We present the simulation results of the net charge fluctuation in Au Au collisions at √Snn=130 GeV from a dynamic model, JPCIAE, and its revisions. The simulations are done for the quark-gluon matter, the directly produced pions, the pion matter, and the hadron matter. The simulated net charge fluctuation of the quark-gluon matter is close to the thermal model prediction for the quark-gluon gas. However, the discrepancy exists comparing the simulated net charge fluctuation for directly produced pions and the pion matter with the thermal model prediction for pion gas and the resonance pion gas, respectively. The net charge fluctuation of hadron matter from default JPCIAE simulations is nearly 3.5 times larger than quark-gluon matter. A discussion is given for the net charge fluctuation as an evidence of QGP phase transition. 相似文献

Discrimination of interaural differences of level (IDLs) was measured for pure tones as a function of frequency and as a function of the interaural difference of phase or level of a standard. Varying the interaural difference of the standard was assumed to change the lateral position of its intracranial image. Threshold IDLs were approximately constant over a frequency range from 200-5000 Hz, except in a region near 1000 Hz where they were slightly elevated. Thresholds increased as the value of the standard interaural differences of phase or level increased, implying that interaural resolution declines as the lateral image moves away from midline. The results are generally consistent with the predictions of current models of lateralization, but additions to these models are required in order for them to account for the slight frequency dependence of threshold IDLs. 相似文献

In an experiment performed at Fermilab we have studied the production of high pt hadron jets from 400 GeV/c pp interactions. A large solid-angle, towered calorimeter was used to trigger and reconstruct the jet events. Signal detection in diotic (NoSo) and dichotic (NoS pi) conditions was measured as a function of the stimulus parameters of the noise that preceded the signal-plus-masker. When the signal and masker were both pulsed, dichotic signal detection was worse than when the masker was continuous or when the onset of the masker preceded the signal-plus-masker by at least 500 ms. The dichotic detection thresholds decreased as the duration of the pulsed signal plus pulsed masker was increased. The level, spectrum, interaural configuration, duration, and temporal proximity of the prior noise (forward fringe) relative to the masker and/or signal and masker were all investigated. Almost any difference between the parameters of the fringe and the masker resulted in poorer signal detection in the dichotic conditions. These same stimulus conditions produced small (less than 2.2 dB) changes in the diotic detection thresholds. The various models of the Masking-Level Difference (MLD) may be modified to qualitatively describe some of these results. 相似文献

5-Geranoxypsoralen, commonly called bergamottin, a major furocoumarin contained in bergamot oil, is reported in vitro as a highly photoreactive psoralen. In ethanol, it exhibits quite a high triplet state quantum yield (approximately 0.37). The triplet state is involved in subsequent photochemistry which depends on the initial concentration and on the presence of oxygen. In contrast to most psoralens, absorption and fluorescence data suggest that 5-geranoxypsoralen does not interact with DNA in the dark. No UVA-induced interstrand cross-links in DNA were shown. 相似文献

We describe a new intermediate-pressure MALDI linear ion trap mass spectrometer and its capabilities for imaging mass spectrometry. The instrument design is described and is characterized in terms of four performance issues (1) MALDI performance at intermediate pressure; (2) analysis of samples on non-conductive and conductive glass slides; (3) critical importance of tandem mass spectrometry (both MS2 and MS3) for identification of analyte species and imaging of isobaric species; (4) capability for repeated analysis of the same tissue section. The Λ multiplicity and Λ/p ratio are studied by hadron transportation-string fragmentation model in relativistic heavy ion collisions. Firstly, the dependence of Λ multiplicity and Λ/p ratio on the system size and the collision centrality is studied. It shows that the Λ and p multiplicities go up as the increase of system size and the increase of collision centrality. However, their ratio keeps almost a constant. The effect of Λ annihilation cross section to Λ multiplicity and Λ/p ratio is also studied. It is found that this effect is weak: Λ multiplicity and Λ/p ratio have a little amount of increase by the decrease of Λ annihilation cross section. Even the cross section is down to zero, Λ/p ratio is only 1.2 in 200A GeV AuAu head on collision. The Λ/p ratio is obtained to be 0.28 in pp collision, lying in the range of experimental data:0.2—0.3. It is also obtained that the ratio in AA collisions is 3—5 times of that in pp collision. 相似文献
