We present measurements of the solar neutrino capture rate on metallic gallium in the Soviet-American gallium experiment (SAGE) over a period of slightly more than half the 22-year solar cycle. A combined analysis of 92 runs over the twelve-year period from January 1990 until December 2001 yields a capture rate of 70.8 ?5.2 +5.3 (stat) ?3.2 +3.7 (sys) SNU for solar neutrinos with energies above 0.233 MeV. This value is slightly more than half the rate predicted by the standard solar model, 130 SNU. We present the results of new runs since April 1998 and analyze all runs combined by years, months, and bimonthly periods beginning in 1990. A simple analysis of the SAGE results together with the results of other solar neutrino experiments gives an estimate of (4.6±1.2)× 1010 neutrinos cm?2 s?1 for the flux of the electron pp neutrinos that reach the Earth without changing their flavor. The flux of the pp neutrinos produced in thermonuclear reactions in the Sun is estimated to be (7.6 ± 2.0) × 1010 neutrinos cm?2 s?1, in agreement with the value of (5.95±0.06)×1010 neutrinos cm?2 s?1 predicted by the standard solar model.  相似文献

The production of neutrinos with energies higher than 0.1 GeV in the solar atmosphere during solar flares is discussed. Neutrinos and muons are generated in decays of π+- mesons produced in nuclear interactions of accelerated solar flare protons with matter of the Sun. Muons themselves decay yielding neutrinos. These neutrinos could come to the Earth and be detected with neutrino telescopes. Estimations of fluxes of such neutrinos are given.  相似文献

This paper reports on the results of measurements performed in the course of the ATIC-2 balloon experiment (2002–2003) for the energy spectra of particles (such as protons; He, C, O, Ne, Mg, Si, and Fe nuclei; and some groups of nuclei) and the all-particle energy spectrum in primary cosmic rays at energies ranging from 50 GeV to 200 TeV. The conclusion is drawn that the energy spectra of protons and helium nuclei differ substantially (the spectrum of protons is steeper) and that the shape of the energy spectra of protons and heavy nuclei cannot be described by a power function.  相似文献

The latest results of studies of the gamma-ray spectra recorded together with charged particles in the Russian-Nippon Joint Balloon (RUNJOB) experiment are presented. A comparison of the experimental spectra with the results of the calculations based on assumptions of different intensities of the gamma-ray spectra demonstrates that the previously published intensities of primary cosmic rays measured in the RUNJOB experiments are underestimated.  相似文献

The effect of high doses on p-and n-type silicon samples implanted with Fe+ ions under steady-state conditions (implantation energy, 100 keV; ion current density, 0.6–0.8 μA/cm2; irradiation dose, 1014–1016 ions/cm2) is investigated using Si L 2, 3 x-ray emission spectroscopy (the 3d3s → 2p electronic transition). An analysis of the Si L x-ray emission spectra of the silicon samples is performed by comparison with the spectra of reference materials and the spectra of silicon samples implanted with Fe+ ions in a pulsed mode. The Si L x-ray emission spectra are simulated by the molecular dynamics and full-potential linearized augmented-plane-wave (FLAPW) methods. It is revealed that the effect of high doses under steady-state conditions of Fe+ ion implantation into the semiconductor crystal matrix exhibits specific features: the disordering of the structure and partial amorphization of the sample from the surface deep into the bulk are more pronounced than those observed under conditions of pulsed ion implantation, although virtually no recrystallization of the sample at the threshold dose occurs. The most probable origins and mechanisms of the effect of high doses on the samples under investigation are discussed.  相似文献

This paper deals with the photoemission activity of radiation defects in crystalline and vitreous silica. Spectral and kinetic parameters and the concentration of defects in the surface layer and the bulk of the material were determined. Some features of the distribution of radiation-induced defects along the depth of samples having different degrees of order were analyzed. Regularities of relaxation of excited states of emission centers suggested that thermally activated processes were involved in the release of electrons.  相似文献
