Thermodynamic properties of several lattice hard-sphere models were obtained from grand canonical histogram- reweighting Monte Carlo simulations. Sphere centers occupy positions on a simple cubic lattice of unit spacing and exclude neighboring sites up to a distance sigma. The nearestneighbor exclusion model, sigma = radical2, was previously found to have a second-order transition. Models with integer values of sigma = 1 or 2 do not have any transitions. Models with sigma = radical3 and sigma = 3 have weak first-order fluid-solid transitions while those with sigma = 2 radical2, 2 radical3, and 3 radical2 have strong fluid-solid transitions. Pressure, chemical potential, and density are reported for all models and compared to the results for the continuum, theoretical predictions, and prior simulations when available.  相似文献

A new, highly sensitive, fast responding and stable potentiometric biosensor for creatinine determination is developed. The biosensor is based on an ammonium ion-selective electrode. Creatinine deiminase (EC 3.5.4.21) is chemically immobilized on the surface of the polymeric ion-sensitive membrane in the form of monomolecular layer using a simple, one-step carbodiimide covalent attachment method. The resulting enzyme electrodes are useful for measurement under flow injection analysis (FIA) conditions. The biosensors exhibit excellent operational and storage stability. The enzyme electrodes retain over 70% of initial sensitivity after ten weeks of work under FIA conditions. The storage stability at 4 °C is longer than half a year without loss of sensitivity. Under optimized conditions near 30 samples per hour can be analyzed and the determination range (0.02-20.0 mmol l−1) fully covers creatinine concentrations important from clinical and biomedical point of view. The simple biosensor/FIA system has been successfully used for determination of creatinine in urine, serum and posthemodialysate samples.  相似文献

Polyacrylamide capillary gels were prepared with constant (5% C) cross-linker concentration and with total acrylamide concentration ranging from 2.5 to 6% T. At each acrylamide concentration, peak spacing was constant for DNA sequencing fragments ranging from 25 to 250 nucleotides in length. Peak spacing increased linearly with the total acrylamide concentration. The intercept of the retention time vs. fragment length plot was independent of % T. Ferguson plots were constructed for short DNA fragments; the polyacrylamide pore size falls in the 2.5 to 3.5 nm range for the gels studied. Theoretical plate count is independent of total acrylamide concentration; longitudinal diffusion, and not thermal gradients, limit the plate count. A phenomenological model is presented that predicts retention time, plate count, and resolution for sequencing fragments ranging in size from 25 to 250 bases and gels that range from 2.5 to 6% total acrylamide.  相似文献

Reaction of 2,3,3-trimethyl-and 2,3,3,5-tetramethyl-3H-indole hydrochlorides with methacrylic and crotonic amides gives 3- and 4-methyl-1,2,3,4,10,10a-hexahydropyrimido[1,2-a]indol-2-ones. With perchloric acid these are converted to 1-carbamoylpropyl-3H-indolium perchlorates. A quartz crystal microbalance has been proposed for studies on the temperature dependence of the linear rate of a reaction interface advance in topochemical reactions of the thermal decomposition of solids. A quartz crystal microbalance has been used in investigations of the CuSO4 · 5H2O dehydration. The data agree fairly well with those available in the literature. Advantages and disadvantages of the method proposed are discussed.  相似文献

The double-T injector design employed in many microchip capillary electrophoresis devices allows for the formation of very small (50-500 pL) sample plugs for subsequent analysis on-chip. In this study, we show that sample plugs formed at the channel junction can be geometrically defined. The channel width and injector symmetry prove to be of great importance to good performance. A unique pushback of solvent into the side channels can be induced when the side channels have a very low resistance to flow, and this helps to better define the injected sample plug. Samples and running buffers of differing ionic strength (e.g., 10 mM KCl buffer and 20 mM KCl sample) can yield widely variable results in terms of plug shape and amount injected (variations of 1.5 to 10x). Applying bias voltages to all the intersecting channels aids in controlling the plug shape. However, when the ionic strengths of buffer and sample are not matched, the actual amount injected (up to 10x variations) can be inconsistent with the appearance of the plug formed in the injector (up to only 30 % variations). Operating at constant pH and ionic strength produced the most consistent results. This report examines the effects of altering the injector geometry and solution ionic strengths, and presents the results of using bias voltages to control plug formation. The observed results should provide a benchmark for modeling of the fluid dynamics in channel intersections.  相似文献

In the framework of the instantaneous Bethe Salpeter equation we investigate weak decays ofB andD mesons. Mesons are described asq $\bar q$ states interacting via a mixture of a scalar and a vector confining kernel and a one gluon exchange. The model parameters are fixed by a fit to the meson mass spectrum including also the light mesons. We calculate form factors and compare our results to the pole dominance hypothesis. From a fit to ARGUS and CLEO data onBD *?v semileptonic decay we extract the Cabbibo Kobayashi Maskawa matrix element to beV cb =(0.032 ± 0.003)(1.49ps b )1/2 The Isgur Wise function is calculated utilizing the heavy quark mass limit. Finally, we give some results on nonleptonic decays.  相似文献
