Carleman problem for two pairs of functions in a ring

We consider a particular case of the matrix Carleman problem for two pairs of functions in a ring and find a constructive solution of this problem. In addition, we propose an algorithm for the construction of solutions for two infinite systems of smooth transition and for a system of two singular equations of special type. First‐principles calculations of Mössbauer hyperfine parameters for solids and large molecules

Electronic structure calculations based on density functional theory were performed for solids and large molecules. The solids were represented by clusters of 60–100 atoms embedded in the potential of the external crystal. Magnetic moments and Mössbauer hyperfine parameters were derived.     

Equilibrium distributions of stochastic networks without detailed balance

We present results for the determination of the equilibrium microstate probability distribution of a class of strongly interacting systems obeying stochastic dynamics but without the necessity of detailed balance. The specific case of Ising systems is highlighted, with applications to non-symmetric synaptic neural networks and more general recurrent Boolean networks.     

Exact solutions of a nonlinear sigma-model in a curved space and the theory of magnetically ordered media with variable saturation magnetization

Stationary solitons are found to occur in two-dimensional media with a variable saturation magnetization whose square is a harmonic function of the coordinates. It is shown in this case that the Landau-Lifshits equation can be reduced to the integrable O(3) sigma-model in curved space. Some properties of the solutions obtained are discussed. 硫酰胺的快速分析（Ⅱ） 

硫酰胺生产过程中副产的大量氯化铵要干扰硫酰胺的测定，采用四苯硼钠将全部氯化铵呈沉淀析出，再用次溴酸钠把滤液中的硫酰胺分解成氮气，测其体积，计算出硫酰胺的含量。对样品进行测定的结果表明，该法重现性好、准确度高、分析周期在３５ｍｉｎ内，相对误差在±１％以内。     

Input control in nonnegative matrix equations

In this paper we consider the nonnegative matrix system c_iA+u_iB=c_i+1 where the nonnegative matrix A is allowed to vary, within bounds. The cone control problem is to find a nonnegative matrix B such that if C_i is a nonnegative vector in a specified cone, then there is a nonnegative vector u_i such that c_i+1 is in that cone. We extend this problem to input control by finding a B such that the cone, generated by the rows of B, is as small as possible. Thus, the percent distribution of ∣u_iB∣ through the states of the sustem by u_iB is either constant or varies little.     

The kinetics of the (5 × 20) → (1 × 1) structural transition for Au(100)

The kinetics of the anion-induced (5 × 20) → (1 × 1) surface structural transition of reconstructed Au(100) electrodes was studied in sulfate-containing solutions by current transients. It is shown that lifting of the reconstruction follows a nucleation-and-growth type behavior which can be described by the Avrami equation. Moreover, for high positive potentials, i.e., high anion coverages, the current-transient analysis reveals instantaneous nucleation, whereas for low transition overpotentials and long transition times a mechanism with constant transition rate prevails. Apparent activation energies, which depend strongly on the electrode potential, are derived from the temperature dependence of the Avrami plots.
