级联三能级介质中非线性光学信号的增强

揭示非最大相干可能比最大相干产生更有效的非线性频率转换. 为此以三能级级联系统(没有最大相干)为例计算其非线性光学信号的强度, 并与三能级Λ型系统(具有最大相干)进行比较. 利用非微扰方法计算表明, 在双光子共振和相同参数的条件下, 级联系统产生的非线性光学信号的最大强度约是Λ系统的两倍. 利用缀饰态表象分析表明, 两个系统中耦合跃迁的自发辐射及其介入的不可逆三光子过程具有相反的作用. 它们在级联系统中加强非线性转换, 而在Λ系统中削弱非线性转换. 关键词： 电磁感应透明 非线性光学过程 双光子共振     

空气/水界面水分子的取向和运动

对四种不同的实验构型下空气／水界面自由O-H键在3700cm~(-1)的和频振动光谱的分析表明,水分子在空气／水界面的取向运动只可能是在平衡位置附近有限角度之内的受限转动。界面水分子的自由O-H键取向距界面法线约33°,而取向分布或运动的宽度不超过15°。这一图像显著地不同于Wei等人(Phys. Rev. Lett.86,4799(2001))只通过单一的SFG实验构型所得出结论,即：空气／水界面的水分子在超快的振动弛豫时间内在很大的角度范围内运动。     

Speech emotion recognition based on statistical pitch model

A modified Parzen-window method, which keep high resolution in low frequencies and keep smoothness in high frequencies, is proposed to obtain statistical model. Then, a gender classification method utilizing the statistical model is proposed, which have a 98% accuracy of gender classification while long sentence is dealt with. By separation the male voice and female voice, the mean and standard deviation of speech training samples with different emotion are used to create the corresponding emotion models. Then the Bhattacharyya distance between the test sample and statistical models of pitch, are utilized for emotion recognition in speech. The normalization of pitch for the male voice and female voice are also considered, in order to illustrate them into a uniform space. Finally, the speech emotion recognition experiment based on K Nearest Neighbor shows that, the correct rate of 81% is achieved, where it is only 73.85% if the traditional parameters are utilized.

A characterization of projective-planar signed graphs

A signed graph has a plus or minus sign on each edge. A simple cycle is positive or negative depending on whether it contains an even or odd number of negative edges, respectively. We consider embeddings of a signed graph in the projective plane for which a simple cycle is essential if and only if it is negative. We characterize those signed graphs that have such a projective-planar embedding. Our characterization is in terms of a related signed graph formed by considering the theta subgraphs in the given graph.     

Synthesis of New 13-O-Acylavermectin Bl Aglycones

Six new 13-O-acylavermectin Bl aglycones(3-8) were synthesized from avermectin B1 aglycone and their bioactivities were evaluated against Spodoptera exigua, Spodoptera eridania, Tetranychus urticae and Aphis fabae.     

On the identification of degenerate indices in the nonlinear complementarity problem with the proximal point algorithm

In this paper we focus on the problem of identifying the index sets P(x):=i|x_i>0, N(x):={i|F_i(x)>0 and C(x):=i|x_i=F_i(x)=0} for a solution x of the monotone nonlinear complementarity problem NCP(F). The correct identification of these sets is important from both theoretical and practical points of view. Such an identification enables us to remove complementarity conditions from the NCP and locally reduce the NCP to a system which can be dealt with more easily. We present a new technique that utilizes a sequence generated by the proximal point algorithm (PPA). Lang maps and Harris’s conjecture

We show that any variety in characteristic 0 possesses a universal dominant rational map, which we callthe Lang map, to a variety of general type. We discuss a conjecture of J. Harris regarding the relation between rational points and Lang maps. Partially supported by NSF grant DMS-9503276.     

Chemical synthesis and electric properties of the conducting copolymer of aniline and o‐aminophenol

A copolymer, poly(aniline‐co‐o‐aminophenol), was prepared chemically by using ammonium peroxydisulfate as an oxidant. The monomer concentration ratio of o‐aminophenol to aniline strongly influences the copolymerization rate and properties of the copolymer. The optimum composition of a mixture for the chemical copolymerization consisted of 0.3 M aniline, 0.021 M o‐aminophenol, 0.42 M ammonium peroxydisulfate, and 2 M H₂SO₄. The result of cyclic voltammograms in a potential region of ?0.20 to 0.80 V (vs.SCE) indicates that the electrochemical activity of the copolymer prepared under the optimum condition is similar to that of polyaniline in more acid solutions. However, the copolymer still holds the good electrochemical activity until pH 11.0. Therefore, the pH dependence of the electrochemical property of the copolymer is improved, compared with poly(aniline‐co‐o‐aminophenol) prepared electrochemically, and is much better than that of polyaniline. The spectra of IR and ¹H NMR confirm that o‐aminophenol units are included in the copolymer chain, which play a key role in extending the usable pH region of the copolymer. The visible spectra of the copolymers show that a high concentration ratio of o‐aminophenol to aniline in a mixture inhibits the chain growth. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
