Systematical Synthesis of Distamycin Analogues and Their Interaction with Herring Sperm DNA

A simple procedure for the systematical synthesis of eight distamycin analogues containing N‐methylpyrrole (Py) and N‐methylimidazole (Im) has been developed by a chloroform reaction and DCC coupling reaction without amino protection and deprotection, and the interaction of the analogues with Herring Sperm DNA was investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy.     

Isolation, chemical and biological characterization of margaratensin, a neurotensin-related peptide from the skin of Rana margaratae

A new neurotensin (NT)-related peptide, margaratensin, was obtained by Sep-Pak C18 and RP-HPLC from methanol extracts of the skin of Chinese frog Rana margaratae. The structure of the peptide has been determined to be Asp-Lys-Arg-Pro-Tyr-Ile-Leu-His-Glu, which is found to be homologous to the COOH-terminal sequence of NT, but has an extra His-Glu at the COOH-terminus. The synthetic preparation was shown to be indistinguishable from the native peptide during HPLC, amino acid analysis and bioassay. Margaratensin exhibited a hypotensive effect in the rat but the response was weaker than NT. The peptide could induce a potent and reproducible contractile activity on GPI which was different from xenopsin, another NT-related peptide from amphibian skin.     

The constitutive equation resemblance of elastic — Plastic multiphase solid

Based on composite materials, the equivalent elastic-plastic constitutive equations of multiphase solid are researched. According to the suggested definition of constitutive equivalence it is demonstrated that the multiphase solid, composed of several kinds of homogeneous elastic-plastic media that conform to the generalized normality rule, has the same type of constitutive equations as its constituents have that also conform to the generalized normality rule.     

氚核磁共振波谱在氚标记甾族化合物制备中的应用

本文介绍了十一种氚化甾族化合物的氚核磁共振谱。我们依照英国放化中心和英国萨里大学报道数据,(甾体骨架上的CH及CH_2各位置的谱线归属,应用了定位标记化合物作为对照)归属了其氚在化合物中标记的位置,根据其积分曲线定出了各位氚的相对百分含量。同时图谱中又提供了立体构型的信息,为氚化甾族化合物制备过程中,催化剂的选择,实验条件的控制及反应机理等研究提供了理论依据。     

Sol-Gel Distribution of Polycondensation Reaction

A theoretical approach to polycondensation reaction of Aa-Bb type Involving intramolecular cycllzatlon has been proposed by Tang Au-chin et al.. In this paper, the theoretical sol-gel distribution is tested by polycondensation of adipic acid with trimethylol propane in a sto-ichiometric ratio of 0. 8, and the effect of intramolecular cyclization is discussed in detail.     

The scheduling of deliveries in a production-distribution system with multiple buyers

In a real production and distribution business environment with one supplier and multiple heterogeneous buyers, the differences in buyers’ ordering cycles have influence on production arrangements. Consequently, the average inventory level (AIL) at the supplier’s end is affected by both the production policy and the ordering policy, typically by the scheduling of deliveries. Consequently, the average inventory holding cost is most deeply affected. In this paper, it is proposed that the scheduling of deliveries be formulated as a decision problem to determine the time point at which deliveries are made to buyers in order to minimize the supplier’s average inventory. A formulation of the average inventory level (AIL) in a production cycle at the supplier’s end using a lot-for-lot policy is developed. Under the lot-for-lot policy, the scheduling of deliveries (SP) is formulated as a nonlinear programming model used to determine the first delivery point for each buyer with an objective to minimize the sum of the product of the individual demand quantity and the first delivery time for each buyer. Thus, the SP model determines not only the sequence of the first deliveries to individual buyers, but also the time when the deliveries are made. An iterative heuristic procedure (IHP) is developed to solve the SP model assuming a given sequence of buyers. Six sequence rules are considered and evaluated via simulation.

Bioinspired polymer functionalized with a diiron carbonyl model complex and its assembly onto the surface of a gold electrode via “click” chemistry

A complex pendant with two ethynyl groups, [Fe₂(μ‐SCH₂CCH)₂(CO)₆] ( 2 ), as a model of the diiron subunit of [FeFe]‐hydrogenase was polymerized and the {Fe₂(CO)₆} core was successfully incorporated into the polymer matrix. The polymer was characterized by a variety of spectroscopic techniques, TGA, FTIR, SEM, TEM, and NMR. The resultant polymer was immobilized via “click” chemistry using its terminal C?CH bond onto the surface of a gold electrode, which was premodified with azidothiol by self‐assembled monolayer (SAM). Poly(N‐vinylcarbazole) chemically modified graphene oxide

A new soluble donor‐acceptor type poly(N‐vinylcarbazole)‐covalently functionalized graphene oxide (GO‐PVK) has been synthesized by reaction of DDAT (S‐1‐dodecyl‐S′‐(α,α′‐dimethyl‐α″‐aceticacid)trithiocarbonate)‐PVK with GO‐toluene‐2,4‐diisocynate. The incorporation of sufficient amount of PVK chains makes the modified GO nanosheets readily dispersible in organic solvents. The resulting material exhibits an enhanced solubility of 10 mg/mL in organic solvents. Covalent grafting of PVK onto the edge and surface of GO nanosheets did not change the carbazole absorption in the ultraviolet region, but substantially reduced the absorption intensity of GO in the visible region. The intensity of the emission band of GO‐PVK at 437 nm was a little bit quenched when compared with that of DDAT‐PVK, suggesting intramolecular quenching from PVK to GO. Such intramolecular quenching process may involve energy or electron transfer between the excited singlet states of the PVK moiety and the GO moiety. The HOMO/LUMO values and the energy bandgap of GO‐PVK experimentally estimated by the onset of the redox potentials are ?5.60, ?3.58, and 2.02 eV, respectively. © 2010 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
