Low-mode tomography of inhomogeneities in a shallow sea

Potentialities of observing spatially localized inhomogeneities by the low-frequency low-mode pulsed diffraction tomography in a shallow sea are analyzed. A numerically simulated model is used to study the procedure of reconstructing the parameters of inhomogeneities by coprocessing the signals of the tomographic projections formed at the multistatic excitation and reception of low-frequency low-mode acoustic pulses.     

Copolymers of acrylic acid with urea

Composition and rheological characteristics of aqueous solutions of acrylic acid/urea copolymers were studied, including the composition dependences of the equivalent conductivity and viscosity.     

Thermochemistry of potassium morpholinodithiocarbamate

Results of thermochemical studies of a new compound, potassium morpholinodithiocarbamate, are presented. The enthalpies of its solution in water at various dilutions and the specific heat at 173–348 K were examined by the experimental methods of isothermal and dynamic calorimetry.     

Literal‐paraconsistent and literal‐paracomplete matrices

We introduce a family of matrices that define logics in which paraconsistency and/or paracompleteness occurs only at the level of literals, that is, formulas that are propositional letters or their iterated negations. We give a sound and complete axiomatization for the logic defined by the class of all these matrices, we give conditions for the maximality of these logics and we study in detail several relevant examples. On a method for studying the norm and the stability of solutions

We present a new method (the method of unitary transformations), which differs from the existing ones, for studying the stability and the norm of solutions of regular and singularly perturbed initial-value problems for nonautonomous linear and quasilinear systems of ODE with normal and “almost normal” matrices. Our results generalize similar theorems for the corresponding systems with constant matrices. This method allows one to avoid rather cumbersome traditional analysis, including the Lyapunov function method. For special classes of singularly perturbed problems, the method provides estimates for the norms of solutions in the presence of exponential or power boundary layers; these observations enrich the collection of known results in this field.     

Lower bounds for positive and negative parts of measures and the arrangement of singularities of their Laplace transforms

For a real measure with variation V(x) satisfying the estimate V(x) ≤ c ₀ exp(Cx) and for the Laplace transform holomorphic in the disk {¦ -C¦ ≤ C} and having at least one pole of order m, we obtain lower bounds for the positive and negative parts of the measure V _± (x) > cx ^m , x > x ₀. We establish lower bounds for V _+- (x) on “short” intervals. Applications to number theory of the results obtained are considered.     

Diffractive vector meson production at HERA: From soft to hard QCD

Experimental results from HERA on diffractive vector meson production and their theoretical interpretation within microscopic QCD are reviewed with an emphasis on the BFKL color dipole and k _T -factorization approaches. The text was submitted by the authors in English.     

Nuclear multifragmentation and phase transitions in hot nuclei

Nuclear multifragmentation is a new, multibody, decay mode of very hot nuclei. The key properties of this process that were measured are considered, such as the space-time and temperature characteristics. The experimental data for the critical temperature of the nuclear liquid-gas-phase transition are analyzed. Thermal multifragmentation is interpreted as a result of spinodal decomposition, which is actually the specific nuclear liquid-fog-phase transition of the first order. Electrodeposition of molybdenum oxide and its structural characteristics

The cathodic processes in electroplating of compact molybdenum oxide coatings onto supports made of 12Cr18Ni9Ti steel and aluminum are considered along with the physicochemical characteristics determining their service properties.
