In this research, we have used vibrational spectroscopy to study the phosphate mineral kosnarite KZr2(PO4)3. Interest in this mineral rests with the ability of zirconium phosphates (ZP) to lock in radioactive elements. ZP have the capacity to concentrate and immobilize the actinide fraction of radioactive phases in homogeneous zirconium phosphate phases. The Raman spectrum of kosnarite is characterized by a very intense band at 1,026?cm?1 assigned to the symmetric stretching vibration of the PO4 3? ??1 symmetric stretching vibration. The series of bands at 561, 595 and 638?cm?1 are assigned to the ??4 out-of-plane bending modes of the PO4 3? units. The intense band at 437?cm?1 with other bands of lower wavenumber at 387, 405 and 421?cm?1 is assigned to the ??2 in-plane bending modes of the PO4 3? units. The number of bands in the antisymmetric stretching region supports the concept that the symmetry of the phosphate anion in the kosnarite structure is preserved. The width of the infrared spectral profile and its complexity in contrast to the well-resolved Raman spectrum show that the pegmatitic phosphates are better studied with Raman spectroscopy.  相似文献

Some minerals are colloidal and show no X-ray diffraction patterns. Vibrational spectroscopy offers one of the few methods for the determination of the structure of these minerals. Among this group of minerals is pitticite, simply described as (Fe, AsO(4), SO(4), H(2)O). In this work, the analogue of the mineral pitticite has been synthesised. The objective of this research is to determine the molecular structure of the mineral pitticite using vibrational spectroscopy. Raman and infrared bands are attributed to the AsO(4)(3-), SO(4)(2-) and water stretching and bending vibrations. The Raman spectrum of the pitticite analogue shows intense peaks at 845 and 837cm(-1) assigned to the AsO(4)(3-) stretching vibrations. Raman bands at 1096 and 1182cm(-1) are attributed to the SO(4)(2-) antisymmetric stretching bands. Raman spectroscopy offers a useful method for the analysis of such colloidal minerals.  相似文献

A simple and efficient procedure for the industrial preparation of akebia saponin D, one of the bioactive compounds commonly found in the well-known Chinese Medicinal herb Dipsaci Radix, was developed. First, HPD-722 was selected from among 10 kinds of macroporous absorption resins. Following this step, the purity of akebia saponin D was increased about 10 times from 6.27% to 59.41%. In order to achieve a higher purity, ADS-7 was chosen from among five kinds of macroporous absorption resins, and the purity of akebia saponin D was increased from 59.41% to 95.05%. The result indicated HPD-722 and ADS-7 were the most suitable resins to purify akebia saponin D from Dipsaci Radix. Under these conditions, large-scale preparation of akebia saponin D was carried out successfully. The preparation method is simple, efficient, and has been demonstrated to be effective for large scale preparations of akebia saponin D from Dipsaci Radix.  相似文献

This study investigated the commercially available zero-valent copper powder and copper foil to activate molecular oxygen (O2) and ozone for the degradation of organic pollutants. Under aerobic atmospheric conditions, copper powder effectively removed 50 mg/L of acetaminophen (ACT) within 2 h, though the degradation rate using the foil was less than 20% of the powder. However, copper foil activated ozone to effectively degrade ACT. The total organic carbon (TOC) removal reached a high of 58.3% at a catalyst concentration of 40 g/L, but only 26.8% with ozone alone. The initial solution pH and dosage of copper foil were key operational parameters affecting the ozone activation process. H2O2 and Cu(I) were important intermediates in the process as hydroxyl radicals (·OH) were identified via EPR (electron paramagnetic resonance) experiments and free radical scavengers. The generation of ·OH was attributed to a Fenton-like reaction between Cu(I) and H2O2; this free-radical generation mechanism differs from typical transition metal oxide catalysts. This study outlines a promising approach to significantly increase the generation of ·OH and effectively remove refractory organic compounds. Furthermore, these copper products are applied in structural components of practical water treatment. Thus, the study of corrosion resistance to oxygen and ozone in aqueous solution have both a practical and theoretical significance. It was determined that copper products were resistant to oxygen corrosion in aqueous solution, but not resistant to ozone corrosion.  相似文献
