈良好的线性关系 ,检出限为 6 2× 1 0 - 9mg/L。对 0 4μg/L锇 (Ⅳ )测定的相对标准偏差为 0 71 % (n =1 1 )。催化反应对Os(Ⅳ )和丽春红G均为一级反应 ,催化反应的表观活化能为 78 80kJ/mol。所提出的方法在蒸馏分离后已应用于某些岩矿及冶金产品中锇的测定     

化学键合吸附剂的合成及吸附行为

在无定型硅胶上化学键合十八烷基三氯硅烷，键合率17%-20％，粒度5μm-10μm，以此键合的吸附剂可有效地吸附香烟烟气中的焦油、亚硝胺，吸附率分别为15%-18％和37%-43％，研究了化学键合吸附剂的粒度和加入量对吸附性能的影响。     

Determination of bismuth, indium and lead in geological samples by electrothermal AAS Part 2. Comparative study of palladium and molybdenum containing chemical modifiers*

A comparative and systematic study has been carried out of the effects of palladium and molybdenum containing chemical modifiers, such as Pd + Rh, Pd + Pt, Pd + Ru, Pd + Rh + Pt, Pd + Rh + Ru, Mo + Pd, Mo + Rh, Mo + Ru and Mo + Pt and additionally tartaric acid (TA) as a reducing agent together with mixed modifiers for the thermal stabilization of Bi, In and Pb in a Zeeman electrothermal atomic absorption spectrometer (ETAAS). The effect of the mass ratios of the mixed modifier components on the maximum pretreatment temperature for the analytes has been determined. The modifier mixtures of Pd + Rh + Pt, Mo + Pd + TA and Mo + Pt + TA were found to be especially powerful for the determination of Bi, In and Pb. These mixed modifiers could increase the ashing temperatures of the analytes up to 1250–1400° C. They were applied to the determination of Bi and Pb in dissolved geological reference samples and accuracy and precision of the method were thereby enhanced. The percent relative error was decreased from 20.0 to 0.4 for Bi and from 10.5 to 0.3 for Pb, depending on the sample type. Kinetics of self-condensation of acetone over heterogeneous Ba(OH)2 and Sr(OH)2 catalysts

Catalytic performance of Ba(OH)₂ and Sr(OH)₂ in self-condensation of acetone was examined in the temperature range from 273 to 303 K. A kinetic model of second order with respect to acetone was used for interpretation of the results obtained for the diacetone alcohol formation.This revised version was published online in December 2005 with corrections to the Cover Date.     

Catalytic degradation of polystyrene using HUSY catalysts

Summary The addition of carbon dioxide to phenyl glycidyl ether (PGE) was investigated in a semi-batch reactor using immobilized quaternary ammonium chloride catalysts. Five different catalysts were prepared with the following supports : (1) soluble poly(ST-<Emphasis Type=Italic>co</Emphasis>-VBC) [C1], (2) insoluble poly(ST-DVB-VBC) [C2], (3) macroporous poly(ST-DVB-VBC) [C3], (4) poly(ST-<Emphasis Type=Italic>co</Emphasis>-VBC)-MMT [C4] (5) modified MCM-41 [C5]. The addition of carbon dioxide to PGE can be considered as a pseudo-first order process with respect to the concentration of PGE. The pseudo-first order rate constant for the catalysts decreased in the series C1&gt;C3&gt;C2&gt;C4&gt;C5. The activation energy for C1 to C5 catalysts was 8.6, 20.9, 19.9, 23.9, and 26.8 kJ/mol, respectively. The immobilized catalysts can be reused in least 4 successive runs without any considerable loss of their initial reactivities.     

用钛系载体高效催化剂进行乙烯-丙烯-1-丁烯三元共聚合的研究 Ⅰ.聚合条件对共聚合反应的影响

用多组份改性钛系载体催化剂TiCl_4,Ti(OBu)_4/MgCl_2/Ethylbenzeate(EB)/φ_2SiCl_2/AlEt_3进行了乙烯-丙烯-1-丁烯三元共聚合的研究。考察了单体进料比、聚合温度,烷基铝浓度和催化剂浓度等条件对共聚合的影响。发现本催化剂对乙丙丁三元共聚合有极高的催化效率,聚合1h达8.6×10~4g共聚物/g-Ti。共聚合速率衰减符合动力学方程:R_s=R_s+(R_0—R_s)_e~(βs)。

Oscillating autoxidation reaction of p-xylene in the liquid phase, catalyzed by metal oxides

Oscillatory reaction was observed during liquid-phase oxidation of p-xylene in the presence of certain transition metal oxides as catalysts. Experimental conditions under which oscillations occur and parameters influencing this behavior are described.
