We numerically investigate the main constrains for high efficiency wavelength conversion of differential phase-shift keying (DPSK) signals based on four-wave mixing (FWM) in highly nonlinear fiber (HNLF). Using multi-tone pump phase modulation techniques, high efficiency wavelength conversion of DPSK signals is achieved with the stimulated BriIlouin scattering (SBS) effects effectively suppressed. Our analysis shows that there is a compromise between conversion efficiency and converted idler degradation. By optimizing the pump phase modulation configuration, the converted DPSK idler's degradation can be dramatically decreased through balancing SBS suppression and pump phase modulation degradation. Our simulation results also show that these multi-tone pump phase modulation techniques are more appropriate for the future high bit rate systems.  相似文献

A new class of fluorescent probe produced by conjugating semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) with protein molecule is proposed as an alternative to conventional organic labels. However the fluorescence characteristics of the QD bioconjugates are not clear while they are excitied with one- or two-photon laser pulse. We synthesized specific immunofluorescent probes by linking QDs to alpha fetoprotein (AFP) antibody for specific binding alpha-fetoprotein -an important marker for hepatocellular carcinoma cell lines, and archived specific fluorescence detection with the QDs-Anti-AFP in nude mice. Then, we have analyzed the fluorescence characteristics of QDs-Anti-AFP and original QDs both under one- and two-photon excitations. The results demonstrated that QDs-Anti-AFP's fluorescent spectral and lifetime haven't varied much from that of original QDs. Moreover, QDs-Anti-AFP have exhibited higher fluorescence efficiency than QDs under two-photon examination.  相似文献

This paper reports the measurement of relative complex dielectric constant of lost dielectric, by means of an automatic slotted-line system controlled with micro-computer IBM 80486 and by use of numerical method. The measuring principle, method, program and results are given. The measuring results shows that the way mentioned in this paper is successful, so it can be extended to MM-Wave band and other microwave band.  相似文献

Tuning electronic properties of metallic atom in bondage to a nanospace   总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4  
The possibility of modulating the electronic configurations of the innermost atoms inside a nanospace, nano sheath with chemical modification was investigated using synchrotron X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. Systems of definite nanostructures were chosen for this study. Systematic variations in energy, intensity, and width of pi and sigma O 1s core level spectra, in absorption characteristics of C 1s-->pi transition, in photoabsorption of pre-edge and resonance regions of the Gd 4d-->4f transition, were observed for Gd@C(82) (an isolated nanospace for Gd), Gd@C(82)(OH)(12) (a modified nanospace for Gd), and Gd@C(82)(OH)(22) (a differently modified nanospace for Gd), and the reference materials Gd-DTPA (a semi-closed space for Gd) and Gd(2)O(3). A sandwich-type electronic interaction along [outer modification group]-[nano sheaths]-[inner metallic atom] was observed in the molecules of modifications. This makes it possible to control electron-donation directions, either from the innermost metallic atom toward the outer nano sheaths or the reverse. The results suggest that one may effectively tune the fine structures of electronic configurations of such a metallic atom being astricted into nanostructures through changing the number or category of outer groups of chemical modifications. This may open a door to realizing the desired designs for electronic and magnetic properties of functionalized nanomaterials.  相似文献

The possible isomers of a newly synthesized C(141) molecule are calculated using MNDO, AM1, PM3, B3LYP/3-21G, and B3LYP/6-31G(d) methods. The geometry optimizations showed that the isomer 8-8 has the lowest total energy in all 64 possible structures of C(141). Unlike those of C(130), C(140), etc., the C(141) 8-8 shows a new structure: two C(70) side cages open [6.6] ring junctions located at the equator (instead of cap) area to create new chemical bonds for the bridge atom. Theoretical measurements of the average length of the long and short axes of C(70) side cages in the C(141) molecule reveal that when two C(70) cages are connected with each other at the equators, their geometric shapes become more spherical compared with the pristine C(70); this leads to a reduction of the molecular polarizability. Analysis of the local and global strain indicates that the global strain of C(70) monomer in the C(141) 8-8 is greatly reduced compared to the pristine C(70). The stable C(70) derivatives that are formed with reacted C-C bonds in the equator area may put new insights into fullerene chemistry, in particular, for C(70) to react with a large molecule. The results are discussed together with the experimental data.  相似文献
