The purpose of this study was to characterize the neurochemical profiles of various parts of the canine brain using proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, tissue extraction, and external simulated phantom concentration quantification. The occipital, frontal, and temporal lobes, thalami, cerebellar cortices, and spinal cords of five pure bred adult beagles were collected, and heavy water solutions for the nuclear magnetic resonance sample were prepared using the methanol–chloroform–water extraction method. The metabolite concentrations in canine brain tissues were measured and compared with those found in human and rat brain tissues. In addition, the cross peaks of Lac, Glu/Gln, and mIns were identified using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy in the canine frontal cortex. The present study demonstrated the absolute quantification of canine neuronal parts using in vitro high-resolution magnetic resonance spectroscopy, with tissue extraction used to accurately measure metabolite concentrations, thus providing valuable metabolic information regarding the various canine neuronal regions. 相似文献

Crystallization of 100 nm thick amorphous silicon (a-Si) films deposited on glass substrates was carried out using a dual-green-laser method. Depending on a-Si deposition method, either low-pressure chemical vapor deposition (LPCVD) or plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD), the density of impurities such as Al, K, and Na within the a-Si thin films significantly varied. For the high impurity case of LPCVD, grains of 200–300 nm in size were obtained, whereas for the PECVD case a maximum grain size of about 4 μm was achieved, satisfying the requirements for applications in commercial TFT devices. These results confirm that for the use of glass substrates in polycrystallization of a-Si, controlling the impurity density during substrate preparation is critical. 相似文献

Background
The mammalian taste bud, a complex collection of taste sensory cells, supporting cells, and immature basal cells, is the structural unit for detecting taste stimuli in the oral cavity. Even though the cells of the taste bud undergo constant turnover, the structural homeostasis of the bud is maintained by balancing cell proliferation and cell death. Compared with nongustatory lingual epithelial cells, taste cells express higher levels of several inflammatory receptors and signalling proteins. Whether inflammation, an underlying condition in some diseases associated with taste disorders, interferes with taste cell renewal and turnover is unknown. We review the search for a mediator of high-T c superconductivity focusing on ARPES experiment. In case of HTSC cuprates, we summarize and discuss a consistent view of electronic interactions that provides natural explanation of both the origin of the pseudogap state and the mechanism for high temperature superconductivity. Within this scenario, the spin-fluctuations play a decisive role in formation of the fermionic excitation spectrum in the normal state and are sufficient to explain the high transition temperatures to the superconducting state while the pseudogap phenomenon is a consequence of a Peierls-type intrinsic instability of electronic system to formation of an incommensurate density wave. On the other hand, a similar analysis being applied to the iron pnictides reveals especially strong electron-phonon coupling that suggests important role of phonons for high-T c superconductivity in pnictides. 相似文献

It was found that the photoelectrochemical performance and photocatalytic activity of rod-type TiO2 electrodes were affected by various post-calcination treatments, for example, calcination in NH3 or under vacuum. Post-calcination treatment in NH3 at 773 K was particularly effective in increasing the photoelectrochemical performance and photocatalytic activity of rod-type TiO2 electrodes. A unique photoelectrochemical circuit was constructed by connecting a rod-type TiO2 electrode to a Pt electrode through a silicon solar cell in which the negative bias was applied on the rod-type TiO2 electrode. A sensitive, selective, and simple liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry method has been developed for the simultaneous separation and determination of isosorbide dinitrate and its active metabolite, isosorbide 5-mononitrate, in human plasma. Topiramate was used as the internal standard. Sample preparation consisted of a simple one-step liquid–liquid extraction with ethylacetate without pH adjustment. The method was fully validated with respect to linearity, sensitivity, specificity, recovery, accuracy, and precision. Isosorbide dinitrate and isosorbide 5-mononitrate were stable in standard solution and in plasma samples under storage and processing conditions. The assay was successfully applied to the pharmacokinetic study of isosorbide dinitrate and isosorbide 5-mononitrate in human plasma. 相似文献
