Due to their low radioactivity background, underground salt mines spaces offer a unique possibility for speleotherapy use. The knowledge of radon concentration levels in such underground environments is essential for therapeutic purposes of different respiratory and rheumatic diseases. In order to develop speleotherapy in Romania, this paper presents the results of an indoor radon concentration levels survey in some salt mines in Romania. The survey was carried out using radon monitor Pylon AB-5 system methodology validated by a CIS-P5M system. In order to investigate whether differences in depth and microclimate parameters translate into significant differences in salt mine indoor radon concentrations, have been chosen three salts mine test sites placed in the Northern part of Romania (Turda, Cacica and Ocna Dej) in stable areas of the mining field at 32?C120?m depth. Environmental microclimate conditions (mean values of air temperature 10?C14.5?°C, air humidity 65?C80%, air velocity 0.2?m/s saline aerosols and low microbial factors) have anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory properties and recognized therapeutically effects on human body??s health. Air temperature is one of the most important factors which need to be considered when carrying out a survey of indoor radon concentrations in salt mines because temperature largely determines close spaces ventilation rates, and ventilation habits are known to have significant effects on indoor radon concentrations. The analyzed environmental conditions and recorded low levels of indoor mean radon concentration (6.9?±?0.39 and 96.5?±?4.76?Bq/m3) demonstrated the best suitability of the investigated three salt mines in Romania for speleotherapeutic applications.  相似文献

For the Kuramoto–Sivashinsky equation with L-periodic boundary conditions we show that the radius of space analyticity on the global attractor is lower-semicontinuous function at the stationary solutions, and thereby deduce the existence of a neighborhood in the global attractor of the set of all stationary solutions in which the radius of analyticity is independent of the bifurcation parameter L. As an application of the result, we prove that the number of rapid spatial oscillations of functions belonging to this neighborhood is, up to a logarithmic correction, at most linear in L.  相似文献

Various Meir–Keeler-type conditions for mappings acting in abstract metric spaces are presented and their connections are discussed. Results about associated symmetric spaces, obtained in [S. Radenovi?, Z. Kadelburg, Quasi-contractions on symmetric and cone symmetric spaces, Banach J. Math. Anal. 5 (2011), 38–50] are used to show that the regularity condition for the underlying cone can be dropped in some fixed point results that have appeared recently.  相似文献

It is shown that the multiplicative monoids of Temperley-Lieb algebras are isomorphic to monoids of endomorphisms in categories where an endofunctor is adjoint to itself. Such a self-adjunction is found in a category whose arrows are matrices, and the functor adjoint to itself is based on the Kronecker product of matrices. This self-adjunction underlies the orthogonal group case of Brauer's representation of the Brauer centralizer algebras.  相似文献

Pure [Cu(XeF2)2](SbF6)2 was prepared by the reaction of Cu(SbF 6) 2 with a stoichiometric amount of XeF2 in anhydrous hydrogen fluoride (aHF) at ambient temperature. The reaction between Cu(SbF6)2 and XeF2 (1:4 molar ratio) in aHF yielded [Cu(XeF2)4](SbF6)2 contaminated with traces of Xe 2F 3SbF6 and CuF2. The 6-fold coordination of Cu(2+) in [Cu(XeF2)2](SbF6)2 includes two fluorine atoms from two XeF2 ligands and four fluorine atoms provided by four [SbF6](-) anions. The neighboring [Cu(XeF 2)2](2+) moieties are connected via two [SbF6] units, with the bridging fluorine atoms in cis positions, into infinite [Cu(eta(1)-XeF2)2](cis-eta(2)-SbF 6)2[Cu(eta(1)-XeF 2)2] chains. Because of the high electron affinity of Cu(2+), coordinated XeF2 shows the highest distortion (Xe-Fb=210.2(5) pm, Xe-Ft=190.6(5) pm) observed so far among all known [M(x+)(XeF2)n](A)x (A=BF4, PF6, etc.) complexes. The four equatorial coordination sites of the Cu(2+) ion in [Cu(XeF 2) 4](SbF6)2 are occupied by four XeF 2 ligands. Two fluorine atoms belonging to two [SbF6] units complete the Cu (2+) coordination environment. The neighboring [Cu(XeF2)4](2+) species are linked via one [SbF6] unit, with bridging fluorine atoms in trans positions, into linear infinite [Cu(eta(1)-XeF2)4](trans-eta(2)-SbF6)[Cu(eta(1)-XeF2)4] chains. To compensate for the remaining positive charge, crystallographically independent [SbF6](-) anions are located between the chains and are fixed in the crystal space by weak Xe...F(Sb) interactions.  相似文献

Zeolite-based monoliths (Cu/ZSM-5 on cordierite) are prepared and used to catalyze direct decomposition of nitrogen monoxide. Two-dimensional heterogeneous model is applied to describe the behavior of the monolith reactor, with the emphasis on the features introduced due to coupling of flow, mass transfer and chemical reaction. The proposed model has been verified by comparing computer simulation data with laboratory experimental data. It is shown that both inter- and intraphase diffusion limitations have to be considered when modeling complex reactor configuration, such as monolith reactors, especially when monolith with thicker catalytic layer are used at higher temperatures.  相似文献

Establishing structure–activity relationships in complex, hierarchically structured nanomaterials, such as fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) catalysts, requires characterization with complementary, correlated analysis techniques. An integrated setup has been developed to perform transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and single‐molecule fluorescence (SMF) microscopy on such nanostructured samples. Correlated structure–reactivity information was obtained for 100 nm thin, microtomed sections of a single FCC catalyst particle using this novel SMF‐TEM high‐resolution combination. High reactivity in a thiophene oligomerization probe reaction correlated well with TEM‐derived zeolite locations, while matrix components, such as clay and amorphous binder material, were found not to display activity. Differences in fluorescence intensity were also observed within and between distinct zeolite aggregate domains, indicating that not all zeolite domains are equally active.  相似文献

We investigate a family of polytopes introduced by E.M. Feichtner, A. Postnikov and B. Sturmfels, which were named nestohedra. The vertices of these polytopes may intuitively be understood as constructions of hypergraphs. Limit cases in this family of polytopes are, on the one end, simplices, and, on the other end, permutohedra. In between, as notable members one finds associahedra and cyclohedra. The polytopes in this family are investigated here both as abstract polytopes and as realized in Euclidean spaces of all finite dimensions. The later realizations are inspired by J.D. Stasheff ?s and S. Shnider?s realizations of associahedra. In these realizations, passing from simplices to permutohedra, via associahedra, cyclohedra and other interesting polytopes, involves truncating vertices, edges and other faces. The results presented here reformulate, systematize and extend previously obtained results, and in particular those concerning polytopes based on constructions of graphs, which were introduced by M. Carr and S.L. Devadoss.  相似文献
