A numerical simulation model for laminar flow of nanofluids in a pipe with constant heat flux at the wall has been built to study the effect of Reynolds number on heat transfer and pressure loss. The investigation was performed for metallic oxide and multi-oxide nanoparticles suspended in water. The thermal conductivity and dynamic viscosity were measured for a range of temperature (10–60 °C) and volume fraction of multi-oxide nanofluid. Comparison of the thermal conductivity for monocular oxide and multi-oxide nanofluids reveals a new way to control the enhancement in nanofluid conductivity. The numerical results obtained were compared with existing well-established correlations. The predictions of the Nusselt number for nanofluids are in agreement with the Shah correlation, and the deviation in the results is less than 1 %. It is found that the pressure loss increases with the Reynolds number, nanoparticle density, and volume fraction for multi-oxide nanoparticles. However, the flow demonstrates enhancement in heat transfer which improves with increasing Reynolds number of the flow.  相似文献

A passively mode-locked, bismuth–erbium-co-doped fiber (Bi-EDF) with a pulse width of 460 fs is proposed and demonstrated. A highly doped, 180-cm Bi-EDF with an erbium concentration of 3,250 ppm/wt and an absorption rate of 133 dB/m at 1,530 nm serves as the gain medium. The cavity is 11.6 m long with an overall group velocity dispersion of +0.063 ps2. The output pulses have a repetition rate, average output power, pulse energy and peak power of 11.18 MHz, 5 mW, 448 pJ and 1 kW, respectively. The system has a high beam quality and a narrow pulse width output in the L-band region.  相似文献

pi-pi Stacking interactions between electron deficient naphthalenediimides (NDI) and electron-rich porphyrins (POR) leading to charge transfer are shown to be prevalent in linked NDI-POR and POR-NDI-POR structures. For flexibly-linked systems, intramolecular interactions lead to S-shaped foldamers in solution, whereas intermolecular association is predominant in more rigid systems. The foldamer structures can be interrupted by competing aromatic solvents, by six-coordination of metallated porphyrin derivatives, by protonation of the free base porphyrin in non-metallated structures, and in facially sterically hindered porphyrins.  相似文献

The preparation of mono- and multifilament sutures incorporating ibuprofen as an anti-inflammatory agent is considered. Poly(p-dioxanone) monofilament samples can be loaded by a molecular diffusion process using a swelling agent such as dichloromethane. The mechanical properties have been measured and have not shown a significant change for the ibuprofen loaded samples in knot tensile assays. The kinetics of both the loading process and the release in a S?rensen's medium at 37 degrees C have been investigated. Diffusion coefficients have also been estimated from film and slab poly(p-dioxanone) samples containing ibuprofen and their release behavior compared to that shown by monofilaments. Release from a coating copolymer based on lactide, epsilon-caprolactone and trimethylene carbonate (PLA/PCA/PTMC 10/60/30) has also been studied. This coating solubilizes ibuprofen molecules well and can be used for braided sutures or when a rapid dose of ibuprofen is preferred.  相似文献

We compute the threshold-resummed cross section for pseudo-scalar MSSM Higgs boson production by gluon fusion at hadron colliders. The calculation is performed at next-to-next-to leading logarithmic accuracy. We present results for both the LHC and Tevatron Run II. We analyze the factorization and renormalization scale dependence of the results, finding that after performing the resummation the corresponding cross section can be computed with an accuracy better than 10%.  相似文献
