The absorption, fluorescence, and excitation spectra of two cation-anionic dyes with simple structures, which have the identical anions and variable cations, were studied in weakly polar and nonpolar solvents as well as in binary mixtures of solvents with different polarity. Under these conditions heterogeneous fluorescent aggregates were found at 20 °C. The solid-state thermal decomposition of the dinuclear pivalate complexes LM(μ-OOCR)4ML, both those synthesized earlier (M = MnII, FeII, or CoII; L = 2,6-(NH2)2C5H3N)) and new complexes (M = CuII; L = 2,6-(NH2)2C5H3N or (2-NH2)(6-CH3)C5H3N), was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetry. A diclofenacselective electrode with a plasticized poly(vinyl chloride) membrane containing an ion associate of diclofenac with Astrafloxin FF as an electrode-active substance was developed. The linearity range of the electrode function varied from 5 × 10?5 to 5 × 10?2 M; the slope of the electrode function was 59.0 ± 1.2 mV/pc, and the working pH range was 9–12. The accumulation dynamics of cellulolytic enzymes in culture media of the basidiomycete fungi Panus tigrinus, Pleurotus ostreatus, Fomes fomentarus, and the micromycete Aspergillus terreus were studied during a long incubation period. It was found that A. terreus was the most active producer of cellulolytic enzymes among the studied fungi. Two protein fractions with cellulase activity
were isolated using gel filtration and ion-exchange chromatography. PAAG electrophoresis showed that fraction-I consisted
of four components; fraction-II, an electrophoretically homogeneous protein.

LaM 3 I CrMnO6 (MI = Li, Na) and LaM 3 II CrMnO7.5 (MII = Mg, Ca) chromitomanganites were synthesized by ceramic technology from lanthanum oxide, chromium(III) oxide, manganese(III) oxide, lithium carbonate, sodium carbonate, magnesium carbonate, and calcium carbonate. Phase relations have been studied for the subsolidus region of the Dy2O3-HfO2-MoO3 system; binary molybdates, Dy2Hf(MoO4)5 and Dy2Hf2(MoO4)7, were found to form. The crystal structure of the latter has been solved (a = 20.661(3) , b = 9.816(1) , c = 13.796(3) , = 113.47(1)°, Z = 4, space group C2/c, R = 0.023) and found to be a new type of structure. In the structure, MoO4 tetrahedra are linked by their vertices with HfO6 octahedra and DyO8 tetragonal antiprisms to form a 3D open-work, in which one can isolate double-row tetrahedral and octahedral chains extended down the c axis.Original Russian Text Copyright © 2004 by S.
